316: If I'm not having a good time, neither should you.
The surrounding crowd watched Nala throwing a tantrum and rolling on the ground, unable to suppress their laughter as they discussed the scene amongst themselves.
"Hahaha, she's actually throwing a fit! I've never seen such a shameless woman!"
"Losing and then blaming others—there's truly no justice! They were the ones who organized the game and insisted on betting so high, and now that they've lost, they're acting like hooligans!"
"Hmph, if you can't afford to lose, don't play! Forgotten how arrogant you were at the start? Throwing a tantrum won't help you now!"
"This is a real eye-opener; there are actually people this shameless in the world! I've truly learned something new today!"
"Hurry up and pull her up, don't let her pollute our eyes here! People like her shouldn't be given any face!"
Atapong watched Nala rolling on the ground, trembling with rage.
He rushed over, grabbed Nala's hand, and said angrily, "Get up! Stop embarrassing yourself here! Do you think you haven't caused enough of a scene already!"
Atapong felt extremely humiliated.
Nala shoved Atapong away and roared, "Get lost! You have the nerve to talk to me! If it weren't for a poser like you, would I have to look this pathetic? If you hadn't insisted on betting so much, would we have lost this badly?"
"Oh... my life is so miserable..."
As she spoke, Nala began throwing a tantrum and rolling around again.
Unexpectedly, a sudden shout erupted from the side: "Enough!"
The person speaking was none other than Nala's father-in-law, Songphong.
Songphong looked at Nala rolling on the ground, his heart filled with both anger and anxiety.
He knew that if Nala continued like this, it would only make things worse and bring more shame to their family.
"Nala, get up right now! The relatives are all watching! Don't make us a laughingstock!"
Songphong barked at Nala.
Nala remained slumped on the ground, refusing to get up, crying out, "I won't! Why should I get up! They want to steal my money, why should I get up! Oh, my life is truly miserable!"
Then, Nala began a barrage of complaints, shifting all the responsibility onto Atapong and Songphong.
"It's all your fault, Atapong! If you hadn't insisted on acting like a big shot and betting so much, would we be in this state today? All the money I worked so hard to save for years, and the online loans I took out—you've lost it all!"
"You're just a useless waste!"
"And you, Dad! You're no good either! When Atapong wanted to bet so much, why didn't you stop him? If you had stopped him, would we have lost like this? You just enabled him! You father and son are both useless! Both of you are good-for-nothing!"
She cursed Atapong and his father up and down, using the foulest language possible.
After her tirade, she began to wail again, "You're all bullying me! I'm just a weak woman, and so many of you are ganging up on me! You're all heartless! Can't you show some pity? How am I supposed to live now? My money is gone, and I'm buried in debt. I don't want to live anymore!"
Hearing her shameless remarks, Su Mei instantly grew furious, pointing at Nala's nose as she scolded her.
"Pity you? You don't deserve it! When Su Cha couldn't produce the money earlier, why didn't you pity him? Why didn't you think about how pitiful Su Cha was when you pushed him to a dead end? Now that you've lost, you want us to pity you? In your dreams!"
Su Mei felt that Nala was simply too shameless.
Back then, Atapong had forced Su Cha to gamble, and Nala had fanned the flames from the sidelines, driving Su Cha into a corner. Now that she had lost, she turned around to beg for pity—it was truly brazen.
The others were also extremely incensed, all pointing and shouting at Nala.
"You were the ones who pushed someone to the brink, and you're the ones refusing to pay up after losing! You're truly too shameless; have some self-respect!"
"Exactly! Given how you treated Su Cha before, you expect us to pity you now? No way!"
"Stop acting pitiful! We won't sympathize with you! Hand over the stakes quickly, or there will be consequences!"
"I've seen shameless, but never anyone this shameless! Today has been a real eye-opener!"
Nala's face flushed red from the group's scolding, and her own temper flared up.
She sat up abruptly from the ground and pointed at the crowd, saying angrily, "I don't give a damn about any of you! Unless you kill me today, don't even think about taking a single cent of this money!!!"
Hearing Nala's shameless words, Su Mei grew even angrier: "Unbelievable! In front of all these relatives, you're acting completely lawless! Today, we are absolutely settling this debt!"
Nala said disdainfully, "Stop your damn yapping! So what, playing cards isn't illegal! We just lost a card game, what right do you have to snatch my money?"
Playing cards was illegal? Hearing Nala's words, Su Mei was fuming as she pointed at her.
"You are truly shameless! You were the ones who encouraged everyone to play, you were the ones who said the stakes were small and let everyone bet five hundred, and you were the ones who put down money first! Now that you've lost, you want to use 'playing cards isn't illegal' as an excuse? You're too much!"
Nala pointed at Su Mei and snarled, "So what? I'm telling you, don't you dare push me! If you push me too far, I'll call the police!!! Then no one will have a good time! If I'm suffering, I'll make sure you all suffer too!"
Lei Jun was utterly speechless hearing Nala mention calling the police.
Nala was truly stupid beyond redemption.
Call the police?
This gambling session was organized by the couple themselves, and the stakes were set by them. If the police were actually called, they would be the first ones to face trouble.
The gambling funds would be confiscated, and they would likely face fines or detention.
Only someone as brainless as Nala could say something so self-destructive.
The surrounding crowd was amused by Nala's shameless threat to call the police, and they began whispering among themselves.
"No, seriously, how can someone be this shameless? She organized the game herself, and now she wants to call the police?"
"I don't get it, what good would calling the police do her? The police would just confiscate the gambling money, she wouldn't get a cent, and she might even be detained. Is there something wrong with her head?"
"Nala, have some shame! You organized the game, and you dare to threaten us? It's true what they say—it takes all kinds to make a world!"
"Go ahead and call them if you have the guts! We'll see if the police arrest us or you when they get here!"
"Hahaha, this is hilarious! To think of an excuse like calling the police just because you lost—truly shameless!"
Su Cha looked coldly at Atapong and Songphong, ignoring the tantrum-throwing Nala.
"Cousin? Second Uncle? Are you just going to cower there without saying a word? Your wife and daughter-in-law are here acting like hooligans and refusing to pay—are you not going to do anything? Or are you planning to back out on the debt too?"
