350: What is this?
Su Han and Bi Yao cautiously advanced through the mist, each step taken with extreme care, fearing they might disturb the unknown dangers lurking in this mysterious area.
The mist was like thick ink, enveloping them tightly, and their visibility was reduced to the extreme, barely able to see a few steps ahead.
"Su Han, I'm so scared."
Bi Yao's voice trembled as she clung tightly behind Su Han, her hands gripping his sleeve tightly, as if it were her only reliance in this unknown fear.
Su Han gently patted her hand, trying to convey some comfort, "Don't be afraid, I'm here."
But in reality, his own heart was full of unease; the unknown power contained within this mist made every nerve in his body taut.
As they went deeper, the putrid smell grew stronger, almost suffocating.
Su Han's brows furrowed into a ' river' shape, his gaze searching hard through the mist, trying to catch any possible clues.
Suddenly, he felt something strange under his feet, as if something was slightly wriggling.
Su Han instinctively stopped, looking warily at the ground.
Just then, a pale hand suddenly shot out from underground and grabbed Su Han's ankle.
"Ah!"
Bi Yao screamed in terror.
Su Han reacted quickly, immediately drawing his sword and slashing forcefully at the hand.
Accompanied by a sharp scream, the hand released Su Han's ankle and retracted.
Su Han pulled Bi Yao back a few steps quickly, his eyes fixed on the spot where the hand had appeared.
The ground began to bulge, and then a humanoid creature emitting a putrid stench crawled out from underground.
Its skin was a strange bluish-white, muscle tissue faintly visible, its eyes were empty and lifeless, and black liquid constantly flowed from its mouth.
"What is this thing?" Bi Yao asked in horror.
Su Han shook his head; he had never seen such a bizarre creature either.
The creature let out a low roar and pounced towards Su Han and Bi Yao.
Su Han brandished his sword and engaged in a fierce struggle with the creature.
Although the creature was slow, its strength was astonishing, each attack carrying a powerful impact.
Although Su Han's swordsmanship was sharp, his vision was extremely limited in the mist, making it difficult to find the creature's weak point for a time.
Bi Yao watched anxiously from the side, she looked around again, trying to find something that could help Su Han.
Suddenly, she noticed a large rock not far away, and an idea sparked in her mind.
She used all her strength and ran towards the rock.
Reaching the rock, she wrapped her arms around it and, with all her might, pushed the rock towards the creature bit by bit.
With Bi Yao's effort, the rock finally rolled towards the creature.
The creature was locked in a fierce battle with Su Han and did not notice the approaching rock.
With a 'bang', the rock hit the creature hard, knocking it to the ground.
Su Han seized the opportunity and thrust his sword into the creature's chest; black liquid gushed from the wound, and the creature struggled a few times before becoming still.
Su Han gasped for breath, put away his sword, and pulled Bi Yao to continue forward.
After the battle just now, they were both a bit tired, but the sense of urgency in their hearts had not diminished at all.
After walking for a while longer, the mist gradually thinned, and they saw what seemed to be an ancient building ahead. (End of chapter)
