389: Falling into the abyss

Bi Yao took out the remaining half bottle of medicine from her bosom and carefully fed it to him.

Just then, a low chant echoed from the depths of the cave, a sound that seemed to come from ancient times, carrying endless Vicissitudes and evil.

Bi Yao stood up vigilantly, shielding Su Han behind her.

She could feel that the real crisis had just begun. The Armored Man had reappeared in the shadows at some point, his armor covered in cracks, and the star chart fragment in his hand had lost its luster.

But his eyes were still cold, revealing a chilling determination.

"You think destroying the core of the Lord of Chaos will end everything?"

His voice was full of mockery, "Too naive.

The great sword is the key to opening the true Seal, and now, it is about to fall into the Abyss, awakening the true horror that has slept for three thousand years."

Bi Yao clenched her fists, and the dark gold patterns on her arms lit up again:

"No matter what it is, we won't let you succeed!"

The Armored Man sneered, "Just with you? You don't even know who you are, and you talk about stopping?"

His gaze swept over Bi Yao and Su Han, "Three thousand years have passed, Reincarnation has begun again, you are just pieces on the board of fate."

Just as Bi Yao was about to retort, she suddenly felt a dizzying sensation.

She found her body floating uncontrollably, and the surrounding darkness began to twist and deform, turning into images that flashed before her eyes.

She saw an ancient battlefield, where countless warriors in armor fought against huge Monsters;

She saw a mysterious altar, where an old man embedded the star chart fragments one by one into a stone seat;

She also saw herself and Su Han, struggling desperately in a patch of darkness...

"This is..."

Bi Yao was horrified to find that these images seemed to have actually happened.

She turned to look at Su Han and found that he was also caught in the same illusion.

Bi Yao gritted her teeth and shouted loudly in the illusion, "Break for me!"

She focused her mind, trying to break the illusion.

The dark gold patterns on her body erupted with intense light, and she felt her strength continuously recovering.

Finally, Bi Yao broke through the illusion and returned to reality.

She saw Su Han still struggling in the illusion and immediately rushed over, holding his hand.

The dark gold patterns spread from their clasped hands to Su Han's body, helping him break free from the illusion's restraints.

After Su Han woke up, his eyes were full of confusion: "Just now was..."

"No time to explain,"

Bi Yao interrupted him, "We must stop the great sword from falling into the Abyss."

She pointed at the great sword that was slowly sinking, "That is the real key."

Su Han nodded, gripping his dagger.

Although his body was still very weak, his eyes rekindled with fighting spirit.

The two rushed towards the great sword, however, a barrier composed of black mist appeared before them, blocking their path.

The Armored Man reappeared behind the barrier: "You think you can pass so easily? How ridiculous.

In the face of the power of Chaos, your resistance is just a praying mantis trying to stop a chariot."

Bi Yao and Su Han exchanged glances and raised their weapons simultaneously.

The dark gold patterns on Bi Yao's palm pulsed violently like a living creature, and wisps of light flowed along the blade of the dagger, also dyeing the weapon in Su Han's hand a glassy color.

The shadows behind the Armored Man suddenly surged like waves, and countless phantoms emerged from the mist, warriors in the same attire as him.

The incomplete weapons in their hands emitted a cold, eerie blue light in the darkness.

"These are the vengeful soul Puppets of the Lord of Chaos."

Su Han's voice was hoarse, and the ice crystals condensed on his dagger fell rustling. He could feel the lingering medicinal power fighting against his weakness, and every breath felt like ice picks piercing his lungs.

Bi Yao held his wrist with a backhand, and dark gold light surged along his blood vessels, forming a shield-like pattern on Su Han's chest.

"Together."(End of this chapter)
