83: Why not kneel?

Thinking of this, the looks these people directed at the old men opposite them could not help but become sharp.

However, the next scene completely exceeded their expectations.

It could even be said to have overturned their perception.

Originally, everyone thought that Locke would walk behind Emilia and stand like a guard.

Unexpectedly, when Locke walked to the side of the head seat, Emilia, whom they viewed as an Elder, stood up abruptly from her seat with an excited expression, then immediately knelt on one knee before Locke:

"My Master, everything is as you arranged. Now, all the remaining power-holders of the Vampire Clan in the castle are here. The rest is left to you."

As Emilia performed this action and spoke these words, everyone in the conference room couldn't help but gasp in unison.

Hiss—

Everyone's mouth was shocked wide enough to fit an egg at this moment.

As for their eyes, it goes without saying; every Vampire's eyeballs were about to fall to the ground looking at Locke.

"Hmm, you did well."

Locke nodded calmly at Emilia's pledge, his expression unchanged, and then he sat down calmly in the head seat that symbolized the Vampire power.

Emilia, whom all Vampires viewed as the highest-ranking person present, stood respectfully behind Locke, looking at him with adoration, and said nothing more.

This scene completely overturned the perception of every Vampire present.

No one expected this result.

Even Serena and Erica were shocked speechless.

This was a scene no one could have imagined.

They never thought their Elder would bow down to a young man in his 20s.

How absurd and shocking this was.

"Is… is this an illusion?"

"Why is it like this? Elder Emilia is actually calling him 'Young Master'…"

"How is it possible? How is it possible? What is his identity, why must even the Elder bow to him?"

"This is simply too unbelievable."

Everyone had similar thoughts, especially the Vampire nobles under Emilia.

The smiles on their faces froze, now filled with doubt, confusion, and horror.

Emilia's performance was like a bomb dropped in their hearts, causing their brains to go blank for a moment.

They couldn't understand or accept this scene, only able to stare, slightly dazed, at Locke, who was leaning lazily in the head seat, and Emilia, who was standing respectfully behind him.

The shift in status between Emilia and Locke was completely unacceptable to them for the moment.

Know that although Emilia is female, since becoming an Elder, she had never shown such a low posture in front of so many people.

Even when facing Kus, the nominal progenitor, she had never knelt on one knee and bowed down like this.

After a long while, several people moved their lips and subconsciously asked their doubts while looking at Emilia.

"This… Elder Emilia, why… why are you doing this?"

"Tell us quickly, it must have been an illusion just now, right? How can a newcomer Vampire in his 20s be your master!"

"Elder Emilia, what has happened to you? As an Elder, why are you bowing to such a nobody?"

These were all their inner questions, and due to being too shocked, they asked them subconsciously.

Not just them, Serena and Erica, who were closest to Locke, also had the same questions.

"How did Locke do it? Why is even an Elder like Emilia willing to bow to him?"

Serena looked at Locke with eyes full of curiosity and doubt.

There was shock, but not as much as the others present.

Because if there was anyone present who could believe Locke could do this, it would be her and Erica.

"What exactly happened during that mission?"

Serena suppressed the doubt in her heart and didn't ask, while Erica's gaze toward Locke had no doubt, only increasing adoration.

"Locke, oh Locke, so this is the real you? It truly makes me unable to stop myself. No wonder I started to feel attracted to you the first moment I saw you…"

I don't know why, but Erica didn't feel shocked at all that Locke could do this; instead, she felt it was a matter of course.

As for the others, needless to say, any big shot of the Vampire Clan in the conference room had more or less astonishment on their faces.

Facing everyone's questions, Emilia stood with her hands behind her back, serving beside Locke like a maid.

Seeing that Locke had no intention of answering, she leaned over and whispered into Locke's ear:

"Master, do you need me to explain it to them?"

Locke nodded nonchalantly: "Do as you please."

Having said that, he closed his eyes directly.

Seeing this, Emilia immediately changed her attitude, bringing out the dignity of an Elder.

She lifted her chin slightly and stared contemptuously at the old nobles who had questioned her earlier.

"Noisy, truly noisy. How can I allow you to question what I do?"

"Or do you think that I, as an Elder, do not have the right to make my own decisions?"

"Uh…"

Seeing her expression turn cold, those people were completely speechless.

With panic on their faces, they immediately knelt on one knee towards her:

"Elder Emilia, please forgive our mistake. We just wanted an answer."

"We are not questioning your choice, but wanting to know why you chose this way."

"Since you, Elder, are unwilling to say, we will not ask further."

Emilia frowned slightly, glanced at the old guys, and said coldly:

"You… knelt to the wrong person!"

Her voice was extremely penetrating.

Although not loud, it accurately fell into the ears of everyone present.

The three white-haired old nobles looked at each other, then slowly lowered their heads, turned their bodies to face the closing-eyed Locke,

"Greetings, Lord Locke."

"Greetings, Lord Locke."

As these three high-ranking people knelt, the several guards following them also knelt, all bowing to Locke in unison.

Emilia nodded with satisfaction when she saw this, then turned her gaze to the others in the conference room.

"Seeing my Master, why do you not kneel!"
