151: Chapter 150 Oda, who filed the complaint

Li Longyu paused for a moment.

She turned her head and looked at Su Bai.

Su Bai was leaning against the wall, his hands in his pockets, his expression very calm.

"You decide for yourself," he said.

Li Longyu turned back and looked at Shen Tian.

Shen Tian was looking at her, a hint of a smile on her lips. That smile held encouragement, expectation, and a sense of "you deserve better."

Li Longyu bit her lip, lowered her head, and looked at the canvas bag in her hands.

The cat on the bag was staring at her with wide eyes, as if waiting for her answer.

She took a deep breath and looked up.

"I… will think about it."

Shen Tian smiled.

"Alright, no rush."

She walked back behind her desk, took a business card out of the drawer, and handed it to Li Longyu.

"This is my business card. Call me when you've made up your mind."

Li Longyu took the card, looked at it, and put it in her pocket.

Su Bai straightened up.

"Then she can stay at the front desk for today."

Shen Tian nodded and pressed the intercom on her desk.

"Xiao Zhou, come here for a moment."

After a while, the Round-faced girl from the front desk pushed the door open and came in.

Shen Tian pointed at Li Longyu.

"Take her to the front desk and show her the ropes."

The Round-faced girl nodded, walked up to Li Longyu, and said with a smile,

"Come with me."

Li Longyu followed her out. When she reached the door, she stopped and looked back at Su Bai.

Su Bai nodded at her.

Li Longyu nodded back, pushed the door open, and went out.

The door closed.

Shen Tian leaned back in her chair, looking at Su Bai.

"President Su, is your classmate really only going to work at the front desk?"

Su Bai looked at her. "What's wrong?"

Shen Tian smiled.

"Nothing, just feel that if we signed this girl and packaged her properly, she could be a star."

Su Bai didn't speak.

Shen Tian didn't say anything more either.

She opened the file on her desk and continued reading.

Su Bai stood by the window, looking downstairs.

Li Longyu followed the Round-faced girl out of the lobby and to the front desk.

The Round-faced girl was saying something to her; she listened, nodded, picked up the registration form on the desk, looked at it, and put it down.

Sunlight streamed in from the floor-to-ceiling windows, falling on her, and her white shirt shimmered in the light.

She stood there with her back straight, like a newly planted sapling.

— —

After settling Li Longyu in, Su Bai didn't leave immediately. Since he was already here, he might as well take a look around.

He walked down the corridor, passing the artist lounge, the dressing room, and the recording studio. A few staff members saw him, stopped, bowed slightly, and called out "President Su." He nodded and kept walking.

At the end of the corridor was a glass door leading to the parking lot. Just as he was about to push the door open, a figure rushed out from around the corner and slammed into his chest.

The person was small, and her head hit his chest, causing her to stagger back a step, almost falling.

Su Bai reached out to hold her shoulders and steady her. She winced in pain, clutching her head, and before she even opened her eyes, she started speaking, "Ah, sorry, sorry — —"

Su Bai looked down at her and smiled. "What are you in such a rush for?"

Hearing the familiar voice, Tian Xiwei suddenly looked up. Her eyes widened, her mouth hung open, and she forgot to close it. She froze for two seconds, and then the expression on her face changed from surprise to delight, and from delight to excitement, like a flower suddenly blooming in the sunlight.

"Big Boss! Are you here to inspect the company?"

Su Bai shook his head with a smile. "Just looking around."

He looked at the costume she was wearing — a light blue ancient-style dress. Her hair was still done up with a few hairpins, her makeup hadn't been removed, her eyeliner was drawn long, and her lips were painted a pale pink.

"How is it? Have things been going smoothly lately?"

Tian Xiwei pouted. The movement was quick, but Su Bai saw it. A hint of hesitation flashed in her eyes, and the corners of her mouth turned down before quickly pulling back up.

"Um… it's… it's alright."

Su Bai frowned.

"What's wrong? Are you having some trouble?"

Tian Xiwei lowered her head, her fingers twisting the cuffs of her costume. The cuffs were made of gauze and were now crumpled by her twisting. She bit her lip, looked up, lowered her head again, and then looked up once more.

"Actually… I was in a rush just now because I was going to report something to President Shen."

Su Bai looked at her.

"What is it? You can just tell me directly."

Tian Xiwei gritted her teeth and took a deep breath, as if she had made a major decision.

"Alright! It's filing a complaint anyway, it's the same no matter who I tell."

Su Bai paused for a moment and then smiled.

"Filing a complaint?"

Tian Xiwei nodded vigorously, her two buns bobbing on her head.

"Yes! In the new group I joined, there's an Assistant Director who is always touching me." Her voice grew quieter, but every word was clear.

"After filming today, he even messaged me asking me out for a late-night snack, and told me to come to his hotel, saying he would help me with my acting."

Upon hearing this, the smile on Su Bai's face vanished.

He looked at Tian Xiwei. Tian Xiwei was looking down, her fingers still twisting the cuff, twisting it so hard that the gauze was about to tear. Her face was flushed, whether from anger or embarrassment, it was hard to tell.

"Do you have proof?" Su Bai asked.

Tian Xiwei looked up, took out her phone, scrolled a few times, and handed it to Su Bai. On the screen was a chat record. The other party had sent several messages. Su Bai read from beginning to end, his expression growing darker. He returned the phone to Tian Xiwei, then reached out and grabbed her wrist.

"Come on, go with me to Shen Tian's office."

Tian Xiwei was pulled forward by him, looking down at her held hand, her face blushing.

Su Bai's hand was large and warm, holding her wrist, not too tight or too loose, just right. Her heart was beating fast, so fast it felt like it was about to jump out of her chest.

She kept her head down, watching Su Bai's back, his shoulders, the back of his head, and a tuft of hair sticking up on the back of his head. The corners of her mouth curled up, but she quickly pulled them back.

Su Bai pushed open the door to Shen Tian's office and walked in. Shen Tian was reading a document. She looked up and saw Su Bai pulling Tian Xiwei in, and her brow furrowed.

"What's wrong?"

Su Bai released Tian Xiwei's wrist and sat on the sofa. Tian Xiwei stood to the side, looking down, her fingers still twisting her cuff.

"She says an Assistant Director is harassing her," Su Bai said, "and she has proof."

Shen Tian put down her pen, leaned back in her chair, and looked at Tian Xiwei. "Give me your phone."

Tian Xiwei handed over the phone. Shen Tian took it and scrolled through the chat records. Her expression changed from calm to dark. After reading, she placed the phone on the desk, tapped her fingers on the desk twice, and then slammed her hand on the desk.

With a "bang," the pen on the desk jumped, and Tian Xiwei jumped too.

"Wait!"

"I'll handle this right now!"

Shen Tian picked up the phone on her desk and dialed a number.

"President Li, that Assistant Director in your group, yes, that one, remove him. Remove him immediately, replace him. The reason? You ask him what he did."

She hung up the phone and dialed another one.

"President Wang, that Assistant Director from your company, yes, from now on, he won't be used for our company's projects. Other companies? I can't control that, but I will let others in the industry know."

She hung up the phone again, placed it on the desk, and looked at Tian Xiwei.

"Alright, he has been removed, and the new Assistant Director will arrive tomorrow."
