177: Chapter 177 One Hundred Million, 20%

Lin Hu sat on the sofa, crossing his legs and eyeing the office. The decor was simple compared to the chairman offices he had seen, with no famous paintings or antiques.

On the wall hung only a piece of calligraphy: "Actions Speak Louder Than Words."

The signature wasn't from any great master, just someone with the surname Wang.

He scoffed, "President Shen, this office of yours isn't very impressive. This painting..."

He had intended to call it trash, but after glancing at the signature... he seemed to have heard the name before; it was somewhat familiar. But it certainly wasn't the work of any famous master; it shouldn't be worth much.

"After we cooperate later, I'll get you a few things to decorate the place. They aren't expensive, just standard industry prices."

After saying this, he pointed to the wall, filing cabinets, and a few other spots.

"Here, here, and here, hang stuff up on all of them. You're such a large enterprise, yet so plain; no wonder others look down on you."

Shen Fei sat down behind his desk, watching this fool perform for a while without responding. "State your business."

Lin Hu put his leg down and leaned forward.

"President Shen, I've heard you did well in the Africa market, but since you've returned to the country, if you want to survive in this place, you have to understand the rules."

Shen Fei looked at him. "What rules? Who set them?"

Lin Hu smiled. "Don't worry about that; I know them, that's all that matters."

He stood up, walked to the window, and turned his back to Shen Fei. "President Shen, let's make a deal."

Shen Fei didn't speak. He just wanted to see just how stupid these idiots could be, or perhaps, how confident they were.

"Don't say I'm bullying you. You hand over 20% of Transsion's shares and give us that investment team—the team leader's surname is Huang, right? We'll give you 100 million."

Shen Fei looked at him and shook his head lightly. Indeed, when people are speechless, they always pause for a moment.

"100 million?"

"100 million. Cash, tax-free."

Shen Fei laughed. "The land Transsion owns right now is worth over 1 billion. You want to buy 20% of my shares and take my investment team for 100 million? A brain is a good thing to have; I hope you have one too."

Lin Hu prepared to speak again, but the underling beside him started laughing.

"What do you mean?"

The underling leaned into his ear. "Boss, he said you're stupid."

Lin Hu's expression changed, but thinking of Lu Mingyuan's words, he quickly recovered. After all, Transsion was very valuable and could help them carry out more effective operations.

"Kid, I like people like you. But you need to know that land is land, and cash is cash. In this place, China, some things cannot be solved with money. These areas that cannot be solved are often more important than money. This is our specialty. Do you know what the right to interpret the rules means?"

"What if I don't sell?"

"Don't be ungrateful, kid. Brother Lin is speaking nicely to you, that's giving you face. If he doesn't speak nicely to you, it'll be impossible for this company of yours to keep running."

"Then I'd like to see that." Shen Fei retorted with disdain once again.

Not to mention the leaders he had met from the National Semiconductor Fund. He could take these authorization letters to any door and cry out, and he could send these second-generation brats—and their fathers—to prison. After all, none of these people were clean; with sons like these, the fathers naturally couldn't be any cleaner.

Lin Hu stared at him, his gaze becoming murderous.

"President Shen, I know you have someone backing you. Just a deputy minister, that's all. His teacher does have great influence, but he has already retired; when the person leaves, the tea goes cold."

He walked to Shen Fei's desk, pressed his hands on it, and leaned down to look at him.

"Do you know who is behind me?"

Shen Fei met his gaze; he actually wanted to hear who this "Big Shot Lu" really was.

"Who?"

Lin Hu smiled and stepped back. "I can't tell you that."

He straightened his suit to make himself look better.

"President Shen, I'll give you three days to consider. I'll come back in three days."

He walked to the door and looked back at Shen Fei.

"100 million is not a small amount. Don't end up getting nothing at all and still having to honestly hand these things over."

The person beside him tried to close the door, but Shen Fei clapped his hands. The bodyguards waiting outside immediately blocked them.

"What's the meaning of this?"

"Playing tough?"

"I've never been afraid of anyone when it comes to this trick. I didn't have a reason before, but now you've delivered evidence right to my doorstep. Assault, attempted murder."

Lin Hu spoke faster and faster, his anger intensifying, and his expression becoming increasingly disheveled. Of course, this was all an act; he had to properly report this to Lu Mingyuan when he got back.

This person didn't take him seriously at all; he had already shouted, yet the other party still didn't give any face. It didn't matter if he, Lin Hu, was slapped in the face, but Brother Lu could not be. 20% and one investment team was absolutely not enough; at least 40%, otherwise this matter would absolutely not be over.

"President Lin, we are a legitimate enterprise, so of course we won't use those kinds of tactics. However, you broke a set of our tea sets downstairs just now. These are custom-made tea sets for entertaining distinguished guests, worth 18,000 yuan per set. Would you like to pay by cash or card?"

The security guard beside him also handed over a POS machine to Lin Hu.

"President Shen, is this your company's way of treating guests?"

"I never said it was. However, your father should have taught you that if you break something, you must pay for it according to its value."

"Good!" Lin Hu gave him a thumbs up. "You've taught me another lesson, but when the day comes for me to teach you a lesson, I hope you don't regret it."

Lin Hu took out his bank card, swiped it, and then left the scene in a rage. The security guards respectfully saw him off; after all, the other party had already paid for these value-added services, so their attitude naturally had to be good.

Three days later, the stupid tiger came again, but this time he was smarter. He had 10 underlings, plus a man in his thirties wearing glasses and a shirt, looking refined. But Shen Fei felt he was likely a scumbag too.

"President Shen, this is Zhang Hao."

Zhang Hao reached out his hand. "President Shen, I've heard much about you."

Shen Fei didn't pay him any attention and directly invited them to sit down.

The three of them sat down. This time, Lin Hu didn't cross his legs; he just looked at Zhang Hao, signaling him to speak quickly. But before he could open his mouth, Shen Fei spoke first:

"My time is very valuable; I need to go to the construction site. Say what you have to say quickly. If it's still about the last matter, then leave; there's nothing to discuss."

"President Shen, you can't say it like that. Lin Hu might have been a bit impulsive last time; I apologize on his behalf."

Shen Fei still didn't make a sound. "But our goal is the same. You have technology, we have connections; we hope to cooperate."

"Cooperation? 100 million, you call that cooperation?"

Looking at Shen Fei's disdainful smile, Zhang Hao laughed. Indeed, he was too young. In this world, can you really do whatever you want just because you have technology? They had seen plenty of these arrogant people who thought that having a little bit of technology meant they could change the world and create a new landscape. Too young! The Shen Fei before him was the same, but this kind of person was the easiest to deal with.

"The price can be negotiated, but you must understand one thing..."

He walked forward. "No matter how important your technology is, it needs to be used by someone. If no one uses it, it's just a pile of papers, just a pile of waste paper."
