447: Far older, more original, and more destructive than the previous three
The icy itch was like thousands of tiny venomous snakes, slithering through Su Han's veins, gnawing at the residual warmth.
Each heartbeat was as heavy as a drum, yet it seemed to provide nourishment to the invaders, spurring them to spread faster and deeper through his limbs and bones.
At the core of his chest, the empty vortex not only failed to subside but intensified its rotation, greedily devouring his last shred of essence, even seeming to tear the invading corrupt energy into itself, transforming it into its sustenance.
The battlefield within his body was chaotic, but the external dead silence appeared even more menacing.
The congealed black tide sludge covered the earth like a massive, hideous scar.
The viscous energy dripping from the broken edge of the obliquely inserted Giant Armored General's remains was like a dying sigh; each slow descent brought a dull "thud," chillingly clear in this absolute silence.
The wind, too, seemed to fear this vacuum, daring only to circle in the distance, the rustling of dust-laden withered leaves adding to the desolation.
However, corruption never lacked patience, nor was it ever merciful.
Just as Su Han knelt on one knee, struggling against the icy erosion within his body and the Soul-tearing weakness, deep within the cracked fissures of the congealed black tide beneath his feet, patches of dark, murky spots lit up without warning!
These spots were not light; they were more like some profound core of corruption instantly activated!
"Buzz—Rumble—!"
A roar far deeper than any previous general's roar, closer to the roar of the earth's pulse, suddenly erupted!
Centered around the obliquely inserted Giant Armored General's remains, the black tide sludge, already congealed like rock, suddenly collapsed inward and liquefied!
No… not liquefied, but transformed into a swirling, corrupt vortex flowing with countless points of despairing light!
An unimaginably terrifying existence was forcibly tearing space, drawing energy, and instantly coalescing into form from a deeper, more twisted abyss, using these remains and the congealed black tide as a medium!
In the center of the vortex, matter surged, stacked, and deformed wildly!
First, two colossal feet, thicker than the previous Giant Armored General's, covered in countless jagged, black-purple metallic crystal cluster barbs, broke out of the "mud," slamming heavily onto the cracked earth, making the ground beneath Su Han's feet wail!
Next was the massive upper body that obscured half the sky—it lacked the regular facets of the previous crystal general, instead presenting a primitive, grotesque rock-like form, as if forcibly pieced together from tens of thousands of otherworldly mountain rocks steeped in corruption!
Its surface flowed with dark currents of corruption; countless twisted faces flickered, wailed, and dissipated within the dark currents.
A ferocious head was raised high, devoid of eyes, with only a massive vertical slit opening in the center of its head, within which surged a boiling, lava-thick mass of corrupt energy.
Two shadowy wings, composed of pure dark corrupt energy and resembling rotting bat wings, silently unfurled behind it; each slight flap brought ripples in space and a suffocating stench of decay.
The Fourth!
An existence far older, more of the Origin, and more destructive than the previous three!
The moment it appeared, the vertical slit in its eyeless head sharply locked onto the tottering Su Han below!
No words were needed; an absolute will of destruction crashed down like a tangible tsunami!
Su Han's already severely injured body was like being struck by a ten-ton hammer, shaking violently again; the icy, itching erosion within him seemed ignited by this will, instantly transforming into countless red-hot steel needles piercing deep into his bone marrow!
"Aoo—Roar—!!"
An inhuman roar burst forth from the vertical slit, not air vibration, but a pure corrupt mental impact!
Space vibrated violently, and rings of black ripples instantly swept over Su Han!
Su Han felt his head about to explode, his consciousness a blank, with only frantic babbling and fragments of shattered light and shadow remaining.
Dark golden blood, viscous and cold, seeped from all seven orifices simultaneously!
He could not fall!
To fall was to eternal damnation! (End of Chapter)
