314: Are you out of your mind?
Songphong hit him for a while until his strength was exhausted.
He pointed at Atapong on the ground, so agitated he was speechless: "You... you... you even have a wife... what am I supposed to say! How can you be so useless!"
His heart was filled with despair as he looked at everything before him, not knowing what to do.
The family savings are gone, and the car, house, and factory will all be lost as compensation. How is the family supposed to live from now on?
Nala looked at the bruised and swollen Atapong, then thought of her own lost savings and the online loans her husband had taken out. The rage in her heart instantly erupted.
She struggled to crawl up from the ground, rushed to Atapong's side, grabbed him by the chest, and cursed at him: "I told you not to play so big, not to act so tough! Now look, ah!!! It's all over!"
Nala hated Atapong to death in her heart.
If Atapong hadn't insisted on betting so big against Su Cha, if Atapong hadn't insisted on showing off in front of everyone, how could she have ended up in this state today?
Among that money were the savings she had scrimped and saved, as well as the online loans borrowed just to save face. Now it's all gone. She'll be burdened with massive debt, and life will be unbearable!
Atapong had just been beaten by his father and was already full of anger; now, being scolded to his face by Nala, his temper flared up as well.
He shoved Nala away and roared, "What are you yelling for! You're so loud!"
He pointed at Nala and hissed.
"Weren't you fucking playing along with me just now? Didn't you also think we could win back then? Now that we've lost, you're pushing all the responsibility onto me? What right do you have to talk to me like that!"
Atapong felt wronged in his heart.
The reason he dared to bet so big was also because Nala was fanning the flames from the side, saying everyone was afraid of him and wouldn't dare to follow the bet.
Now that they lost, Nala turned around and scolded him instead, which he found unacceptable.
Nala stumbled from Atapong's shove. After steadying herself, she became even more furious.
She said angrily, "Who the fuck knew you were so detestable! Who knew they would actually dare to lend money to Su Cha and actually dare to go against you!"
"They all thought you had a triple, yet they still rushed to borrow money just to screw you over! Can you blame me for that?" Atapong hissed back in retort, though he felt some regret in his heart.
He hadn't expected everyone to support Su Cha so much, to actually be willing to take out their hard-earned money to help Su Cha follow the bet.
"If I don't blame you, who should I blame!" Nala could no longer hold back. Using all her strength, she gave Atapong a vicious slap.
The slap was incredibly powerful. With a crisp "crack," it sent Atapong tumbling back onto the gambling table.
Still not satisfied after the slap, Nala roared at Atapong.
"If you hadn't insisted on acting tough and playing so big, would we have lost like this? It would have been fine if they were playing for a dollar or two, but you insisted on playing for five hundred right from the start!"
"You even insisted on wagering the car! Why are you such a show-off! Are you mentally ill!"
Seeing Atapong's soul-crushed and silent state, Nala's anger intensified.
She grabbed Atapong's chest again and shook him violently: "Don't you fucking play dead with me! Say something! Why did you have to act like a big shot for the sake of face! You think you're rich? You're nothing but a nouveau riche! Speak up! Are you mute???"
As she spoke, she gave Atapong a hard shove, knocking him to the ground.
Atapong fell heavily to the floor and didn't get up for a long time.
Atapong was left speechless by his wife's rebuke and had lost his temper from the beating.
He just lay there dejectedly on the ground, crying and muttering: "It's over... it's all over... my factory... my house... all gone..."
His heart was filled with despair. It was too late for anything now; everything was beyond redemption.
Su Cha stood to the side, coldly watching the scene of the couple tearing into each other and fighting internally.
Although their infighting was very satisfying and felt like they were getting what they deserved, it also made him feel very disgusted.
Su Cha thought to himself that this was the true face of Atapong and Nala; once they lost, they didn't think about how to take responsibility, but instead pointed fingers and hit each other.
This kind of person didn't deserve any sympathy at all.
He just wanted to settle the bets quickly, take back what belonged to him, and then never have anything to do with this family again.
He said coldly, "Have you two had enough! The cards have been revealed, you lost, it's time to settle the score!"
Hearing Su Cha's words, Atapong, Songphong, and Nala all panicked instantly, their expressions becoming even more unsightly.
Atapong's heart skipped a beat; this was what he feared most.
If the bets were truly settled, his car, house, and factory would all go to Su Cha. By then, he would truly have nothing left.
He hurriedly scrambled up from the ground, his eyes darting around, not daring to meet Su Cha's gaze.
Songphong also panicked. He had just been furious because his son lost money, but now, hearing the words "settle the score," he realized the most terrifying part was still to come.
He quickly moved to Atapong's side, tugged on Atapong's arm, and whispered urgently, likely trying to think of a way out.
Nala's face also turned pale in an instant.
She had just been fighting with Atapong, but hearing Su Cha wanting to settle the score, fear instantly overwhelmed her anger.
Once the settlement happened, everything she had would be gone.
She began to scheme in her heart about how to play dirty so she wouldn't have to give the money and assets to Su Cha.
The surrounding crowd, seeing the Atapong family's soul-crushed state and their infighting, felt very satisfied and began to mock them.
"Keep being arrogant! Why aren't you arrogant anymore? Weren't you quite the big shot just now? Now you know how to be afraid?"
"Hahaha, this is what you get! You usually look down on us, and now you've lost! And you still have to settle the debt. Serves you right!"
"If you lose, you have to admit it; if you owe a debt, you have to pay! Hand over the stuff quickly, don't waste time here!"
"Exactly, stop stalling! We're still waiting to see how you hand everything over to Su Cha!"
Su Cha looked at Atapong and the others coldly and said in an icy tone, "If you want to argue, you can go home and argue all you want; no one cares! But now..."
At this point, Su Cha slammed his fist onto the table. With a loud "thud," the table shook.
His eyes were chilling as he continued, "It's time to settle the score!"
He pointed at the stakes on the table and began the tally.
"Five hundred thousand in cash, plus your audi, the house in the city, and your factory—these were all the stakes you put up. Now that you've lost, all of this belongs to me. Do you choose to transfer the titles, or pay the cash equivalent? You pick!"
