61: My name is Locke

The person asking the question was none other than the old Vampire who had stood up earlier. At this moment, he bent down and approached Locke, asking with a respectful expression:

"Do you need us to help you dispose of these two corpses?"

"Hmm..." Locke mused. After lifting his eyes, he calmly examined the old Vampire for a moment: "What is your name?"

The gray-haired Bledsoe's expression brightened upon hearing this, and he immediately knelt on one knee: "Reporting to my Lord, this subordinate is named Bledsoe."

The reason he appeared so pleasantly surprised was that he had previously been an unappreciated figure within the Vampire Clan. Now that he had luckily gained the appreciation of a big figure like Locke, he was naturally very happy.

"Not bad." Locke nodded calmly, committing the old man's name to memory: "However, remember, do not call me Lord Michael in the future. Please address me as Lord Locke, Locke of the Locke Galahad."

"As you command."

Locke waved his hand and then said: "Leave Kraven's corpse here. As for that other one who had no eyes, you can handle it as you see fit."

"Yes."

Having received Locke's affirmation, Bledsoe moved very quickly and immediately waved to the group of Vampires behind him.

Then, a few who were still somewhat sensible came forward and cleaned up the blood on the ground, along with the corpse and the head.

The remaining Vampires, with fearful gazes, looked at him very carefully and asked: "Then, Lord Locke, what about us? Can we leave now?"

Because they had not received Locke's order, they could only stand in place, not daring to leave without permission.

Having barely escaped a disaster, they did not want to lose their lives due to a momentary oversight.

There was no help for it; the pressure Locke brought upon them was simply too great, to the point that even after stabbing Kraven, they still felt lingering fear.

Locke glanced at them indifferently and finally added a warning: "I suspect that some of you might still not have given up. But that's fine. If you dare to act, just make sure you are not discovered by those around you or by me."

"Otherwise, when the time comes, I won't be able to let you off as easily as I did today."

Among the Vampires, each had a different expression, but after hearing these words, those who originally had ulterior motives had to suppress them.

The large group of Vampires stood stunned in place. After a long silence, they finally managed to squeeze out a sentence: "Lord Locke, we have taken your warning to heart."

After saying this, Locke did not speak again; he just calmly waved his hand at them.

Upon seeing this, the group of Vampires let out a sigh of relief, as if relieved of a heavy burden. With expressions of survivors, they fled Selene's room like birds and beasts encountering a fierce tiger.

In just a few seconds, the room that had originally been crowded suddenly became empty again, leaving only the three of them—Locke and the others.

As for these people, Locke did not care at all how many would go to report the news or how many would help him supervise.

The reason he said that was simply to make those who wanted to report the news go a little later.

Because a little later, he would be preparing to take action against Victor.

By the time those suspicious Vampires arrived, they would see him in Elder Victor's secret chamber. Presumably, their expressions at that time would be very interesting.

Thinking of this, Locke couldn't help but curl the corners of his mouth slightly.

To be honest, he was quite curious about how many of these people would dare to report the news, because he really wanted to see how many people, after witnessing his strength, would still dare to commit such a suicidal act.

Selene and Erica, who were on the side, could not help but show expressions of astonishment on their faces after hearing him tell his real name to Bledsoe.

Clearly, they had never thought that Michael was actually a fake name.

Especially Selene. She had originally found the information about the Michael that Locke was impersonating through a photo, which led her to the clinic. Therefore, she had been deeply convinced that Locke was called Michael.

Therefore, upon hearing Locke say that he was named Locke Galahad and not Michael, she suddenly became a bit dazed, and even her tone of voice could not help but carry a hint of surprise: "Aren't you... called Michael?"

Locke shook his head, lightly lifted his hand to remove the disguise he had been using on his face for a long time, revealing his true appearance. Then he reached out with both hands to hold Selene's shoulders, stared into her eyes, and said with a calm expression: "I am not called Michael, Selene. I am called Locke Galahad. Michael was just one of my employers."

Selene's eyes were filled with shock, but upon seeing his very familiar face, she immediately revealed an expression of sudden realization. She raised a hand, trembling with excitement, and pointed at him: "You... it really is you. I thought I had misread it at the time."

"Hmm?" Locke tilted his head, somewhat puzzled: "Have you seen my true face before?"

"Do you still remember the scene at the clinic that day when you held me and jumped down from the floor above?"

Locke nodded solemnly: "How could I possibly forget such an important scene? But is there any connection between the two?"

"Naturally, there is, because just as we were falling, what I saw on your face was exactly how you look now."

Selene had originally felt a sense of alienation because Locke had revealed his real name and changed back to his original face, but after seeing Locke's true appearance, that sense of alienation disappeared. She even couldn't help but feel a little happy.

"Then didn't you suspect that I was impersonating someone at the time?"

"I thought it was a hallucination caused by falling from a great height, combined with my emotional agitation."

Selene shook her head, looking at the grandeur he displayed, her eyes shining: "I just didn't expect this to be your true face. You really kept me in the dark."

The reason for this was naturally not just because Locke's true face was much more handsome than Michael's. It was also because when he revealed his true face, in the distant outer space, a pink star burst out with intense light, and then applied a mysterious energy to him, allowing him to naturally possess the favor of women.

Of course, this energy was not just for simply enhancing his charm. However, other benefits were not yet discoverable given Locke's current strength.

Seeing that Selene was not angry after knowing he was a fake Michael, but instead appeared somewhat happy, Locke couldn't help but feel a bit surprised by her reaction.

"So you are not angry that I was impersonating someone?"

"Why would I be angry?" Selene turned her head to the side, but the corner of her eye uncontrollably peeked at his face. It didn't matter if she didn't look, but once she looked, she was affected by that mysterious energy and became slightly dazed: "Locke, how can he be so good-looking..."

Selene was completely infatuated.

This was mainly because Locke's original face was already very handsome, and combined with the fair skin he possessed after transforming into a Nightwalker today, as well as the cold, ghostly aura radiating from his entire body, his attractiveness immediately rose several levels.

Selene felt that perhaps Michael, the King of Angels in myths and legends, could only look like this. This was truly not her exaggerating, but her most genuine thought.

Not just her, even Erica, who was on the side, was equally lost in a daze while looking at Locke's true face. (Erica)
