387: Lord of Chaos

"Stop talking."

Su Han gritted his teeth, took a medicine bottle from his waist, poured out a few pills, and popped them into his mouth.

"Let's deal with the current trouble first."

He could feel the medicine's power quickly spreading within his body, alleviating some of the pain, but his left shoulder was still unusable.

Just then, the Armored Man reappeared in the black mist, the star chart fragment in his hand shimmering with an eerie light, echoing the greatsword from afar.

"Do you think you can stop the cycle of fate?"

The Armored Man's voice was full of mockery, "Three thousand years ago, the Star Chart Guardians sealed the Lord of Chaos with their lives, but what was the result?

It only bought a brief period of peace.

Now, Chaos is about to awaken, and the entire world will be swallowed by darkness."

Bi Yao's eyes ignited with the flame of anger, "Even if it's like moths flying into a fire, we have to try!"

She raised her lightsword, pointing the tip directly at the Armored Man, "Who exactly are you? Why are you helping the Lord of Chaos?"

The Armored Man fell silent for a moment, a hint of hesitation seeming to flash in his eyes beneath the mask.

"Who I am isn't important,"

he finally said, "What's important is that you will never be able to understand the power of Chaos.

When darkness envelops the world, all resistance will be futile."

Before he finished speaking, the star chart fragment in the Armored Man's hand suddenly erupted with dazzling light, and countless dark purple lightning bolts shot out from the fragment, heading straight for Bi Yao and Su Han.

Bi Yao quickly used her lightsword to block in front of her, the lightsword colliding with the lightning, producing a deafening roar.

Su Han seized the opportunity to take out a few hidden weapons from his waist and shot them towards the Armored Man.

However, the Armored Man gently waved his hand, and those hidden weapons twisted and deformed in mid-air, turning into black mist and dissipating.

"A futile struggle."

he said coldly, "Now, it's time for you to witness the true power of Chaos."

As his voice fell, a massive figure slowly emerged from the darkness erupting from the greatsword.

That was a Monster composed of black mist and shattered stars; its body constantly changed form, sometimes turning into a giant octopus, sometimes transforming into a twisted giant.

Every time the Monster writhed, it caused space to distort, and the rocks on the cave wall floated up one after another, being absorbed into its body.

Bi Yao felt her heart almost stop; she had never seen such a terrifying existence.

"Is this... the Lord of Chaos?" she murmured to herself.

Su Han gripped his dagger tightly; although his heart was filled with fear, his eyes remained firm.

"No matter what it is, we cannot retreat."

"Do you remember the dying words on the cave wall? Although the Star Chart Guardians failed, their will remains.

As long as we don't give up, there is still hope."

Bi Yao took a deep breath, and the dark gold patterns on her body bloomed with an even more dazzling light.

"Alright, then let's fight with all our might and carve out a path to survival!"

She raised her lightsword and charged towards the Lord of Chaos, with Su Han following closely behind. Their figures in the darkness appeared so small, yet so resolute.

Deep within the cave, the gears of the mechanical device spun backward faster and faster, and the runes on the twelve remnants of stone pillars flickered with an eerie light.

The entire cave seemed to have turned into a giant cage, trapping Bi Yao and Su Han within. What awaited them were unknown challenges and even more terrifying darkness.

The battle grew increasingly fierce; Bi Yao's lightsword constantly clashed with the Lord of Chaos's tentacles, each attack leaving cracks in space.

Su Han, meanwhile, looked for an opportunity on the side, using his dagger to stab at the Monster's weak points.

However, the Lord of Chaos's body seemed to have no substance; their attacks often simply passed through its body, unable to cause substantial damage.

"This won't work!"

Bi Yao shouted, "We must find its core, otherwise we can't hurt it at all!"

Su Han looked around and suddenly noticed a sphere flickering with faint light in the center of the Lord of Chaos's body.

"It's there!"

he shouted, pointing at the sphere, "That might be its core!"
