133: No wonder Tony did that.
Tony continued his nagging.
"Your usual style is quite minimalist. This ponytail can go with both formal and casual wear, and it's easy to maintain. You can just comb it a few times in the morning and head out. If you want to change your style later, you can clip a hairpin on the ponytail or braid a couple of small strands; it's very versatile."
Listening to his rambling, Lei Jun felt even sleepier.
She felt that as long as it didn't take too much time to manage in the morning, it was fine.
But seeing Tony's serious expression, she didn't interrupt and let him continue.
Looking at Lei Jun's vacant eyes, Tony knew she hadn't listened to a single word.
Sigh!
It didn't matter. He would talk to Lei Jun more; one day she would understand that a good hairstyle can significantly elevate a person's entire temperament.
After finishing the layering, Tony began to tie the ponytail, using a fine-toothed comb to gently loosen the hair at the crown of her head.
"You need to leave a bit of volume here, otherwise, it'll stick to the scalp and look old-fashioned. See? Doesn't this make the top of your head look higher? And your face looks smaller and more delicate too, right?"
Lei Jun looked in the mirror and indeed felt that the top of her head didn't look so flat anymore.
She nodded. "Mm, it's quite good."
Tony took a bit of hair wax, rubbed it between his fingertips, and gently applied it to the stray hairs.
"This way, the stray hairs won't fly around, and the style will hold all day. When you manage it yourself later, remember to use less wax, or your hair will look greasy."
He adjusted the curve of the stray hairs as he spoke, carefully fine-tuning the direction of every single strand.
Lei Jun nodded in satisfaction, seeing his focused expression.
Although this man talked a lot, such meticulousness was truly rare... A little after four in the afternoon, a low-profile black nanny van parked near "Phantom Styling."
Wearing large sunglasses and a bucket hat, Yang Mi—dressed fashionably but deliberately keeping a low profile—walked quickly into the salon, accompanied by her assistant.
She stated her identity directly and was led to the second floor.
The closer she got to that VIP room, the stronger Yang Mi's curiosity became.
"Just what kind of person is it? To make Tony risk offending me just to postpone my appointment to pick them up from the airport? A member of some royal family? Or the daughter of some super tycoon?"
Several guesses flashed through her mind, but she couldn't be sure of any.
Arriving at the door of the VIP room, she knocked gently.
"Come in," Tony's voice came from inside.
Yang Mi pushed the door open and entered, casually removing her sunglasses and hat to reveal her exquisite face, hailed as that of a "Top-tier Goddess."
Today, she was wearing high-end ready-to-wear from the current season. Her makeup was light yet meticulously done, and her temperament was bright and moving, carrying the unique aura of a megastar.
Through the mirror in front of her, Lei Jun saw Yang Mi walking in.
She recognized this household-name female star.
Yang Mi's appearance was indeed outstanding; it was the kind of aggressive, bright beauty that fit mainstream aesthetic standards. Her physique management was impeccable, her fashion taste was on point, and her entire being radiated the confidence and star quality refined by the vanity fair.
So it was Yang Mi.
It seemed Tony's status in this circle was indeed high, for even a star of this level had to visit in person.
Seeing Yang Mi, Tony didn't stop his hands, his tone carrying the focus of his work: "Sister Mi, take a seat for a moment. I'll be done here soon; I must finish the final touches on Miss Lei's hairstyle."
Yang Mi immediately responded politely, "It's fine, Tony. You go ahead, I'm not in a hurry."
However, her gaze involuntarily drifted toward Lei Jun, who had her back turned to her.
When she saw Lei Jun's profile and that flowing silver hair through the mirror, Yang Mi felt her breath hitch!
What kind of face was that?
The skin was so fair and translucent it seemed almost unreal. The distribution and lines of her features were as perfect as if they had undergone the strictest mathematical calculations. Combined, they formed a beauty that transcended gender and struck the soul directly.
Especially that long silver hair, like moonlight condensed into frost, which shimmered with a soft yet cold luster under the indoor lights. It perfectly complemented her cold, ethereal temperament that seemed detached from the mortal world.
Just sitting there quietly, she seemed to be a world of her own, attracting all the light and attention.
"So... so beautiful!" Yang Mi screamed silently in her heart. "I've been in the entertainment industry for so many years and seen so many actresses and models famous for their beauty, both domestic and foreign... but... not one of them!"
"Absolutely not one person can compare to the girl in front of me!"
Whether it was the exquisiteness of her features or that natural, cold, and noble temperament that existed without any deliberate effort, she had reached a height Yang Mi had never imagined.
An indescribable sense of defeat and self-consciousness instantly surged in her heart.
She subconsciously compared herself to Lei Jun in the mirror, and the result left her feeling powerless and deeply struck.
Her own pride-worthy beauty and star quality, in the face of the other's almost non-human, pure, and translucent beauty, seemed tainted by the dust of the mundane world, appearing somewhat... overdone?
"No wonder... no wonder Tony did that..."
She now completely understood Tony's choice.
Faced with such a peerless beauty, any stylist would see her as the highest challenge and the ultimate temptation of their career. Canceling an appointment with a star like her was really nothing in comparison.
Tony remained undisturbed, still meticulously finishing the final stage of styling for Lei Jun, while rambling on with tips on how to maintain the hairstyle in the future.
Yang Mi waited for over an hour, but she didn't have the slightest complaint; instead, her heart was filled with complex emotions.
When Tony finally announced the completion and, with an expression of immense satisfaction and pride, asked Lei Jun to examine the final result, even he couldn't help but scream internally.
"Perfect, too perfect!"
"This movement, this luster, and the way these perfectly placed curves highlight her coldness and ethereal aura!"
"Miss Lei's existence is simply to prove the limits of beauty!"
Lei Jun looked at herself in the mirror and nodded in satisfaction. "Very good, Tony, thank you."
Meanwhile, Yang Mi, standing to the side, was even more dumbfounded.
"So beautiful... this is simply God's most perfect masterpiece..."
Her heart was incredibly shaken, and a thought suddenly popped out.
"For such a person not to act in movies is simply a loss for the global film industry! This face alone is enough to carry any arthouse film or commercial blockbuster!"
But immediately following that, a more realistic thought overrode the previous one.
"A pity? No, what's there to be pity about!"
"If someone like this really entered the entertainment industry, what would be left for the rest of us female stars?"
"It wouldn't even be competition on the same dimension; we'd be crushed until we had no presence at all!"
Moreover, she keenly noticed that Lei Jun's seemingly simple clothing was actually worth a fortune.
The seemingly low-profile watch on her wrist was an astronomical-priced limited edition, and combined with the background that could make Tony treat her this way...
