119: Chapter 118 You're the big boss, Su Bai?!

Wang Churan didn't fix her hair, but instead spoke in a smaller, more mysterious voice:

"I heard that our big boss is very young, and he's very handsome too."

Tian Xiwei poked her head out from behind her phone screen.

"Who did you hear that from?"

"People in the company said so." Wang Churan's voice was as light as a breeze blowing through a sheer curtain. "And they also said..."

She hesitated for a moment and glanced at the door.

"And said what?" Tian Xiwei leaned in closer.

"They also said that Shen Tian is interested in the big boss." Wang Churan's voice was almost inaudible.

"People in the company say that many people pursue Shen Tian, but she has only ever smiled at Su Bai."

Tian Xiwei gasped.

"Wow! Is that for real?"

"I only heard it too." Wang Churan quickly waved her hands. "Don't take it as fact, don't take it as fact."

Tian Xiwei leaned back against the sofa, looked up at the ceiling, and let out a sigh.

"Sigh! Why is the gap between people so huge? We're about the same age, yet he's already a titan of capital, while we're still here, struggling and waiting for him to spare us some resources from between his fingers."

Wang Churan also leaned back against the sofa, lying next to her.

"Yeah."

The two of them were silent for two seconds.

The three of them chatted for a while longer, gossiping about the company, which artist acted like a diva, which manager was the most difficult to deal with, and about the time Shen Tian scolded a male actor until he cried on set.

Tian Xiwei was animated when she spoke, her expressions as rich as if she were performing in a play.

Wang Churan was quieter, but occasionally interjected, always hitting the funny bone.

Su Bai sat across from them, listening to them talk, occasionally smiling and occasionally asking a question.

The three of them got along very well, like friends who had known each other for a long time.

Tian Xiwei took out her phone and opened WeChat.

"Come on, let's add each other on WeChat so it's easier to keep in touch later."

Su Bai also took out his phone and scanned her QR code.

Wang Churan also leaned in and scanned it.

Tian Xiwei lowered her head to add a nickname, her fingers tapping on the screen a few times.

"Little brother, what's your name? Let me save it in my contacts."

Su Bai looked at her, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.

"My name is Su Bai."

Tian Xiwei's finger hovered over the screen, frozen.

Wang Churan looked up at her, then at Su Bai.

Both of them were stunned.

The office went quiet.

It was a silence as if the whole world had suddenly hit the pause button.

"Su Bai?!"

Tian Xiwei's voice changed, carrying a cautious, trembling tone, as if confirming a very important fact, and filled with disbelief!

"Su Bai."

Su Bai said with a smile.

Tian Xiwei looked at Wang Churan.

Wang Churan looked at Tian Xiwei.

Both of them were dumbfounded.

Just then, the door opened.

Shen Tian pushed the door open and entered.

Today, she was wearing a white shirt with a thin black ribbon tied at the collar in a delicate, small bow.

Her chest was plump, the white shirt fabric stretched tight, and the second button was pulled slightly open.

Below, she wore a black pencil skirt that reached just above her knees, tightly wrapping around her rounded buttocks and outlining a smooth curve.

On her legs were black stockings, the very sheer kind, shimmering slightly under the lights.

Her hair was worn down, a bit longer than usual, with slightly curled ends. She wore exquisite makeup, with winged eyeliner and rosy lips, looking every bit as stunning as a female celebrity.

Her originally ice-cold face melted like spring snow the moment she saw Su Bai.

Her eyes instantly lit up, the corners of her mouth curved, and even her steps became lighter.

"General Manager Su."

Her voice carried a tone of playful reproach and coquettishness—a tone she only used with this person.

"You didn't even say a word when you arrived. I was still waiting for you downstairs."

Su Bai stood up under the shocked gazes of the two women, walked over to Shen Tian, and smiled faintly.

"Coming to my own company, there's no need to be so formal."

Shen Tian looked at him, her eyes shining.

Tian Xiwei and Wang Churan sat on the sofa like two statues.

They looked at Shen Tian, the legendary ice-cold General Manager Shen who never smiled and had scolded countless artists until they cried.

She was smiling like this at this "little brother," her voice so soft, her eyes so watery and tender?!

As if remembering something, Shen Tian turned around and looked at the two girls on the sofa who had already turned to stone.

Her expression changed from warm as spring back to strictly professional—the speed of her face-changing was faster than flipping a book.

"These two are the artists our company just signed, Tian Xiwei and Wang Churan. They—" She was about to introduce them.

Su Bai waved his hand.

"No need for introductions, we already met just now."

He looked back at the two girls and winked at them.

"Very energetic."

Shen Tian was stunned for a moment, her gaze darting between Su Bai and the two girls, a meaningful glint flashing in her eyes.

Then she walked back behind her desk, picked up a folder, and opened it.

"This person," Shen Tian turned to Tian Xiwei and Wang Churan, her voice much more formal than before,

"is our company's big boss, General Manager Su. You were able to be signed because he gave the nod."

Tian Xiwei and Wang Churan sprang up from the sofa simultaneously.

They stood very straight, their hands pressed against the seams of their pants, like two students called out by a teacher.

"G-General Manager Su, hello..."

Tian Xiwei's voice was as small as a mosquito's hum, a complete contrast to the carefree, fearless girl from just a moment ago.

"Hello, General Manager Su."

Wang Churan also followed suit, her voice even smaller, her head bowed even lower.

Su Bai looked at them and smiled.

"Sit down, don't just stand there."

The two sat back down on the sofa, but this time their posture was completely different.

A moment ago, they were sprawled on the sofa, legs crossed, hands on the armrests, as comfortable as they could be.

Now they were sitting ramrod straight, not daring to lean back against the sofa, their hands on their knees, like two college students going to their first interview.

Su Bai sat down across from them, and Shen Tian sat beside him.

She flipped through the folder and handed the two girls' profiles to Su Bai.

Su Bai took them, flipped through a few pages, and then looked up.

"Tian Xiwei." He called her name.

Tian Xiwei's body tensed up.

"Yes!"

Su Bai looked at her.

"You performed in plays back in school?"

Tian Xiwei was stunned, not expecting him to ask about this.

"Y-yes, I performed in 'Thunderstorm,' I played Sifeng."

Her voice was still shaking, but steadier than before.

"How did you perform?"

"It... it was okay. The director said I had some talent."

When she said this, that carefree confidence appeared on her face again, but she quickly pulled it back, as if remembering that the person in front of her wasn't a "little brother," but the big boss!

Su Bai nodded, then looked at Wang Churan.

"You studied folk dance?"

Wang Churan looked up, glanced at him, then lowered her head again.

"Yes, I studied it for twelve years."

"Don't lose those twelve years of fundamental training," Su Bai said. "An actor's carriage is very important."

Wang Churan's eyes lit up, then dimmed again.

"Yes... General Manager Su."

Su Bai closed the folder and placed it on the coffee table.

He leaned back against the sofa and looked at them.

"I have two productions in my hands, big-budget period dramas. Both are supporting roles; the screen time isn't much, but the roles are good—one has room for performance, and the other is very likable."

He paused.

"Are you willing to go and audition for them?"
