87: plan

Locke Galahad sat above, one hand propping up his face, leaning lazily against the chair.

Facing the oaths of all the Vampires, he felt little fluctuation in his heart, because to be honest, if it weren't for completing the main quest [Underworld], he actually didn't want to accept this mess of a Vampire Clan.

But since he had taken it over, he had some plans.

At the very least, in the future, he could dispatch these long-lived Vampires, whose strength was quite decent compared to ordinary people, to help him scout for news of potential supernatural events in America.

Relying solely on himself to gather this information would be a bit difficult.

After that, he could filter and select the horror stories he was familiar with, and then proceed with targeted strategies in a planned manner.

Otherwise, just blindly waiting for the system to trigger tasks would make the controllability too low.

And it would be too lacking in guarantees.

That would inevitably affect his growth plan, and his growth speed would be affected as well.

Although he possessed the system, Locke Galahad was very clear about his own positioning and was not blindly confident due to his current surge in strength.

"Lord Locke Galahad, may we send people to clean them up first?"

While he was thinking, the people under Emilia immediately began to pledge their loyalty to him.

Before he could agree, the old guys from the Serena faction also followed up and spoke:

"Lord Locke Galahad, why not leave this corpse disposal ceremony to us?"

This group of people were all shrewd; they knew it was time to curry favor with him.

Although disposing of corpses was not a difficult task, it was a good opportunity to show loyalty.

Everyone knew that in the future, the Vampire Clan would likely be run by Locke Galahad alone; if they wanted to continue surviving in the Vampire Clan, they would have to listen to Locke Galahad.

This also meant that whoever had a good relationship with Locke Galahad and could gain more of his trust would likely have the advantage in the power structure of the rebuilt Vampire Clan.

Watching the few of them showing signs of competing, Locke Galahad waved his hand casually:

"Suit yourselves; these are all minor matters. Whoever wants to handle it, go ahead."

After he finished speaking, the people from both sides scrambled and rushed to the side of the fallen Vampire corpses, each vying to be first, afraid that they wouldn't get a corpse and would be unable to show off in front of Locke Galahad.

"I know you all want to show off now, but don't worry, you'll have your chance soon."

While they were in the heat of it, Locke Galahad slowly stood up and then instructed:

"For everyone in the Marcus Faction, anyone who is unwilling to submit is to be executed without mercy. I will leave this matter for you old guys to handle."

"Can you do it?"

Those old guys immediately knelt on the ground, lowered their heads, and placed one hand on their chests.

"We will never let you down, Lord Locke Galahad. You can rest assured and leave it to us; not a single person will escape from our hands."

"Alright, go. You must be fast; do not give them time to react."

Locke Galahad nodded, then waved his hand very casually, giving his final instructions.

After he finished speaking, those old guys led their respective subordinates out of the conference room.

Once out the door, they ran faster than each other, fearing they wouldn't get any kills.

However, the two leading Vampires were basically similar in strength, so their speeds were about the same.

"Eric, you old immortal, Lord Locke Galahad is the master of our Elder Emilia, he is the supreme superior of our faction. On what grounds do you have the guts to compete with us for this task?"

"Who cares about that."

The old man called Eric did not yield in the slightest, then raised his chin with a haughty look and said:

"If that's the case, Leodro, you old thing, you should be calling our Lady Selene 'Mistress'."

"Tch, it's obvious that there's nothing between your Lady Selene and Lord Locke Galahad yet, and you dare to say that?"

The white-bearded bald Vampire Leodro naturally refused to lose out: "Besides, my Lady Emilia might have already been with Lord Locke Galahad for a long time; how could it be the turn of your little girl Selene to butt in?"

"Say that again!"

"So what if I say it? You will definitely not be able to outcompete me for the heads of the Marcus Faction today."

"Then let's wait and see whose methods are more clever."

Leodro and Eric, two old men who didn't know how many years they had lived, were shouldering each other in the corridor, neither willing to give way.

The two old men were like children competing with each other, both secretly exerting effort.

And the group of Vampires behind them, seeing the big bosses competing with each other, had no choice but to glare fiercely at the other side and follow suit, competing with each other as well.

Regarding this mission to purge the Vampires of the Marcus and Kraven factions, they were actually not too worried.

After all, except for Marcus, the pillars of the opposing factions had all been easily killed by Locke Galahad in the conference room just now.

Otherwise, even with Locke Galahad backing them, they wouldn't be this proactive, let alone competing with each other.

As a large group of people left, only Locke Galahad, the three women including Emilia, and the blood-stained carpet remained in the originally noisy conference room.

"Locke Galahad, was that guy Victor really killed by you?"

After the crowd left, Selene immediately became intimate again, stepped forward, grabbed Locke Galahad's hands tightly, and looked into his eyes to ask the question she cared about most.

"That is only natural."

Locke Galahad laughed when he saw her like this and gently patted Selene's head:

"Although there were some twists and turns in the middle, in order to avenge you, it was absolutely impossible for me to let him get away."

"Mm-hmm."

Selene wore a smile on her face, just listening.

"Let me tell you, it all happened in the blink of an eye. I didn't expect this old guy to still have some tricks up his sleeve, but fortunately, I was more skilled. In the end, I sliced his head in half with one sword, not even leaving his corpse behind."

"Even the corpse is gone!"

Selene's pupils dilated involuntarily, and her originally crystal-clear eyes were suddenly filled with a layer of mist.

Locke Galahad didn't care about the gazes of Erica and Emilia, and gently raised his hand to pull her into his arms.

"Mhm, his corpse's entire essence condensed into this crystal."

As he spoke, he took out the red supernatural polymer he obtained from Victor and held it up in front of Selene.

"If you feel that it's not enough to vent your hatred, I can tell you the location of his remaining flesh, and I can even give you this crystal as well."

"No need, I have no use for this."

The moment Selene saw the crystal, the emotion of having her great vengeance finally avenged surged into her heart. She pursed her lips, shook her head, and then grabbed the clothes on his chest and just started crying.

"Locke Galahad, thank you, really thank you. If it weren't for you, I might have been deceived by him for the rest of my life, let alone avenge my parents..."

Selene buried her head against his chest, her shoulders even twitching slightly; it was obvious she was crying very sadly.

Seeing this, Locke Galahad couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache, but all he could do was hold her tightly in his arms and gently pat Selene's back as if coaxing a baby,

"It's okay, it's okay, everything is already in the past."

Emilia and Erica, who were on the side, saw this and understood the meaning, so they very tactfully left the conference room together, leaving this space for Locke Galahad and Selene.
