80: Fusion

The Flesh Ball monster that had been limp on the ground looked like a water-soaked sponge being dried out, beginning to shrink.

That originally swollen, mountain-like mass of flesh, under the effect of the virgins curd, began to react violently, much like grease placed over a large fire.

It suddenly began to shrink.

Crackling, crackling.

The red flesh that had wrapped around Sophia layer after layer like a swim ring suddenly began to shrink as if it were leaking air.

The once-vibrant human flesh fibers suddenly seemed to lose their energy, becoming gray and decayed as if they had been left out for who knows how long.

This sudden change couldn't help but make Locke frown.

However, fortunately, he noticed that although the Flesh Ball was shrinking, it was slowly transforming from a mountain-like shape into a human form.

This made him breathe a sigh of relief inwardly.

"It's good that it wasn't wasted."

Meanwhile, the flesh tumor that had originally grown a human face began to slowly sprout into the shape of a human head under the supply of energy.

From the fair skin to the dark, long hair, Sophia, like a newborn growing out of this mountain of flesh, began to reform her body under the influence of the virgins curd.

Lucien, who was directly in front of him, saw this scene, and the joy in his heart was about to overflow.

He danced with joy, but he did not dare to touch Sophia directly, worried that he might accidentally interfere with her rebirth process.

Locke knew that Sophia would most likely be able to survive. Although he didn't know what method Victor had used to preserve her soul and parts of her body, it didn't matter; what mattered was that he had saved her.

Locke retreated slowly and quietly, and watching Lucien dancing happily on the spot, he also felt the corners of his mouth curl up slightly.

He turned around, preparing to leave silently, leaving this place to Lucien and Sophia, who had not seen each other for hundreds of years.

Although Locke didn't consider himself a good person, seeing someone dance with joy because of what he had done, he couldn't help but smile.

However, before leaving, he took the supernatural polymer that had condensed on Victor's body. It was a dark red, eyeball-shaped crystal that was purer than the one he had obtained from Kraven, and its quality should be better.

Although he hadn't decided who to use this red crystal to cultivate, it was, after all, his loot. He planned to wait and see how Alfred performed after digesting the crystal from Kraven before making any plans.

Who knows, he might even be able to cultivate another Sequence 9 bat to work for him.

On the other side, Lucien was focused on watching Sophia's body slowly recovering before his eyes, completely unaware that Locke, to whom he owed the greatest debt of gratitude, had quietly retreated.

Locke did not return to the Vampire stronghold directly through the front door, but instead followed the moonlight back along the original path to Victor's secret chamber.

He wanted to search again to see if he could find anything useful.

Of course, his main interest was the longsword Victor had been holding at the time.

Additionally, he also wanted to see if he could find the secret incantation Victor had used to cultivate Sophia.

Although he wasn't particularly interested, if someone important were to suffer similar injuries in the future, he might be able to use this incantation to preserve their soul and incomplete body, and then resurrect them whenever he drew a virgins curd.

Therefore, while this incantation didn't seem to produce anything very benevolent, Locke felt that it depended on who was using it.

In the hands of a dog like Victor, any good incantation would probably be used in a very evil way.

However, since the urgency of hunting someone down was gone, Locke slowed his pace under the moonlight. On the way to the secret chamber, he began to focus his attention on the panel that he hadn't looked at carefully for a long time.

He intended to take advantage of this empty moment to use the skill fusion card and see if there was a chance to cultivate a powerful new skill.

If it were really possible, his confidence in dealing with Marcus and William would be raised to another level.

Therefore, even if there were no new skills, he already had nearly an 80% chance of success with his current strength, but wasn't it still not quite 90%?

There was still room for improvement.

With a shift in his thoughts, the panel, which hadn't been fully displayed before him for a long time, appeared once again. This time, it was significantly different from when he had first transmigrated.

The biggest difference was the addition of the Supernatural Sequence and Extraordinary Skills columns.

Especially the Extraordinary Skills, which had been filled to the brim in a short period of time.

Looking at this completely changed personal panel, Locke felt a faint sense of accomplishment in his heart.

It was just like the feeling of seeing the character you cultivated achieve significant growth in an RPG game.

"I didn't expect that in this short period of less than half a month, I would have already accumulated so many supernatural skills?"

Locke looked at the dense row of supernatural skills, and to be honest, he was a bit surprised himself.

Because he hadn't really paid close attention or counted them in his daily life, he didn't expect that in less than half a month, the number of supernatural skills had gone from zero to more than a dozen.

And basically, every single one was useful for enhancing his combat power.

Even the number of supernatural items that could be used in combat had increased by quite a few.

"Not bad, not bad. I didn't know until I looked, but now that I have, I realize that I seem to no longer be that weak self."

The strong contrast made him feel a bit dazed, and he couldn't help but feel a little emotional.

Then, Locke turned his attention to selecting targets among the same skills for fusion.

And two combat skills, both at lv3, immediately caught his eye.

"Classical Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts should count as the same type of skill, right? I wonder if they can fuse into an even more powerful special skill."

Without much hesitation, as soon as Locke thought of it, he immediately used the skill fusion card.

A flash of white light swept by, and the image of the skill fusion card in his Personal Space disappeared, while in correspondence, the two skills, Classical Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts, began to fuse and intertwine.

Finally, a dazzling light flashed across the panel, and the two skills were successfully fused.

In Locke's Supernatural Skills column, a new melee skill had appeared: [Bloodthirsty Combat lv1].
