398: The Ancient Ferocious Beast Eclipse Abyss (IV)
The Abyssal Devourer roared furiously, opening its massive maw and biting towards Bi Yao.
In the nick of time, Su Han swung his sword, unleashing an ice-blue sword energy that struck the Abyssal Devourer's lower jaw.
The Abyssal Devourer cried out in pain and temporarily abandoned its attack on Bi Yao.
Bi Yao took the opportunity to land on the ground, her face as pale as paper, her golden flames now extremely weak.
Su Han also staggered to her side, both of their Spirit Energy reserves nearly depleted, each breath accompanied by piercing pain.
The Abyssal Devourer seemed to sense that the two were at the end of their rope, no longer rushing to attack, but slowly pacing around them, like a cat playing with a dying mouse.
Its crimson vertical pupils flickered with a mocking light, occasionally letting out a low growl that made their eardrums ache.
Bi Yao and Su Han leaned against each other, feeling the warmth of each other's bodies.
Their gazes were fixed on the Abyssal Devourer, without the slightest trace of fear in their hearts.
"No matter what, we can't give up," Bi Yao said softly.
Su Han nodded, "Even if we die, we'll drag it down with us!"
Just then, Bi Yao suddenly felt the light of the giant sword within her body flare up again, and a strange yet powerful force slowly surged into her Meridians.
This force was different from the previous ferocity; it carried a sense of steadiness and vastness.
Her eyes lit up slightly, and she turned to look at Su Han, finding that he seemed to have sensed something as well.
"This is..." Su Han said in surprise.
Bi Yao took a deep breath, feeling the force circulating within her body.
"Whatever it is, this might be our last chance!"
She gripped her dagger, and the golden flames blazed fiercely again, even more dazzling than before, the silver light emanating from the flames becoming increasingly obvious.
Su Han poured his Spirit Energy into the giant sword; the dragon silhouette on the sword let out a clear dragon roar, and the ice-blue light illuminated the entire battlefield.
The two simultaneously walked towards the Abyssal Devourer, their steps perhaps a bit unsteady, but incredibly resolute.
The Abyssal Devourer seemed to sense the change in the two; a hint of wariness flashed in its previously mocking eyes.
It spread its wings, let out a roar of fury, and prepared to launch its final attack.
Bi Yao and Su Han exchanged a look and simultaneously quickened their pace.
A true battle of life and death was about to begin.
Bi Yao channeled the mysterious force within her body; the golden flames behind her condensed into a massive fiery dragon, its body coiling and winding, emitting a scorching aura.
Su Han, on the other hand, gathered all his Spirit Energy onto the giant sword; the ice-blue sword energy surged several times over, and the dragon silhouette on the sword seemed to come alive, swimming and roaring in the air.
The Abyssal Devourer attacked first; it fiercely flapped its massive wings, and countless black hurricanes swept towards the two.
Wherever the hurricanes passed, deep, bottomless ravines were gouged into the ground, and trees were uprooted.
Bi Yao and Su Han simultaneously raised their weapons; the fiery dragon and the ice-blue sword energy met the black hurricanes.
The power of fire and ice collided in the air, erupting in dazzling light and a tremendous roar.
The black hurricanes gradually dissipated under the impact of the fiery dragon and the ice-blue sword energy, but the Abyssal Devourer's attack was not over.
It opened its massive maw, and a black beam of light containing destructive aura shot towards the two.
Bi Yao and Su Han quickly separated, dodging in different directions.
The black beam of light struck the ground, instantly blasting open a huge deep pit, the powerful impact turning everything around it to dust.
Bi Yao flipped in the air, and the fiery dragon pounced towards the Abyssal Devourer's head.
The Abyssal Devourer flapped its wings, scattering the fiery dragon, while its massive claws grabbed towards Bi Yao.
Su Han took the opportunity to swing his sword and slash at the Abyssal Devourer's tail; the ice-blue sword energy struck the Abyssal Devourer's scales, sending sparks flying.
The Abyssal Devourer cried out in pain, turned around furiously, and sprayed a mouth full of black poisonous mist towards Su Han. (End of Chapter)
