552: Lu Xueqi (29)
"It's the Black Robed Man again!"
Bi Yao frowned.
"What exactly do they want?"
Lu Xueqi said coolly, "They got a head start. They must be after something."
Su Han nodded.
"The most urgent task is to find a Spirit Seeking Compass.
If we can track that Spirit Boat, we might reach Liubo Mountain faster and also figure out the Black Robed Man's objective."
"Should we go to the Black Market now?" Bi Yao asked.
"Yes." Su Han glanced at the sky, which was gradually darkening. "The Black Market at night is more 'lively'."
The Black Market of Black Water Port was located in a series of caves at the deepest part of the port.
The entrance was hidden and guarded by special personnel.
After paying a hefty "entrance fee," the three entered.
The interior of the cave was vast, divided into several levels.
It was brightly lit and bustling with people, even more chaotic than outside.
All sorts of stalls were haphazardly arranged, selling goods of unknown origin.
From weapons and medicinal herbs to Cultivation Techniques and Secret Manuals, and even Sealed Yao Beasts, everything was available.
The shouts of vendors and the sounds of haggling were endless.
The air was filled with a stronger scent of blood and an eerie aura.
Su Han and the other two concealed their Qi, moving discreetly, searching for stalls that might sell compass-type Magical Artifacts.
Their appearance still attracted many gazes.
However, those who could enter the Black Market usually had some discernment.
Although they coveted the beauty of the two women, feeling the faint oppressive aura from Su Han, and the fact that Lu Xueqi and Bi Yao were clearly not weak women, no one dared to provoke them easily for the time being.
Soon, they stopped in front of a stall in a corner.
The stall owner was a thin old man, resting with his eyes closed.
Various peculiar Magical Artifacts were displayed on the stall, including several ancient-looking compasses.
Su Han's gaze swept over them, landing on a compass covered in verdigris, but whose central pointer faintly glowed with spiritual light.
"Elder, how much for this item?" Su Han picked up the compass.
The old man opened his eyes, his cloudy gaze sweeping over Su Han, then glancing at the two women behind him.
He said hoarsely, "One thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stones."
Bi Yao's eyes widened. "One thousand Spirit Stones for this broken compass? Why don't you just rob us?"
The old man snorted. "Buy it if you want, or get lost if you don't.
This 'Star-Fixing Compass' of mine is an ancient relic, capable of fixing directions and discerning good and bad fortune.
How can it be an ordinary item?"
Su Han injected a wisp of True Qi.
The compass pointer trembled slightly, but the spiritual light was scattered, indicating that the internal Formation was damaged.
"The Core Formation of this compass is seven or eight tenths damaged.
It's likely difficult to be of great use," Su Han said indifferently.
A hint of surprise flashed in the old man's eyes.
He hadn't expected Su Han to see through its condition at a glance.
"If that's the case, Young Master can look elsewhere," the old man said coldly.
Su Han put down the compass, about to leave, when suddenly, a sharp voice came from beside him.
"Oh, this compass is good. This Young Master wants it!"
Situ Ming, fanning himself with a folding fan, walked over with a group of guards.
He glanced at Su Han smugly, then directly threw a bag to the old man.
"Here are a thousand Spirit Stones. This Young Master wants the compass."
The old man took the bag, didn't even look at it, and put it away directly.
Then he handed the compass to Situ Ming.
"This Young Master has good taste."
Situ Ming picked up the compass and, as if showing off, waved it in front of Su Han.
"Kid, if you don't have money, don't come to the Black Market to make a fool of yourself.
The good things in Black Water Port aren't something a pauper like you can afford."
Bi Yao was so angry she wanted to act, but Su Han stopped her with a look.
Su Han looked at Situ Ming as if he were a clown.
"If Young Master Situ likes it, then take it."
After speaking, he turned to leave.
He didn't want to cause any extra trouble.
This wasn't the only place to find a Spirit Seeking Compass.
"Stop!" Situ Ming, however, wouldn't let it go.
"Did this Young Master tell you to leave?"
He gave a look, and the guards immediately surrounded Su Han and the two women.
Other people in the Black Market, seeing this, quickly moved away, showing expressions of watching a good show.
"It's the Young Master of the Black Water Gang."
"Those three outsiders are in for trouble."
"Tsk tsk, what a pity for the two beauties."
Su Han stopped, slowly turned around, his eyes calm and unmoving.
"Young Master Situ, what do you intend?"
Situ Ming pointed his folding fan at Su Han. "Kid, you got lucky outside the shipyard.
Now there's no Old Man Jin protecting you."
"I'll give you two choices."
"One, kneel and kowtow three times to this Young Master, then leave these two young women behind and get lost yourself."
"Two, this Young Master will break your legs, then take these two young women away."
His lewd gaze swept over Lu Xueqi and Bi Yao.
"You seem very confident," Su Han's tone remained flat.
"In this Black Water Port, my Black Water Gang is the law!" Situ Ming said arrogantly.
"Go! Break his legs!"
The guards rushed forward with sneers, each skilled and at least at the Foundation Establishment Stage of cultivation.
Two of the leaders had even reached the Early Stage of Core Formation.
Clearly, the Black Water Gang did have some strength to dominate this place.
However, they were facing Su Han.
Just as the guards were about to get close, Su Han moved.
He didn't draw his sword; he merely flicked his sleeve.
A vast, sea-like True Essence surged out, like an invisible giant wave, crashing into the guards.
Bang, bang, bang!
A series of muffled thuds.
Seven or eight guards flew backward even faster than they came, knocking over several stalls, spitting blood, and collapsing to the ground, unconscious.
Only the two Core Formation Early Stage leaders barely managed to stand firm, but their faces were pale, and their eyes were filled with horror.
They hadn't even seen how the other party had attacked.
Situ Ming's smile froze on his face.
His folding fan fell to the ground with a "clatter."
He looked at Su Han in disbelief. "You... you..."
Su Han walked step by step towards Situ Ming, his pace not fast, yet it felt like he was stepping on Situ Ming's heartbeat.
"You... don't come over here!" Situ Ming retreated in terror.
"My father is the Black Water Gang Leader! He's a Nascent Soul Cultivator! If you dare touch me, my father won't let you off!"
"Nascent Soul Cultivator?" Su Han's steps didn't stop. "Let him come then."
Before he finished speaking, he had already appeared in front of Situ Ming, reached out, and grabbed the finger Situ Ming was pointing at him.
He gently bent it.
Crack!
The crisp sound of bone breaking was particularly piercing in the Black Market.
"Ah!" Situ Ming let out a pig-like scream, collapsing to the ground in pain. "My hand!"
Su Han looked down at him as if looking down at an ant.
"Breaking one of your fingers is a slight punishment."
"If you dare to pester us again, next time it will be your neck."
