43: Chapter 43 Buying a Car

Su Bai walked out of the building and headed down the street.

Stepping out of the office building, the sunlight was a bit dazzling.

He squinted and glanced at the map.

Not far away, there happened to be a Porsche 4S dealership.

What a coincidence.

He just happened to be looking for a car for commuting.

So, he started walking towards it.

Ten minutes later, he arrived at the entrance of the 4S dealership.

The dealership was spacious, with several display cars parked in the center of the hall, gleaming under the lights.

Sales consultants were standing around in small groups; some were attending to customers, while others were looking down at their phones.

Su Bai walked in and strolled slowly around the showroom.

A salesperson saw Su Bai come in, glanced at him, and then looked away.

A boy dressed like a student, what kind of car could he afford?

Just a waste of time.

Su Bai didn't care and continued looking at the cars on his own.

Behind the glass curtain wall, a row of shiny cars was parked. The showroom was brightly lit, and a few people were looking at the cars.

Su Bai pushed the door and went in.

The warmth hit his face, carrying a faint scent of leather and cleaning agents.

A young female salesperson hurried up to greet him.

She looked to be in her early twenties, with a round face, round eyes, and two little dimples when she smiled.

She was wearing a black professional suit with her hair tied in a low ponytail, looking obedient and cute.

"Hello, welcome!" her voice was crisp. "May I ask which car you would like to see?"

Su Bai looked around.

"Just looking around."

"Alright, alright!" The round-faced salesperson followed by his side,

"Do you have any preferences for car models? An SUV or a sedan? What is your approximate budget?"

Su Bai didn't answer.

He walked over to a panamera and stopped.

This car was nice, moderate in size, not flashy, but sufficient.

For a student to drive this, it shouldn't be considered too high-profile, right?

"Introduce this panamera to me."

The round-faced salesperson's eyes lit up:

"This car you are looking at is the 3.0T All-Wheel-Drive Executive Extended Version. The base price is 1.451 million, and there is currently a discount of 180,000. Would you like to see the options list? Or if you are interested, you can take it for a test drive."

Su Bai nodded.

Just as he was about to speak, his stomach suddenly growled.

He was hungry.

"Do you... provide meals here?" he asked the round-faced salesperson.

The round-faced salesperson was stunned.

Provide meals?

But she quickly reacted and nodded with a smile:

"Yes, we do! We have a customer dining area. If you are hungry, you can have something to eat first."

"Alright."

The round-faced salesperson led him toward the back with a smile.

When passing the front desk, a curly-haired salesperson who was organizing documents looked up, glanced at their backs, and curled her lip.

"Another one here just for a free meal."

She whispered, sneering,

"He looks like a student, what kind of car could he possibly afford?"

The round-faced salesperson heard this, paused for a moment, and her face flushed slightly.

But she didn't say anything and continued leading Su Bai towards the dining area.

Su Bai also heard it.

He glanced at the curly-haired salesperson, withdrew his gaze, and said nothing.

The dining area wasn't big, but it was very clean.

It was buffet-style with dozens of dishes, and the quality was quite good.

Su Bai served himself a plate of food and found a seat.

The round-faced salesperson stood to the side, feeling a bit awkward.

"Please take your time eating; I'll go outside and wait for you."

"Join me?"

Su Bai pointed to the chair opposite him,

"You should eat too, right?"

The round-faced salesperson was stunned for a moment, then smiled.

"Okay, thank you!"

She also went to serve herself a plate of food and sat down opposite Su Bai.

The two ate and chatted casually.

"What should I call you?" Su Bai asked.

"My name is Tian Tian," the round-faced salesperson said. "Tian like in field, and Tian like in tranquility."

"Oh, that's a nice name."

Tian Tian smiled, her two dimples deepening.

"And you? What is your surname?"

"Su Bai."

"Mr. Su," Tian Tian nodded. "Are you looking for a car for yourself?"

"Yes."

"You... are still a student, right?"

"Yes."

Tian Tian was stunned.

A college student coming to buy a Porsche panamera?!

You have to know, if you include the options, this car costs almost 2 million.

She opened her mouth, wanting to ask something, but swallowed her words.

Su Bai didn't explain further and continued eating.

After finishing the meal, the two returned to the showroom.

Just as Su Bai was about to ask Tian Tian to arrange a test drive, he caught a glimpse of a car parked outside the showroom out of the corner of his eye.

A black car with gold rims, crouching low like a beast, with sharp and tight body lines. The smoked honeycomb grille and four-point daytime running lights were cold and intimidating!

The fastback design was smooth and sharp, with black trim pieces adorning it, and the large rims set off the red calipers, hiding its edge!

The rear smoked taillights, quad exhaust, and retractable rear spoiler, along with the GTS badge, were low-key yet flamboyant, wrapping an understated ferocity within elegance.

panamera GTS!

If a regular panamera is an elegant gentleman, then the GTS is an iron-blooded warrior tearing off its tuxedo to reveal its mechanical armor!

Su Bai stopped in his tracks.

"That car," he pointed outside, "is it for sale?"

Tian Tian looked in the direction he pointed and was stunned for a moment.

"Are you talking about that GTS?"

"Yes."

"Yes, it is!" She hurriedly walked outside,

"That is our dealership's display car, the top trim, and it just arrived."

Su Bai followed her to the car.

It looked even cooler up close.

The streamlined body and low-slung stance made it a complete road tyrant!

Su Bai sat inside to get a feel for it.

The seats offered great support, and the steering wheel felt solid in his hands.

He pressed the start button, and the 4.0T engine emitted a low roar.

He looked at Tian Tian.

"What's the price?"

Tian Tian was a bit nervous.

"This car is the top trim, with optional Jet Black Metallic paint, Barrique Red leather interior, Neodyme wheels..."

She listed a bunch of things, and finally said with trepidation,

"The on-the-road price is about... 2.6 million."

After speaking, she watched Su Bai's expression, fearing he would be scared off by this price.

Or rather, she had never even considered that she could sell this car to the person in front of her.

Su Bai nodded.

2.6 million.

To him, there wasn't much difference between 1 million and 2 million.

Plus, this car was indeed cool.

"I'll buy it." He decided.

Tian Tian was stunned, unable to process it.

"Huh?"

"I said, I'll buy it." Su Bai got out of the car,

"How long will it take to process the paperwork?"

Tian Tian opened her mouth, not knowing what to say for a moment.

She had been in sales for two years and had seen all kinds of customers.

There were those who bargained, those who hesitated, those who test-drove a dozen times and still didn't buy, and those who brought their whole family to discuss it for ages.

But she had never seen anything like this—

In the store for less than an hour, had a meal, took one look, and just bought it?!

He couldn't be messing with her, right?!

This was a 2.6 million car!

He didn't even blink!

"Um..." she swallowed hard, "Are you sure? Don't you want to test drive it first?"

"No need."

"Then... financing or full payment?"

"Full payment."

Su Bai took out a black card and handed it to Tian Tian,

"Go process the contract."

Tian Tian took a deep breath.

"Okay, okay! Please wait a moment, I'll go get the contract!"

She turned and ran off, but after two steps she stopped, looked back at Su Bai, and smiled until her eyes curved.

"Mr. Su, you are just so cool!!"
