251: We would like to ask you for leave.

Lei Jun gave a brief reply before ending the call.

Putting down her phone, Lei Jun leaned back in her chair and let out a long breath.

Although the conversation just now was brief, the amount of information was huge, and the impact on her was not small.

She couldn't help but exclaim in her heart again, the System is truly too miraculous!

This ability to change the will of real-world figures and establish a master-servant relationship directly across national borders and social strata was simply like a myth.

She even had a bolder, more outrageous thought.

If the System can make a King of a country my subordinate, could the President of the USA also become my subordinate someday???

The thought itself seemed interesting.

But she couldn't help but feel that, given the System's current pace of upgrades and lottery draws, perhaps nothing was impossible?

She wondered what the scene would be like if that day truly came.

However, that was too far off; for now, she needed to handle the matters at hand.

She shook her head, temporarily setting aside these overly futuristic ideas.

Her gaze returned to the System interface.

Besides the lottery, the System Mall was also a place she frequently checked.

With a thought, the list for the System Mall unfolded.

She scanned the familiar items, her gaze suddenly stopping on a newly refreshed item at the bottom of the list.

[God-level Gambling Skill]: Costs 10,000 godly tycoon coins.

Gambling Skill?

God-level Gambling Skill?

Lei Jun's first reaction to this new skill was confusion and a slight repulsion.

Gambling?

What use would she have for this?

She was now a Godly Tycoon, possessing inexhaustible money, vast assets, various high-end skills, and even a King as a subordinate.

Gambling, in her eyes, carried a somewhat negative connotation, and she neither had the occasion nor the interest to engage in it normally. Throwing money around in a casino?

She had no such hobby. Winning money using gambling skills?

Money was the last thing she lacked.

However... the words 'God-level' made her hesitate.

None of the God-level skills produced by the System so far had been weak.

Since this God-level Gambling Skill was titled as such, it probably wasn't just about knowing how to play cards or shake dice.

Could it include powerful probability calculation, psychological insight, memory, manual dexterity control, and a series of superhuman abilities?

What if these abilities were applied elsewhere?

For instance, in the game of the financial market, in a sense?

Or simply as an extreme form of mental exercise and demonstration of control?

Lei Jun pondered.

She currently possessed a considerable amount of godly tycoon coins, so paying ten thousand was not an issue.

Buying it would be good as a reserve skill, even if she couldn't use it immediately.

What if it was needed in some situation in the future?

After all, the System wouldn't suddenly refresh this skill for no reason, right?

Perhaps it was a form of preparation for unforeseen circumstances?

Thinking this, Lei Jun stopped hesitating.

"System, purchase 'God-level Gambling Skill'."

[Purchase Successful]

In an instant, a massive stream of information flooded into Lei Jun's mind.

There was no intense change in physical coordination; instead, it was a violent expansion and reconstruction of the cognitive areas of the brain.

She 'saw' the history, rules, and variations of countless gambling games, from simple dice and cards to complex roulette, blackjack, Texas Hold'em, and even bizarre gambling methods from all over the world.

She not only knew the rules but instantly grasped the mathematical probability, optimal strategy, and risk expectation value behind every game.

It was as if she had experienced thousands of gambling rounds, becoming intimately familiar with every card combination, dice roll distribution, and roulette landing pattern, able to perform rapid mental calculations and probability deductions as naturally as breathing.

Simultaneously, another, deeper ability was awakened.

She felt her observational skills become extremely sharp, as if she could see through the subtle twitching of opponents' facial muscles, changes in their pupils, and unconscious small movements, discerning the hidden emotions, intentions, and flaws beneath.

Her hearing also seemed to become exceptionally keen, able to capture the extremely subtle differences in the sound of dice colliding inside a cup, even constructing a model of their trajectory in her mind based on sound alone.

Her fingers transmitted a marvelous sensation, as if through the slightest tactile feedback, she could precisely control the angle and force of a card, executing sleight of hand maneuvers that were theoretically incredible.

More importantly, an intuition called 'gambler's instinct' or 'risk decision-making' was elevated to its absolute peak.

When facing uncertainty and risk, she could weigh the pros and cons in a flash, finding the path hidden among countless possibilities that was optimal, or rather, the one that best suited her desires.

This was not reckless adventurism, but an absolute sense of control built upon vast knowledge, precise calculation, and superhuman intuition.

A moment later, the infusion ended.

Lei Jun opened her eyes; her gaze was clear, but a profound depth that seemed to see through the random nature of things lingered in the depths of her eyes.

She flexed her fingers—nothing special seemed to happen—but she knew that if a deck of cards were in front of her now, she could memorize the order of every card the moment they were shuffled.

If there were a dice cup, she could listen to the approximate range of the numbers each shake produced.

This skill... was indeed quite interesting.

Although she still didn't think she would actively participate in gambling, this extreme insight and control over probability, human nature, and the situation itself was, in essence, a powerful mental tool.

Perhaps it really could be useful in some unexpected places.

At the very least, in the future, in any setting involving elements of chance, she could ensure she stood in an absolutely unbeatable position, or at least, possessed the clarity to completely see through the essence of the game.

This feeling was not bad... A few days later, on an ordinary afternoon, Su Qing and Su Ya came to Lei Jun's study together.

The two looked hesitant to speak, but finally, Su Qing spoke first, her tone apologetic yet hopeful: "Miss Lei, we would like to request leave from you."

"Oh? Is something the matter?" Lei Jun looked up from the tablet computer in her hand and asked gently.

Su Ya took over, her face showing joy: "We are from Thailand. Our older brother is getting married in Thailand next month."

"We must go back to attend."

Thailand?

Lei Jun's heart stirred.

What a coincidence?

She had just spoken on the phone with the King of that country, becoming his nominal master, and now her housekeeper and organizer wanted to return there for a wedding?

She looked at Su Qing and Su Ya in surprise.

"You are from Thailand? I always thought you were from Dragon Country."

This surprise wasn't entirely feigned.

The Su Qing and Su Ya sisters, whether in appearance (although they had some soft Southeast Asian features, they looked more like overseas Chinese), temperament, or their fluent Mandarin with almost no accent, and their daily habits, all led Lei Jun to initially assume they were from Dragon Country, or at most, overseas Chinese.

She never expected them to be citizens of Thailand.
