395: Is it really here to compete?

The huge electronic screen lit up, starting to broadcast the synchronized footage. The audience's attention was drawn to it, and the noise subsided slightly.

First, the USA contestant strode confidently out of the tunnel, leading his Pit Bull named “Caesar.”

The Pit Bull was heavily muscled, its steps heavy and powerful. It wore a special, thick collar, its eyes fierce. It occasionally bared its teeth, letting out a low growl toward the cameras and the stands, full of provocation.

The big screen showed a close-up of its menacing face, immediately followed by gasps and excited whistles from the stands. The cheers from the European and American audiences were the loudest: “Caesar! Tear them apart!”

“Champion! Champion!”

The USA contestant proudly waved his arm, showing off himself and his “ace” to the cameras in every direction, as if the championship was already in the bag.

Next was the Japan contestant, taking quick, measured steps, leading his Shiba Inu named “Takamatsu Sanae” onto the stage.

The Shiba Inu's steps were light and precise, its coat sleek. It held its head high and followed its owner's guidance with focused eyes, showing excellent adaptability and concentration regarding the surrounding noise, demonstrating the results of rigorous training.

The Japan contestant wore an expression of deliberately maintained reserve and confidence.

On the big screen, the Shiba Inu's elegant posture and keen reactions also earned applause from some audience members, especially those from Asia and lovers of Japanese Dog Breeds.

The Bangzi Nation contestant also entered, leading his Jindo Dog, whose fur was meticulously groomed and adorned with sparkling accessories. He tried hard to straighten his back and save face, but the level of attention was clearly lower than the previous two, with only scattered cheers from the Bangzi Nation audience.

Subsequently, contestants from other countries and their beloved dogs appeared one after another:

A Germany contestant led a German Shepherd with smooth lines and calm eyes, its steps steady and its discipline extremely high.

A Netherlands contestant brought a Belgian Malinois (Malinois) full of explosive muscle power and vigorous energy, constantly looking left and right, appearing extremely alert.

A contestant from a Fighting Nation led a massive, thick-furred Caucasian Shepherd Dog, which was like a moving hill, full of deterrent power.

There were also Dobermans, Rottweilers, Border Collies, and various other breeds famous for their intelligence, obedience, or fighting ability.

With each entrance, the big screen provided a close-up, and supporters from the corresponding countries or enthusiasts of that breed would erupt in enthusiastic cheers.

The atmosphere grew increasingly heated, and the air was thick with the scent of competition and the desire for the championship.

These dogs each had unique characteristics, but without exception, they all appeared spirited and well-trained, displaying a strong competitive stance.

The broadcast loudly announced: “Next up is the contestant from Dragon Nation, Ms. Lei Jun, and her partner, the Chinese Pastoral Dog—'A'Fu'!”

Lei Jun's figure appeared in the light and shadow of the tunnel entrance.

Her exquisitely beautiful features and unique, refined temperament still made her stand out among the many contestants, instantly attracting numerous gazes.

Meanwhile, A'Fu, walking by her feet, still maintained his most simple and unadorned appearance... yellowish-brown fur, a well-proportioned but certainly not massive build, a docile and calm expression, and a relaxed, almost leisurely pace, following closely beside Lei Jun, occasionally looking up at her with eyes full of dependence and trust.

It formed an incredibly stark contrast with the surrounding competing dogs—some fierce, some capable, some radiating killing intent—looking like a fawn that had stumbled into a jungle of predators.

The big screen immediately captured this scene of extreme contrast. Lei Jun's beauty and demeanor drew some admiration, but the greater focus and discussion quickly fell upon the “plain and unremarkable” little yellow dog at her feet.

In the Dragon Nation spectator area, where Tony, Qin Yu, and Lin Xiaoya were seated, the loudest, most unified, and most emotionally charged shouts yet instantly erupted from the stands:

“Lei Jun! Go! A'Fu! Go!”

“A'Fu must win! Chinese Pastoral Dog is mighty!”

“Let the world see what we can do!”

“A'Fu! You are the best!”

They shouted until they were hoarse, their faces flushed red, waving everything they could hold, channeling all the accumulated anger, frustration, and hope through these cheers, transforming them into supporting power for the woman and the dog in the arena.

However, before their cheers could fade, they were completely drowned out by the sudden, much louder burst of mocking laughter, whistles, and jeers from other areas!

“Hahaha! Look, look! Dragon Nation's 'secret weapon' has arrived!”

“My God, is this a Dragon Nation Local Dog? It's even more... ordinary than I imagined!”

“Is it really here to compete?”

“It looks completely harmless. I bet it wouldn't even dare bark loudly!”

“Oh, the poor dog. Does it know what it's about to face?”

“Caesar (Pit Bull) could swat it away with one paw, couldn't he?”

“Takamatsu Sanae (Shiba Inu) could easily crush it!”

“Are the Dragon Nation people here to be funny? They dare bring out a dog like this?”

“It seems their country really doesn't have any decent dogs left. How pathetic.”

“Champion? Are they dreaming?”

Taunts in various languages, mixed with unrestrained laughter, clearly spread throughout the noisy venue.

Many people pointed at A'Fu on the big screen, laughing uncontrollably as if they had seen the funniest joke of the year.

Some contestants from other countries also showed undisguised contemptuous smiles in the waiting area, especially those from the USA, Japan, and Bangzi Nation, exchanging glances, their sneers nearly reaching their ears.

Tony was shaking with anger, his meticulously styled hair nearly coming undone, and he shrieked.

“These tasteless, short-sighted barbarians! What do they know! A'Fu is being low-key! He's reserved! Oh My God, I'm so angry! I'm so angry!”

Qin Yu clenched his back teeth, the veins on his forehead twitching slightly. He stared intensely at the calm Lei Jun and the docile A'Fu in the arena, feeling a fire burning inside him.

He felt immense anger and humiliation over the mockery, yet he couldn't help but feel a sliver of worry: A'Fu... can he really do it? This atmosphere, the pressure is too much.

But he immediately suppressed that worry, leaving only stronger support and conviction: If Sister Lei brought him, he must be capable!

Lin Xiaoya was so angry that tears were welling up in her eyes. She desperately waved her cheering stick and shouted with all her might: “A'Fu! Go! Don't listen to their nonsense! You are the greatest!”

She was anxious and furious, wishing she could rush down immediately and beat up all the mockers.

Lei Jun appeared to be inside a soundproof barrier, completely indifferent to the deafening noise and malice coming from the stands.

She didn't even look up toward the source of the noise, simply walking calmly with A'Fu to the waiting position marked with the Dragon Nation flag.
