496: Stitches

“Aoo!!!”

The ghoul let out a short, ear-splitting shriek, and in less than half a second, it was incinerated into a wisp of smoke, vanishing completely.

This sudden turn of events halted the Undead’s charge!

The low-level Undead, driven by instinct, retreated in terror, filled with the most primal fear of the gray-white stillness and the golden-red flames.

Even the rampaging Bone Mammoth felt a fatal threat, stomping its hooves restlessly, not daring to advance easily.

However, the automatic counterattack of the Chaos Origin Power greatly increased Su Han’s physical burden. Even in his coma, he painfully furrowed his brows, his body twitching slightly, his face growing even paler, and his breath momentarily weakening.

This scene was noticed by several more cunning and powerful Undead.

It was a ‘Stitched Abomination’ hidden among the numerous Skeleton warriors. It was crudely pieced together from countless severed limbs, its body massive and bloated, dripping with putrid mucus, and at its core flickered several entangled evil Soul fires.

It sensed the immense and unstable power of Su Han, and also his weakened state.

“Grumble…”

The Stitched Abomination let out a muffled roar, then violently grabbed two smaller Skeleton warriors nearby, hurling them at Su Han like projectiles!

It tried to use cannon fodder to exhaust that terrifying power!

The Undead Mage’s expression changed drastically. He hastily commanded the Wraiths to intercept, while desperately summoning more Skeleton warriors.

The battle instantly escalated to a fever pitch!

Skeleton warriors clashed with the tide of low-level Undead, the sound of bones breaking and putrid roars incessant.

Wraiths weaved through the fray, constantly weakening powerful enemies, but they themselves were also being continuously depleted by the Undead’s attacks, becoming increasingly transparent.

The Undead Mage’s mana was rapidly depleting, and his face grew paler and paler.

And the Chaos power and Nirvana Golden Flame on Su Han’s body, after automatically annihilating several waves of cannon fodder, indeed began to flicker unsteadily, just as the Stitched Abomination had predicted, clearly unable to maintain this intensity of autonomous defense for long.

Seizing the opportunity, the Stitched Abomination let out a triumphant roar and lumbered forward, charging towards the broken wall! Its countless arms wildly flailed, reaching for Su Han!

A hint of despair flashed in the Undead Mage’s eyes; he had almost exhausted his mana!

Just at this critical moment—

“Buzz!”

Inside Su Han, the Chaos Origin Power, which had been slowly repairing his body, seemed to be completely enraged by this encroaching death threat!

Three forces—gray-white stillness, fiery-gold molten energy, and golden-red flames—began to react violently and undergo Fusion in an unprecedented manner!

It was not an orderly Fusion, but a chaotic intertwining, on the verge of explosion, extremely dangerous!

The next moment, centered on Su Han, an extremely unstable Chaos force field, about three meters in diameter, suddenly erupted!

Within the force field, the sight was incredibly terrifying!

Space itself seemed to warp! Some Undead instantly aged, weathered, and turned to dust;

Some, as if thrown into a furnace, had their bodies melt and vaporize, emitting piercing screams;

And still others seemed to be directly “erased” by an unseen force, leaving not even ashes behind!

The powerful Stitched Abomination, which had charged the fastest, had its dozen outstretched arms experience various terrifying forms of destruction the moment they touched the edge of the force field.

Some arms instantly withered and shattered, some directly melted and burned, while others simply vanished!

“Aoo!!!”

The Stitched Abomination let out an earth-shattering howl of pain, its massive body recoiling frantically as if electrocuted. At least half of its limbs were permanently destroyed by the terrifying Chaos force field, and its core Soul fire dimmed significantly, filled with extreme terror.

This small, unstable Chaos force field seemed to become an absolute death zone!

All Undead, regardless of strength, were so terrified by this incomprehensible horror that they retreated repeatedly, no longer daring to approach an inch, only able to surround him from a distance, watching the unconscious human at the center with greed and fear.

The Undead Mage stared at all this in astonishment, followed by even deeper reverence and fanaticism.

He immediately seized this precious time, swallowed several black mana-restoring potions, desperately summoned and reinforced the defensive line, while commanding the Wraiths and Skeleton warriors to clear out the Undead who dared not advance but still lingered nearby.

The battle, for now, entered a stalemate due to the spontaneous eruption of the Chaos Origin Power.

But everyone knew this stalemate was incredibly fragile.

Su Han’s condition was extremely poor, and that power was clearly out of control.

The number of Undead was still vast, and it was highly likely to attract even more terrifying existences.

On this scarred battlefield, the smoke of war had not yet dissipated. A new bloody slaughter had just concluded, and the air was filled with the stench of decaying Undead, the acrid smell of annihilated energy, and an unshakeable, dense aura of death.

The surviving warriors clutched their broken weapons, gazing at the unconscious figure shrouded by the terrifying force field and the surrounding sea of menacing Undead. The glimmer of hope that had just risen in their hearts was once again replaced by a heavy sense of crisis.

A brief, deadly silence heralded the countdown to the next, even more frantic assault. (End of Chapter)
