30: Take lightly

Kruto gave a disdainful laugh and didn't speak again, completely disdaining to pay him any mind.

"No, no, no. Wrong answer."

Locke had already reloaded his weapon. Carrying his revolver, he walked up slowly while shaking his head, his cold gaze fixed on the bewildered Claube:

Taiwan Novel Website is great for entertainment, super practical.

"Actually, he and I are partners, so how could they possibly listen to you and shoot me?"

"Impossible, this is absolutely impossible."

Claube was so overwhelmed by this explosive news that he was at a loss, shaking his head frantically, completely unwilling to accept reality.

He then turned his gaze toward Kruto, seeking confirmation.

Kruto curled his lip but nodded in agreement: "He has a cooperative relationship with my boss, and I am following his lead for this mission."

Mainly because, at a time like this, it was impossible for him to undermine Locke.

"How could this be? How could this be..."

Claube's eyes were completely unfocused, and even his voice lost its strength. His head slumped, and he muttered to himself:

"Aren't you working with our Lord Kraven?"

Kruto couldn't be bothered to answer this question; he didn't even want to look at him again.

After all, in the eyes of the werewolves, Kraven was nothing.

If it weren't for the fact that he was willing to provide information about the Vampire Clan to the werewolves in order to survive against Lucien back then, he would have been killed long ago.

As for cooperation, ever since Locke appeared, Lucien had no intention of working with Kraven again.

"I tell you, there is nothing impossible in this world. I knew about your plan long ago."

Locke stepped forward, reached out, and gently patted his face, speaking unhurriedly:

"Hmph, otherwise, did you think I wouldn't see through such an obvious plan and just come along to die for nothing?"

"You knew all along!"

Claube was in complete despair.

Only now did he realize that the man he had regarded as prey was actually the one hiding the deepest.

Locke not only crushed them in strength but also in intellect; this was what made him despair the most.

Therefore, he gave up the idea of escaping and chose to close his eyes and accept death.

Because at this moment, he didn't even have the courage to resist.

With a large group of werewolves surrounding him and Locke, a person of extraordinary strength, present, his probability of escape was zero.

So, it was better to just die quickly right here.

Locke didn't care what he was doing; he just went about doing what he wanted to do.

Under everyone's gaze, he raised his hand, pried open Claube's mouth, and then ripped his tongue out by the roots.

Thud.

Claube's bright red tongue was casually thrown to the ground:

"This is your punishment for offending Serena."

"Mmm, mmm, mmm..." Claube wanted to say something, but he could no longer speak. He subconsciously raised his hands to resist, but to his surprise, the next second, Locke pulled out a silver dagger with his left hand and slashed at him fiercely.

A flash of silver light passed.

Bright red blood splattered.

Kruto and Emilia and the others subconsciously closed their eyes.

When they opened them again, they found that, besides the four headless corpses lying on the ground, there were two arms severed at the roots, and the fingers on one of the hands were still twitching.

The once incredibly arrogant Claube had now been reduced to a human trunk by Locke.

Upon seeing this, Emilia and the others couldn't help but smile, feeling a great sense of relief.

Emilia looked at the cold and ruthless Locke, her heart pounding uncontrollably: "What is this..."

Although Locke didn't step in to play the hero saving the damsel, in terms of results, he had saved them.

As for Claube, the successive severe injuries made him instinctively want to roar, but he couldn't even make a sound.

In the end, he could only make "woo-woo-woo" sounds.

He felt regret in his heart, regretting his earlier verbal abuse of Serena.

Claube looked at Locke with pleading eyes, looking somewhat pitiful, tears streaming down from the corners of his eyes.

The intense pain made him want Locke to kill him as soon as possible; living was simply more painful than dying for him.

Locke put away the dagger, his expression unchanged, still cold and icy. His eyes showed no fluctuation; even when facing Claube's desperate pleas, he remained indifferent.

"Some people always think about seeking forgiveness after making a mistake, but how can such a good thing exist in this world?"

Although he could have waited until morning to throw Claube out into the sun to burn to death, he ultimately gave up that plan.

Mainly because after finishing all this, the anger in his heart had dissipated by more than half, and there was no need to go through the trouble.

So, in the end, he raised his hand and shoved the barrel of the revolver directly into the other man's mouth, and the next second, he pulled the trigger.

Bang! The gunshot broke the silence of the scene.

The silver bullet passed through his skull, and a bowl-sized hole appeared on the back of Claube's head.

The five people who had previously dreamed of becoming elders and ruling the Vampire Clan had all been sent to hell by Locke.

Following the deaths of Claube and his group of five, a notification of mission completion appeared before Locke's eyes.

[Ding, side mission completed, rewards are being drawn]

Then, a gift box identical to the previous reward appeared in front of Locke.

Considering the current situation, Locke did not rush to open the box to check the rewards.

On the side, although Kruto had psychological expectations, he was still shocked speechless by Locke's marksmanship and lightning-fast slashes.

"When did his marksmanship become so good? It's sharp and fast. Not only that, when did a doctor like him learn to use a knife?"

Originally, he had planned to have a good sparring match with Locke to wash away the humiliation of being hit multiple times, but now it seemed that if he were to compare marksmanship, it would be somewhat overestimating his own abilities.

He couldn't react at all to the speed at which Locke fired.

Looking up at the indifferent Locke, Kruto shook his head unconsciously and thought to himself:

"What a monster. It's only been a few days, and his strength has grown by such a large margin."

As for the remaining werewolves, it goes without saying; watching Locke, they couldn't help but swallow their saliva, their eyes filled with admiration.

"Holy shit! This is what the boss said a warrior should look like!"

"This marksmanship is enough for me to learn for a lifetime."

"Solving 4 elite Vampires in the blink of an eye, how dazzling."

"Too exaggerated."

Even Kruto and the werewolves behind him felt a sense of relief in their hearts, relieved that Locke was not their opponent but a partner.

Otherwise, it would be them lying on the ground right now.

No, worse, they might have all been slaughtered clean back at the hospital that day.

As for the four people in the weakest position present, Emilia and the others, they didn't even dare to breathe loudly.

The current situation was completely beyond what they could have anticipated.

Alek, who had relatively little experience, looked at Locke's back with eyes full of longing: "When can I become as strong as this lord?"

Another female Vampire dressed as a noble looked at Locke with eyes full of admiration: "If only I could find a male Vampire like him to be my partner."
