250: I must pledge my allegiance to you

Lei Jun's first reaction was one of disbelief.

She had to confirm whether she had misheard.

The system was truly miraculous; the previous draws had made her a major shareholder in three trillion-dollar companies and granted her the identity of a member of the top-tier Lei Clan.

But this time, she had directly drawn the king of a country? And with absolute loyalty?

This had completely exceeded her understanding of what the prizes could be. Was the system... starting to play less and less by the rules?

She immediately focused her mind and began to examine the details carefully.

The current King of Thailand has become the host Lei Jun's most loyal and unshakable subordinate.

This allegiance is directly implanted and guaranteed by system rules, with loyalty fixed at the highest level.

The King himself retains all autonomous consciousness, memory, and royal responsibilities, but simultaneously gives the highest priority to the host Lei Jun's instructions.

Furthermore, the King himself can clearly perceive the existence of this constraint.

In other words, from the depths of his soul, this King now considers his allegiance to Lei Jun to be a natural and supreme mission, and he is well aware of the price of betrayal.

Lei Jun sat there, digesting this information.

The system was truly impressive to be able to pull off such a feat.

This was no longer just the granting of wealth and skills; this was direct intervention to change the will and allegiance of a national leader!

Though it sounded incredible, the abilities the system had previously displayed forced her to believe it was real.

So, here was the question.

Would this King really follow her every word as the system claimed?

How would a person who controls a state machine react when actually faced with specific commands, especially complex ones involving national interests or international relations, even if influenced by the system?

Could his loyalty withstand the test of realpolitik?

Or could the system's 'absolute loyalty' cover all complex situations?

Lei Jun's heart was filled with questions and caution.

She wasn't so naive as to think she could do whatever she wanted just because she had a King as a subordinate; the matters involved were far too many and too sensitive.

But regardless, this was a resource with potentially massive influence.

While she was immersed in these chaotic thoughts, the phone on the desk suddenly vibrated. The screen lit up, showing a foreign number with an area code belonging to Thailand.

Lei Jun was startled.

Sawadika?

It couldn't be?

She picked up the phone, looked at the unfamiliar international number, took a deep breath, and pressed the answer button. Her tone was calm: "Hello?"

A middle-aged male voice came from the other end. His tone carried a characteristic solemnity, yet at this moment, it was filled with excitement and awe. Most importantly, he spoke standard Mandarin.

"Hello! Most noble Master! I am the King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn!"

Despite being mentally prepared, hearing the other party identify himself personally still made Lei Jun feel a slight wave of dizziness.

It really... was the King himself calling!

The King's voice continued, his speech rapid as if he were eager to express himself.

"It's miraculous! The system! That Great Being! It made me understand everything in an instant! I—I must pledge my allegiance to you; it is a supreme decree!"

"You see, my Mandarin—I speak it so fluently now; this is also a gift from the system! Just a moment ago, my mind was filled with everything about you, as well as the absolute principle that I must serve you and obey your every command!"

His voice carried a hint of fear, but it was mostly filled with awe and determination.

"I... I can feel it, that constraining power. It tells me with absolute clarity that if I have even the slightest thought or act of betrayal toward you, my life will be taken instantly by the most terrible disease."

"This is not a threat; it is a realization from the depths of my soul. Therefore, noble Master, please be completely at ease! I, and all the power of Thailand that I possess, shall be at your disposal!"

Lei Jun listened quietly without interrupting.

The King's tone did not seem feigned; that mixture of excitement, awe, fear, and the urgency to prove his loyalty felt very real.

Especially the constraint he mentioned feeling—it matched the system's description.

"Master, please, do not be polite!" The King's voice became even more earnest.

"Whatever instructions you have, no matter how big or small the matter, please be sure to tell me! As long as it is within my power, I will give my all. Even if I must mobilize the power of the entire Thailand, I will not hesitate!"

"Please give me the opportunity to serve you!"

Lei Jun's thoughts spun rapidly.

It seemed the system really had done it, and the effect appeared to be quite thorough.

From his performance on the phone, this King had completely accepted his new identity as a subordinate, or even a servant, and was eager to prove his worth.

A King of a country had become her subordinate... Did this mean that, theoretically, she could truly mobilize the power of a nation?

Though she knew very well that actual operations could never be as simple as the King said—nations have laws, parliaments, various interest groups, and international scrutiny, and a King's power is not without limits.

But this was still an unimaginably huge advantage and backing.

Think about it: if she needed a rare resource, a special channel, or required great convenience or protection in a region... the role this 'subordinate' could play might be more direct and effective than hundreds of billions in funds.

Just thinking about it was a bit thrilling.

It was a subtle feeling of controlling extraordinary power, and she immediately told herself to stay calm and use it cautiously.

Right now, she quickly thought about whether there was anything she needed this King subordinate to do immediately.

Business investment?

Her development in Dragon Country was already going smoothly; she didn't need to extend into Thailand for the time being.

Handling trouble?

Currently, the waters were calm.

Obtaining special resources or intelligence?

She couldn't think of anything specific she needed at the moment.

Thus, Lei Jun spoke calmly into the phone, "I understand. Thank you for your loyalty. For now, I don't have anything I specifically need you to do."

The King on the other end seemed a bit anxious and somewhat disappointed: "Master, do you really not need me to do anything for you? Anything at all is fine!"

Lei Jun could imagine his desperate desire to prove himself, so she softened her tone with a hint of encouragement: "Do your job as King well. Govern your country properly and maintain stability and prosperity; that in itself is beneficial to me. If I have a need in the future, I will naturally contact you."

Hearing Lei Jun say this, the King's voice immediately became incredibly respectful: "Yes! Yes! Master! I understand! I will certainly govern with diligence and be ready to serve you at any time! You will always be my only Master. At any time, if you have any requirements, please feel free to instruct me!"

He then respectfully inquired about Lei Jun's current situation and expressed his sincere wishes for his Master's health and for everything to go smoothly, his attitude as humble as a true vassal paying respects to his lord.
