45: Chapter 45 Factory Trial Operation!

Not long after, the first Power max completely assembled by local employees rolled off the assembly line.

All the Mauritius employees and the spectators who had come to visit cheered excitedly!

This was the first mobile phone manufactured in Mauritius, and it wasn't a very low-end phone, but a high-end phone priced at 149 dollars.

In their eyes, each one of them revealed a look of anticipation.

Power max, produced by themselves...

Mr. Adebayo specially and solemnly presented this phone, numbered 00001, to Jugnauth: "Sir, this phone is not just a digital product, but a new starting point for Mauritius's manufacturing industry."

"Transsion promises to continuously expand this industrial center over the next three years, and job opportunities will continue to grow. We don't make empty promises; every word we pledge will be put into practice."

Jugnauth took the phone and nodded seriously. He believed Mr. Adebayo's words, so he turned to the camera and gave Transsion another very loud endorsement:

"From today on, all government official phones in Mauritius will officially be switched to Transsion. We want to use our own choices to support enterprises that are down-to-earth."

Over the next few days, the production line continued to ramp up.

Offline stores in Mauritius were already overcrowded.

Many users who originally wanted to buy the T1 proactively added some money to upgrade to the higher-end Power max; they knew this themselves.

Many people held their heads high when they walked out of the store. Next to them, the advertisement read: "Our own phone, our own factory."

Transsion's monthly sales in Mauritius gradually climbed from 100,000+ to 400,000+, a month-on-month increase of over 350%.

... Meanwhile, at the training center on the east side of the park.

120 students sat in the classroom, listening intently to the engineer's lecture. On the podium sat a disassembled Power max, with its parts neatly arranged on a tray.

"Today we are going to talk about battery fault diagnosis."

Regarding training, Transsion certainly did not cut corners.

The lead engineers were technical backbones sent from Guangzhou, and they specifically incorporated local culture, using the simplest and most understandable methods to help them learn these simple techniques.

"The Power max uses a liquid lithium battery, with a normal battery life of about 14 to 20 days. If a user reports that it only lasts two or three days, what could be the problem?"

A young man with dark skin raised his hand: "It could be a charger issue, where the voltage is unstable, causing it not to charge fully. The teacher has taught us this problem."

"Very good," the engineer nodded. "What else?"

Another student said: "It could be background programs consuming power, for example, having Bluetooth on all the time."

"Both are correct," but the engineer was already drawing a circuit diagram on the whiteboard.

"But the most common issue is battery aging. How do you judge that? It's very simple..."

Immediately after, he picked up a multimeter to measure the battery voltage and internal resistance. The students below took notes earnestly; some even took pictures to record it, preparing to study repeatedly using the photos.

This class had more than 30 students, who were potential talents Transsion had scouted from Tanzania.

After Minister Mohammed defected to Bird, a portion of the excellent employees were still brought to Mauritius by Mr. Adebayo for a new round of technical training. Next, they would become seeds to recapture this market.

After class, the engineer kept the young man who had raised his hand first behind.

"Kamara, you are very talented."

He flipped through a grade sheet on the side.

That's right, in this free training center, performance is everything. Those with good grades continue for free, while those with poor academic performance are kicked out of the school after the term ends to continue doing what they were doing before.

Kamara picked up the grade analysis, and a glimmer of light flashed in his eyes.

"In last week's practical repair session, you fixed a motherboard short circuit in 15 minutes. It was the fastest in the class. Are you interested in joining Transsion's after-sales technical team? The starting salary is 150 dollars, with accommodation and further training provided."

Kamara's eyes widened, seemingly a bit skeptical: "Teacher, re... really? But I don't have a degree!"

"Transsion doesn't look at degrees; we look at ability. Besides, the training center is your best degree." The engineer patted his shoulder. "Go to the HR department tomorrow for an assessment. Once you pass, you can sign a formal employment agreement."

Soon, Kamara relied on his own ability to pass a series of assessments and officially became a contracted employee of Transsion.

After the news spread, the learning enthusiasm of the students at the training center soared even higher. They knew that as long as they worked hard, they could join; Transsion was not giving them empty promises.

... Time quickly came to May. Guangzhou, the old Shen family residence.

The century-old lychee tree in the courtyard was blooming, and tiny white flowers were scattered all over the ground.

Shen Fei's mother, Zhang Ruyue, had been busy in the kitchen since early morning. She not only stewed fresh chicken soup and personally steamed sea bass, as well as some other less common seafood, but she also specially prepared some northern-style dishes.

Seeing this spread, it was obvious that guests were coming. Shen Fei felt a bit helpless; when he came home himself, he never received this kind of treatment.

"Mom, do you really need to make so much?"

"It's just a simple meal."

Shen Fei watched his mother bustling back and forth between the kitchen and the living room, and shook his head helplessly.

"What simple meal?" Zhang Ruyue glared at him. "This is Mingzhu's first time visiting the house, and it can also be considered the first formal meeting between the elders of the two families. How can we be careless?"

Shen Fei leaned back slightly to make some room, but the crisis still befell him.

"You little brat, you don't even know how to tidy yourself up. What if your Uncle Zhang doesn't like you?"

Shen Fei could only retreat quickly; he knew that his mother was currently... not to be trifled with, and it was better to avoid her.

Of the thirty-six stratagems, running away is the best one.

Shen Guoming was sitting on a chair nearby with a thin blanket over his legs: "Let your mother be busy; she's happy."

At 12 o'clock noon, the doorbell rang.

Shen Fei went to open the door, and outside stood Zhang Shiqing and his wife, along with Zhang Mingzhu.

That's right, after more than five months since his transfer, Zhang Shiqing had finally finished handling the work on his hands and had officially brought Zhang's mother over.

Today was not only a simple family meal, but also a welcome banquet.

Zhang Shiqing was wearing a light gray Zhongshan suit today; he seemed less imposing like an official and more amiable and approachable.

Zhang Mingzhu stood behind Zhang's mother, wearing a light pink dress, with her long hair still tied up. She held two boxes of tea and a bouquet of flowers in her hands, smiling slightly.

"Uncle Zhang, Auntie, please come in," Shen Fei said, welcoming them while stepping aside, and he also took the two boxes of tea from Zhang Mingzhu's hands.

"Xiao Fei. We meet again." Zhang Shiqing patted his shoulder and looked at the courtyard. "This old courtyard really has character; there aren't many such courtyards left in Liwan District."

After everyone walked into the house and sat down.

Zhang Mingzhu handed the flowers in her hand to Zhang Ruyue. Shen Fei's mother took her hand and looked her up and down, liking her more the more she looked.

"Mingzhu, you girl, you're even prettier than in the photos. Is studying at school hard?"

"It's not hard, Auntie," Zhang Mingzhu's voice was very soft. "I'll learn more while I can, so I can better help share the pressure for A-Fei later."
