64: Chapter 64 Lin Qiaoyou, soft-hearted and easy to bully

After a dozen minutes, the luggage was packed.

Three large suitcases, two backpacks, and several tote bags.

Seeing this, Su Bai picked up the car keys.

"I'll drive you to the train station."

Luo Ying was stunned, "You have a car?"

"Yeah."

"Then... sorry for the trouble."

Several people went downstairs and, upon seeing that cool black panamera, Luo Ying's eyes widened.

"This is your car?"

Su Bai nodded.

Luo Ying opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but in the end, she just opened the car door and sat inside.

The journey was silent.

The train station was packed with people, all carrying bags of various sizes, heading home for winter break.

Su Bai parked the car in the drop-off zone and helped them get their luggage down.

Chu Yi was the last one to get out of the car.

She stood in front of the car door, looking at Su Bai.

"Su Bai."

"Yeah?"

"See you after the New Year!"

She waved her hand and turned to run into the station.

Chu Xiang followed behind her; when she passed by Su Bai, her footsteps paused.

"Be careful on the road," she said softly.

Su Bai nodded.

Chu Xiang didn't say anything else and hurried to catch up.

Luo Ying was the last one.

She stood in front of Su Bai, looking at him with a complex gaze.

"For the New Year... your uncle and aunt aren't coming back, so you'll be alone?"

Su Bai nodded.

Luo Ying hesitated for a moment.

"How about... you come to my place for the New Year?"

Su Bai was stunned for a moment.

"No need," he said, "I'm fine on my own."

Luo Ying looked at him, and after a few seconds, she sighed.

"Then take care of yourself."

"Yeah."

Luo Ying turned and walked into the station; after a few steps, she turned back to look at him again.

Su Bai stood in place and waved at her.

Luo Ying nodded and disappeared into the crowd.

Su Bai returned to the car and started the engine.

It was very quiet inside the car, with only the low rumble of the engine.

He glanced at the rearview mirror; the back seat was empty, with only a few empty mineral water bottles left.

He stepped on the gas, and the car drove out of the parking lot, merging into the traffic.

Returning home, he pushed open the door, and the living room was extremely quiet.

Only Lin Qiaoyou was left.

She was standing in the kitchen, back to the door, not sure what she was busy with.

The stove was bubbling with steam, and a fragrant scent drifted over.

Su Bai changed his shoes and walked over.

"Sister Qiaoyou."

Lin Qiaoyou's body stiffened, and she slowly turned her head.

Seeing that it was him, her face flushed slightly.

"You, you're back..."

"Yeah." Su Bai walked to the kitchen doorway, "Where is Sister Qian?"

"She went to tutor," Lin Qiaoyou said softly, "She didn't leave long ago."

Su Bai nodded, looking at her.

Lin Qiaoyou was wearing a loose white shirt with black yoga pants underneath.

A floral apron was tied around her waist, with the strings tied into a bow behind her.

The apron strings accentuated her slender waist, while the yoga pants tightly wrapped around her lower body, outlining her full curves.

A standard pear-shaped figure, still the ceiling of slightly plump!

This term jumped into Su Bai's mind again.

"I'm hungry too," he said naturally, "Help me cook two packs as well."

Lin Qiaoyou was stunned for a moment, then nodded obediently.

"Okay."

She turned around and continued cooking the noodles.

Su Bai didn't leave.

The more obedient Lin Qiaoyou was, the itchier he felt in his heart, like a cat scratching it.

He wanted to bully her.

Su Bai took a step forward and stood behind her.

Very close.

Almost pressed against her.

Lin Qiaoyou's body instantly tensed up.

Her hand holding the chopsticks trembled a little as she stirred the noodles in the pot; her movements were clearly not as natural as before.

Su Bai lowered his head and said in her ear, "Sister Qiaoyou, don't forget to add two eggs for me."

His breath sprayed onto her ear, warm and hot.

Lin Qiaoyou's body shuddered violently, and the spatula almost fell into the pot.

She stiffly moved forward a little, wanting to create some distance.

"I, I know..." her voice trembled a little.

Su Bai didn't move away.

Instead, he leaned closer, stretched out his arm, reached under her armpit, and reached for the scallions on the stove.

