138: Shameless

Time chuckled, then pointed at Jason, who was lying on the ground like a dead dog, and promised:

"If you can pick up an Extraordinary Item right now, then I will help you send this annoying brute away."

"Can't you help me kill him?" Locke Galahad was very vengeful and wanted to change the condition.

Time shook his head: "That won't do. Regarding you young people's affairs, for an old man like me to have gone this far is already a bit overstepping. If I were to kill him, it would truly violate the principles of the Supernatural World."

"Oh, I see." After hearing this, Locke Galahad nodded with a meaningful smile: "I understand."

"Ahem, enough of that. Either demonstrate right now how you 'picked it up,' or give the mask back to him, and I will send him away. I assume he won't come looking for you then."

"Watch closely, I'll perform it for you right now."

After Locke Galahad finished speaking, Time turned his gaze toward him, wanting to see how he would conjure something out of thin air.

However, to his astonishment, Locke Galahad rushed to Jason's side at lightning speed and snatched the machete and axe that he was still clutching.

"Arghhh!" Jason could not speak; he could only lie on the ground and wail loudly to express his dissatisfaction.

Locke Galahad turned back and smiled at him: "I'm just borrowing them, don't be anxious, I'll return them to you after a while."

Having said that, he rushed in front of Time clutching the two weapons that carried an aura of the Extraordinary, holding them up and shaking them.

"Is this what you meant by... picked up on the side of the road!" Time found it hard to believe that a person could be so shameless.

Locke Galahad spread his hands without blushing or skipping a beat, and pointed to the ground: "This is the side of the road, no problem there, right?"

After saying this, he continued by pointing at Jason, who was lying on the ground: "And this... was just picked up from him."

"You clearly snatched them from his hands; how can that count as picking them up?" Time turned his head away in anger, feeling that he was truly too much of a rascal.

"Hey." Locke Galahad quickly put on a smile, ran in front of him, and said with a grin: "When I took them just now, he didn't object, doesn't that prove that this brute didn't want them? Since he didn't want them, can't it be said that I picked them up? That makes perfect sense, right?"

"I..." When Time heard this, it did indeed seem like that was the case, but if one thought about it carefully, it was full of holes.

After all, the brute on the ground couldn't speak at all, just like a mute, so how could he voice any objections?

Seeing this, Locke Galahad's expression changed; his eyebrows drooped, and the corners of his mouth turned down: "Hey, Mr. Time, you aren't going back on your word, are you!"

"But for a senior like you, even if you do go back on your word, I have no complaints."

"At worst, when I make a sacrifice to the Goddess of the Night, I will have a good chat with Her about this matter."

While speaking, he secretly glanced at Time from the corner of his eye, but just as he looked over, he was caught red-handed by Time, so he quickly turned his head away again and continued muttering endlessly.

"Just now I wanted to return the mask, but no matter how I threw it, I couldn't get rid of it, and instead, I angered the other party. My strength is low, and I don't know the reason. I would like to ask the Goddess to help me take a good look at who is playing tricks behind the scenes..."

When saying this, he turned his head again, secretly looking at Time.

Hearing Locke Galahad's words, which were not a threat but were better than a threat, Time was so angry that he pursed his lips, closed his eyes, and took a few seconds to calm down before saying: "Fine, fine, you win."

"Then I'll trouble you, Mr. Time." Upon hearing this, Locke Galahad immediately beamed, cupped his hands together, and bowed to Time.

Time did not act immediately but scanned the two Extraordinary weapons held in his hands with his eyes.

And this made Locke Galahad hold them even tighter.

"Mr. Time, surely you don't have your eyes on even these low-level Extraordinary weapons, do you?"

Time did not speak, just stared at him expressionlessly. Locke Galahad, feeling a bit guilty, handed out the axe: "But then again, finders keepers, I can share one with you."

Time still did not speak but tilted his head slightly to signal something.

Locke Galahad pretended not to understand: "Mr. Time, what do you mean by this? Could it be that you want me to seek an oracle from the Goddess..."

"Stop!"

Time could no longer hold back; his palms, hidden beneath his wide wizard robes, involuntarily clenched into fists. After taking two deep breaths, he then explained: "Give those two pieces of junk back to him. Those are someone else's life-bound weapons; you can't use them. Holding them in your hands will only bring you a lot of trouble. If you continue to be greedy, I might be able to save you this Time, but do you think I can save you the next Time?"

"You mean these two weapons can only be used by him?"

Time nodded.

Locke Galahad didn't quite believe it, so he mobilized his own Extraordinary Factor, wanting to attach it to the two weapons, but it couldn't penetrate them at all.

Although he couldn't use them, Locke Galahad still wasn't willing to give up: "Even though I can't use them, surely others can't use them either? I can just sell them at the Secret Cult, that should be fine, right?"

Seeing that he still wouldn't give up, Time patiently explained again.

"The key is not whether they can be used or not, but that these two things are different from the mask. They are hot potatoes, blessed by certain mysterious existences; holding them will only bring you misfortune. If you trade them to someone else, you will only harm them."

"Then I can just throw them away, right?"

Locke Galahad, acting on the thought that if he couldn't use them, he might as well ensure Jason couldn't either, continued: "Since I can't use them, he shouldn't think about using them either. Throwing them away might even weaken him."

"Even if you throw them away and sink them to the bottom of the sea, he will be able to find them by following their aura. You might as well just give them back to him now."

Time was completely helpless.

He completely could not understand how Locke Galahad's brain worked.

If it were anyone else who had stepped onto the extraordinary path, hearing him say that the items had been blessed by mysterious existences would probably have terrified them into dropping them on the ground immediately.

"I don't care about all that, let him go find them then."

Saying this, Locke Galahad carried the two Extraordinary weapons to the window, completely ignoring Jason's murderous glare, and with a wave of his hand, threw the machete and axe into the sea.

After two seconds, only two splashes were heard, followed by water spraying everywhere.

After confirming that these two filthy things had sunk to the bottom of the sea, Locke Galahad walked back to Time and glared fiercely at Jason: "Please, Mr. Time, send this guy away."

Just as Time was about to act, he added another sentence: "By the way, it would be best to send him to the place farthest from here. Even if he can find those two murder weapons, I want to waste some of his Time."
