257: Su Qing and Su Ya's hometown

These words were a bit heavy. Although it was a rhetorical question, how could Su Qing and Su Ya dare to respond?

They knew Lei Jun said it on purpose just to prevent them from refusing again.

Su Qing was both moved and helpless, her eyes welling up again. "Miss Lei, we didn't mean that... it's just... we feel it's too much of an expense for you..."

"I am willing," Lei Jun said simply. She then signaled Lei Ying to put the gifts away. "There's no need to discuss this further. Get ready, we're going to your home."

Su Qing and Su Ya exchanged a look, knowing that saying anything more would be useless.

Besides gratitude toward Lei Jun, their hearts were filled with a heavy sense of warmth.

Miss Lei was truly too good to them.

The group rented a spacious SUV. With Lei Ying driving, they left the bustle of Bangkok and headed toward Su Qing and Su Ya's hometown.

Their hometown wasn't in a popular tourist area, but in a province in central Thailand, about a three to four-hour drive from Bangkok.

As they drove further south, the urban landscape was gradually replaced by pastoral scenery.

On both sides of the road were stretches of rice paddies, orchards, and scattered village huts.

The air became fresh, carrying the scent of soil and plants.

Su Qing's home was in a village that wasn't exactly remote, but wasn't developed either.

The village was distributed along a narrow river. Most of the houses were traditional Thai stilt wooden houses, but there were also many newly built small concrete buildings, a mix of old and new.

The village road was made of cement and was fairly level, though not very wide.

There were small grocery stores by the roadside, and the golden spires of temples glinted in the sunlight. Children played barefoot, chasing each other, while dogs lay lazily under the eaves.

The pace of life seemed slow and peaceful.

Su Qing's house was located further inside the village. It was a semi-new Thai stilt house, with the open ground floor used for parking motorcycles and storing farm tools and miscellaneous items.

The main structure was wooden and clearly had some years on it, but it was well-maintained, clean, and tidy.

In front of the house was a small yard enclosed by a fence, where some flowers and a papaya tree were planted.

At this moment, the yard had been cleaned thoroughly, and some festive decorations hung under the eaves, clearly prepared for the wedding.

The car stopped outside the yard, attracting the attention of the neighbors.

Such a grand SUV was not a common sight in the village.

Su Qing's parents, brother, sister-in-law, and several relatives, who had long since received the call and were waiting at home, all came out to greet them.

Su Qing's parents looked like typical Thai farmers, their skin tanned dark by the sun, with simple and warm smiles on their faces.

The father was not tall, lean, and had a very kind gaze; the mother was slightly plump and wore an apron, looking like a hardworking and capable housewife at a glance.

The brother looked like his father, appearing honest and simple. He wore an ordinary shirt and trousers and seemed a bit shy upon meeting strangers.

The sister-in-law stood beside the brother. Just as Su Qing had said, she was gentle and beautiful with fairer skin, carrying the shyness and joy of a new bride.

Su Qing and Su Ya jumped out of the car first, excitedly greeting and hugging their family in Thai.

Then they quickly turned around and introduced everyone in Chinese to their family: "Dad, Mom, Brother, Sister-in-law, this is Miss Lei, the boss of Xiao Ya and me, and also our benefactor. This is Miss Lei Ying, Miss Lei's Bodyguard."

When Su Qing's parents saw their daughters' respectful attitude and then looked at Lei Jun and Lei Ying getting out of the car, they were immediately awestruck.

Lei Jun's rare silver hair, her exquisite features that seemed otherworldly, her cold and transcendent temperament, and the nobility she exuded that couldn't be hidden even in simple casual clothes, all left them feeling somewhat at a loss.

Although Lei Ying was silent, her posture was upright, her gaze sharp, and her aura strong; she clearly wasn't an ordinary person.

Su Qing's brother and sister-in-law also became visibly nervous, pressing their palms together in a respectful greeting. "Sawatdee-ka, welcome, welcome."

Su Qing hurriedly translated from the side.

Lei Jun also learned to press her palms together in return and said in Chinese, "Hello, sorry for the intrusion."

Then, Lei Ying took out those several exquisite gift bags from the car.

Lei Jun took them and personally handed them to Su Qing's parents.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Here are some small gifts to congratulate you on the wedding."

Su Qing's father and mother looked at those beautifully packaged bags. Although they didn't know exactly what was inside, they knew from the packaging and the logos on the bags that they were definitely not cheap.

The two of them hurriedly waved their hands. The father said urgently, "We can't, we can't! It is our greatest blessing that an honored guest could come! How could we accept such heavy gifts!"

The mother also echoed him repeatedly.

Lei Jun had already expected this. Her attitude was gentle but firm as she directly pressed the box containing the gold bracelets into Su Qing's mother's hands and handed the box containing the watch to Su Qing's father. "Please do not refuse. This is my sentiment toward you as a... friend of Su Qing and Su Ya. It is also a blessing for the newlyweds. Please be sure to accept them."

Her tone had no fluctuations, but it carried a natural power that made it impossible to resist.

Su Qing and Su Ya also persuaded them from the side, "Dad, Mom, it's Miss Lei's sincere sentiment, just accept it."

Su Qing's parents looked at the boxes in their hands and then at the elegant Lei Jun before them, hesitating again and again.

They could feel that this young lady was sincere; refusing would instead seem inconsiderate.

Ultimately, the father gave a simple smile, said a few words of thanks, and signaled his wife to accept.

The mother held the boxes, her hands trembling slightly, feeling both grateful and uneasy.

Next, Lei Jun gave the suit and belt to the brother, and the skincare products and silk scarf to the sister-in-law.

The newlyweds were even more overwhelmed by the favor. Especially the sister-in-law; as she felt the high-quality texture of the silk scarf, her eyes lit up, and she thanked her incessantly.

After the gifts were given, the smiles on Su Qing's parents' faces became more genuine, with less restraint and more heartfelt joy.

They invited Lei Jun and Lei Ying into the house while constantly thanking Lei Jun for taking care of Su Qing and Su Ya.

"Su Qing and Xiao Ya are in the Dragon Kingdom thanks to your care, Miss Lei. Every time they call home, they say you are exceptionally good to them," Su Qing's mother said, her eyes getting a bit moist.

Their family's conditions were average. In their eyes, it was a great stroke of luck that their two daughters could find such good jobs in the Dragon Kingdom and meet such a good boss.

Lei Jun sat down on the clean tatami mat and took the iced tea Su Qing handed her. Hearing this, she shook her head. "It's because they do their jobs very well. Su Qing is meticulous and thoughtful, and her cooking is great; Su Ya has strong professional abilities and keeps my place in perfect order. I am very satisfied."

Hearing Lei Jun personally praise their daughters, Su Qing's parents and brother were all so happy they couldn't stop smiling, their faces full of pride.

Especially Su Qing's father, who rubbed his hands and laughed simply, "They've been hardworking since they were at home. As long as they can help Miss Lei, that's good, that's good!"

After the simple pleasantries, Su Qing's parents busied themselves with arranging meals and accommodation.