This posture was just like him hugging her from behind.

Lin Qiaoyou's body completely froze.

She could feel his chest pressed against her back, could feel his arm circling her body, and could feel his breath right by her ear.

Her face flushed red instantly, turning red down to the roots of her neck.

Su Bai pinched a handful of scallions and sprinkled them into the pot.

"Put in more scallions," he said, his tone very natural, "I love eating them."

Lin Qiaoyou's legs began to go weak.

She wanted to escape.

She took a deep breath, gathered her courage, and wanted to turn around to break free—

Just at this moment, Su Bai reached out his other hand and held the pot handle.

"Be careful, Sister Qiaoyou," he said lightly, "You almost knocked the pot over."

Lin Qiaoyou's struggle was neutralized by this action of his.

She was trapped in his embrace, unable to move.

The stove was right in front of them, and the noodles in the pot were still bubbling.

He let go and took a step back.

"Let me cook it," he said, his tone returning to normal.

"Uh, okay."

Lin Qiaoyou acted as if granted amnesty, rushing out of the kitchen as if fleeing.

Her face was flushed like a fire, and her heartbeat was so fast it felt like it was going to jump out of her chest.

She ran back to her room and slammed the door shut with a "bang."

Su Bai stood in the kitchen, looking at the closed door, the corners of his mouth slightly lifted.

He picked up the pot and served the noodles into two bowls.

Ten minutes later, he carried two bowls of noodles to Lin Qiaoyou's door.

Just as he was about to knock, he heard a faint sound coming from inside the room.

"Buzz, buzz, buzz—"

Su Bai's hand stopped in mid-air.

He tilted his ear to listen.

The sound was very light but very rhythmic.

The corners of Su Bai's mouth slowly curled into an arc.

He knocked on the door.

"Sister Qiaoyou, come out to eat."

The sound inside stopped abruptly.

Then came a flurry of panicked movements, as if something had been hidden away.

"Don't, don't come in!" Lin Qiaoyou's voice carried panic, "I, I won't eat!"

Su Bai stood outside the door, holding back his laughter.

"You'll be hungry if you don't eat."

"I'm not hungry!"

"Really?"

"Really!"

Su Bai was silent for two seconds.

"Then I'll leave the noodles on the dining table; come out and eat when you're hungry."

"Okay... thank you."

He didn't knock again and turned back to the dining table.

He sat down and started eating the noodles.

Eleven o'clock at night.

Su Bai sat on the sofa, scrolling through his phone in boredom.

The living room was very quiet, with only the occasional faint sound from the heater fan.

Lin Qiaoyou's door was tightly closed, and the two bowls of noodles were still on the dining table; he had already finished one bowl.

The other bowl was sitting there untouched, the noodles having already clumped together.

Song Qian hadn't returned yet.

Su Bai checked the time: 11:07.

Does tutoring go on this late?

Just as he was thinking this, the sound of the door lock turning rang out.

Song Qian pushed the door open and came in.

She was wearing that gray coat, the collar turned up, covering half her chin.

Underneath was a black turtleneck sweater, her hair let down, a few stray strands blown somewhat messy by the wind.

Her face showed obvious fatigue, and the dark circles under her eyes were heavier than in the morning.

Seeing Su Bai, she was stunned for a moment.

"You haven't slept yet?"

Just as Su Bai was about to answer, her phone rang.

Song Qian took out her phone and glanced at it, her brow instantly furrowing.

She didn't answer immediately, but looked at Su Bai and waved her hand apologetically.

Then she hurried to the balcony, pushed open the door, walked in, and closed the glass door.

"Hello?"

The voice came in through the glass door, becoming muffled.

Su Bai leaned back on the sofa, looking toward the balcony.

A floor lamp was lit on the balcony, its dim yellow glow enveloping that slender figure.

Song Qian stood by the railing, back to the living room, one hand holding her phone, the other hand unconsciously tugging at the hem of her coat.

Her voice drifted in, intermittent.

"What... he lost again? How could you still let him go out and gamble?!"

"How much?"

"Thirty thousand?!"

"I just paid back eight thousand for him last month!"
