469: Death of the Ancestral Demon
“Even if I die, I’ll drag you down with me!”
The Ancestral Demon suddenly hurled the myriad tribulations reincarnation heart at Su Han, simultaneously detonating all of its remaining Origin.
It wanted the Reincarnation Heart to explode completely the moment it touched Su Han, allowing the power of Chaos and the power of Gui Xu to collide within his body. At that point, even Gui Xu itself wouldn't be able to preserve his Divine Soul.
Su Han gazed at the approaching dark heart, his eyes devoid of fear, filled only with tranquility.
He extended his left hand, and an imprint composed of nine light rings appeared in his palm. It was a brand new imprint he had created after the Fusion of his own Dao foundation and the power of Gui Xu—the “Nirvana Reincarnation Seal.”
The imprint and the myriad tribulations reincarnation heart met in mid-air. There was no earth-shattering explosion, only a silent transformation.
The dark heart began to turn transparent under the illumination of the imprint. The remaining Chaos power was being stripped away and purified little by little, eventually transforming into pure energy that merged into the Gui Xu Orbit.
As for the trapped remnant souls of civilizations, under the guidance of the imprint, they transformed into specks of starlight and flew out of the Star Core Space, returning to the embrace of the Universe’s Reincarnation.
The Ancestral Demon’s body had become riddled with holes under the erosion of the Nirvana runes. It could clearly feel its consciousness gradually dissipating.
The Chaos Law that originally supported its existence was being disintegrated by the power of Gui Xu, and even the most fundamental concept of “existence” was becoming blurred.
“No… I refuse to accept this!”
The Ancestral Demon let out its final roar. Its body suddenly began to shrink rapidly, transforming from a colossal being that blotted out the sky into a black orb no bigger than a fist.
This was its final struggle, an attempt to condense all its remaining will and leave a trace of Reincarnation opportunity before the power of Gui Xu completely assimilated it.
However, Su Han had already seen through its intentions. He pointed his fingers like a sword and lightly tapped the black orb.
A faint, pale line of light shot from his fingertip, instantly piercing through the orb's barrier and into its core. The orb trembled violently, with countless painful, twisted human faces continuously appearing on its surface—these were the resentments of the countless living beings the Ancestral Demon had devoured.
These resentments erupted under the stimulation of the pale light, beginning to madly backlash against the Ancestral Demon’s core will.
“Ah——”
A piercing shriek emanated from the orb, which then began to decompose little by little, turning into countless black wisps of smoke that, carried by the Gui Xu flow, completely dissipated within the Star Core Space.
“Su Han, just you wait, it’s not over yet, there will always be…”
As the Ancestral Demon uttered its last words, he completely perished.
The trembling of the Gui Xu Orbit gradually subsided, and the flowing pale light streams resumed their stable trajectories.
The light net in the Star Core Space slowly dissipated, revealing the clear and transparent starry sky beneath. The contaminated stars were gradually recovering their original luster.
Su Han slowly opened his eyes, the grayish-white light in them gradually fading, returning to their deep black color.
He looked down at his hands, which still bore a faint aura of Nirvana. The miniature Gui Xu within his body was operating smoothly, continuously providing pure power.
The Phoenix cry from deep within Gui Xu resonated once more, but this time it carried a joyful and celebratory meaning, as if congratulating him.
Su Han looked up towards the depths of Gui Xu, where a deeper portal was vaguely visible. From behind the portal came a heart-pounding aura, belonging to an existence even more ancient and terrifying than the Ancestral Demon.
“Finally…”
Although he said this, Su Han knew that this was not the end, but a new beginning.
The Ancestral Demon was merely the vanguard of Chaos; the true challenge still lay ahead.
But he was not afraid. Having experienced this battle, his mastery over the power of Gui Xu had reached a new Realm, sufficient to cope with any future challenges.
Su Han took a deep breath and turned to fly towards the Star Core. (End of Chapter)
