533: Lu Xueqi (Ten)

After an unknown amount of time, the three finally found a temporary resting place.

Su Han sat down, leaning on his sword, his breathing heavy like a broken bellows.

The wound on his left arm was wreathed in black Qi, a bone-chilling cold accompanying the intense pain, constantly trying to invade his Meridians.

The knife wound under his right rib burned, and blood soaked his clothes.

But he merely quickly sealed the acupoints around the wound, barely stemming the blood flow, his gaze eagerly turning towards the white figure at the cave entrance.

Lu Xueqi leaned against the cold rock wall, her beautiful face completely drained of color, appearing almost transparent.

The tianya divine sword rested beside her, its glow somewhat dim.

Seeing Su Han look over, her long eyelashes trembled slightly. She tried to speak but was overcome by a suppressed cough, and a trickle of fresh red blood once again seeped from the corner of her lips, stark against her snow-white skin, a shocking sight.

“Your injuries…”

Su Han’s voice was hoarse from his heavy breathing. He suppressed his own pain and stepped forward, wanting to approach.

“I’m fine.”

Lu Xueqi’s voice was soft but carried an undeniable firmness. She shook her head slightly, signaling Su Han not to come closer.

Yet, this simple action seemed to cost her a lot of Qi, and her brows furrowed slightly from the churning Qi and blood within her body.

“Still fine! You’re like this!”

Bi Yao had already rushed to Su Han’s side, and without a word, she thrust an exquisite white jade porcelain bottle into his hand.

“This is a top-grade Medicinal Pill for wounds that Aunt You gave me. It has miraculous effects on both internal and external injuries, quickly take it!”

Her words were rapid, carrying an unquestionable tone.

Only then did she turn to Lu Xueqi, looking at her struggling appearance. She was anxious and angry, but also understood that now was not the time for argument.

She quickly took out another, slightly smaller, green jade bottle from her bosom and poured out a Dragon-eye-sized Medicinal Pill emitting a clear, medicinal fragrance.

“This is a ‘Heart-Cleansing Soul-Purifying Pill,’ good for suppressing internal injuries and regulating disordered True Qi.”

She handed the Medicinal Pill to Lu Xueqi, her tone still carrying a hint of her usual petulance, but the concern within it was genuine.

“Quickly eat it! Both of you are stubborn to the point of not caring about your lives!”

Lu Xueqi looked at the Medicinal Pill Bi Yao offered. The medicinal fragrance was refreshing, and she knew at first sniff that it was no ordinary item.

She hesitated slightly. Something from a demonic sect’s demoness, after all, was… However, the agonizing pain within her body and the precarious situation they were in did not allow her to be willful.

If she collapsed, she would only become a burden to Su Han.

Finally, she extended her slightly trembling hand, accepted the Medicinal Pill, and in a barely audible voice, said, “Thank you.”

Then she put the Medicinal Pill into her mouth.

The Medicinal Pill melted upon contact, and a gentle yet powerful warm current swiftly surged through her limbs, beginning to soothe the rampant pain and guiding the disordered Taiji Profound Clarity Dao Origin Qi to slowly return to its place.

She closed her eyes, fully concentrating on circulating her Qi to dissolve the medicinal power.

Su Han also took the medicinal powder Bi Yao gave him as instructed. He felt a warm current roll down his throat and disperse into his internal organs. The cold Qi from the wound on his left arm seemed to be somewhat suppressed, and the pain also slightly eased.

He dared not delay and immediately sat cross-legged, circulating the Taiji Profound Clarity Dao, fully dedicating himself to expelling the poison and healing his injuries.

Bi Yao guarded them, vigilantly watching their surroundings.

The mountain forest was silent, with only the rustling of wind through the leaves and a few faint wolf howls from afar.

The traces of the fierce battle earlier were scattered around the cave entrance: broken trees, scorched earth, and the gradually chilling corpse of the Shadow Fiend Leader, all testifying to the danger they had just faced.

She was filled with lingering fear. If Su Han’s gamble with that sword strike had been wrong… she dared not imagine the consequences.

Time passed bit by bit in the oppressive silence.

After about the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, Su Han was the first to open his eyes, exhaling a foul, bloody breath.

The black Qi at the wound on his left arm had faded by more than half. Although the wound was still gruesome, the corrosive cold power had been temporarily suppressed by the Taiji Profound Clarity Dao Origin Qi combined with the medicinal power.

He stood up and moved his left arm. It still hurt, but it no longer hindered his movement.

“How do you feel?”

Bi Yao immediately asked with concern.

“It’s fine now, this medicine is truly miraculous.”

Su Han looked at Bi Yao, his eyes filled with gratitude.

“We must leave immediately. The Shadow Assassins organization has strange methods, and there’s no guarantee they don’t have tracking techniques, or that more formidable characters won’t arrive soon after.”

He walked to Lu Xueqi’s side and softly called, “Junior Sister Lu?”

Lu Xueqi slowly opened her beautiful eyes. The light in them had recovered somewhat. Although her face was still pale, her breathing was much steadier.

She glanced at the simply bandaged wound on Su Han’s arm, which was still seeping blood, then looked at Bi Yao, and softly said, “I can walk now.”

As she spoke, she tried with effort to stand up, but due to her severe injuries, her body swayed slightly.

Su Han instinctively reached out and supported her arm.

Her skin was cold to the touch. Through the thin clothing, he could feel her physical weakness.

Lu Xueqi’s body stiffened, and she instinctively wanted to break free, but at that moment, she truly lacked the strength.

“Pardon me, Junior Sister Lu.”

Su Han said in a deep voice, his tone leaving no room for doubt.
