459: Scarlet vertical pupil

Su Han was plummeting towards the charred inferno.

The world spun wildly in a dizzying, agonizing blur.

Darkness crept along the edges of his vision, as if the Void Realm had opened its maw to devour his last remaining remnants.

The horrifying wound on his side was like a purplish-black venomous fang embedded in his Soul, relentlessly gnawing at him.

The last vestiges of the thin energy that constituted his body, the golden flowing light that had once shone like the inner flame of a star, was being mercilessly stripped away, polluted, and dissolved.

Each faint flicker of light was accompanied by a violent spasm that reached the core of his Soul, as if his entire will had been cast into a searing furnace, yet also pierced by a billion icy needles, chilling him to the bone.

A heavy sensation of falling enveloped him, and the aftershocks of spatial tremors, like invisible giant whips, lashed fiercely at his ruined “human form,” accelerating his descent towards the molten death below.

Below, deep within the massive rift that had been “purified” by the incandescent white sphere of light from his final judgment, dark-red molten rock was rapidly cooling, its surface solidifying into a glass-like, smooth, and brittle charred crust, like the cold skin of a demon after its death.

The corrosive filth continued to spread. Purplish-black patterns climbed along his ethereal meridians, delving into his chest, each pulsation taking away more “life.”

He even heard faint sounds of corrosion, like greedy maggots writhing deep within decaying wood.

“Ugh…” A near-death groan tore through the silent vacuum, fragile as a wisp of dissipating smoke.

However, deep within that ruined body, a light as faint as a candle flame, yet incredibly tenacious, had not completely extinguished.

It was the core of his shattered Primordial Spirit, a half-spark of unyielding fire.

It pulsed weakly, burning futilely in the endless darkness and torrent of filth, emitting a silent roar.

This remaining will painstakingly focused a sliver of perception, like a spider’s silk in the wind, towards the direction of the headless giant demon’s corpse. That colossal dark mountain range lay across his vision; at its severed neck, the massive, smooth cut surface, scorched by the purifying white light, emanated a chilling aura of Law annihilation.

And just beneath this massive cut surface, deep within the shattered chest and abdomen where the corpse star’s vortex core once resided—a sudden anomaly occurred!

“Clang! ZING! ZING ZING!”

Like the wails of chains from the netherworld, broken for eons, a sudden explosion ripped through the air without warning!

Cold, rusted, carrying the unwilling roar of an ancient beast, it instantly pierced the vacuum, shaking the surrounding fine stellar dust into disintegration!

Several broken colossal chains, each link as thick as a star, now thrashed, twisted, and tensed like dying giant pythons!

On the dark, dull metal that formed the chain links, ancient, obscure runes, imbued with powerful binding force, flaked and disintegrated like weathered stone, emitting a teeth-grinding metallic groan.

The bindings… were disappearing!

A new, pure, and utterly greedy Origin power of filth, like a venomous Dragon suppressed for eons, suddenly opened its eyes!

Ohm…!

An invisible energy fluctuation violently reverberated, far surpassing the giant demon’s previous pressure!

It wasn’t an overwhelming aura of destruction, but a force of absorption condensed to the extreme, like an infinitely deep black hole! The core of filth, imprisoned deep within the decaying furnace, revealed its true form—a colossal, deformed, rotten star core, flowing with nauseating living turbid fluid, with a single crimson vertical pupil shining at its center!

That crimson vertical pupil suddenly opened!

Cold, chaotic, devoid of any emotion, only pure predatory instinct burned within!

Its gaze was directed precisely at the tiny, falling Su Han, who still carried a faint but “delicious” aura of judgment power!

The crimson vertical pupil on the star core suddenly lit up, as if the abyss had opened its greedy single eye!

A suffocatingly pure force of absorption, not a pulling like a strong wind, but one that acted directly upon space itself, as if an invisible giant maw had suddenly bitten down!

Su Han’s falling trajectory was forcibly twisted! (End of Chapter)
