142: Chapter 141 Let's Get Excited
Su Bai looked at her for a long time.
Then he lowered his head and kissed her.
Chu Yi closed her eyes.
Her lips were soft and cool, carrying the minty scent of toothpaste.
She didn't know how to kiss; her lips were pressed tightly together, and her body was as stiff as a board.
Su Bai wasn't in a rush; he pressed his lips against hers, rubbing gently and slowly.
Her lips slowly relaxed and parted slightly.
Su Bai's hand moved up from her waist to wrap around her back, pulling her closer.
Her body pressed against his—soft, warm, and carrying the strawberry scent of body wash.
The computer was still on. The end credits had finished rolling, and the screen had turned blue. The blue light shone on them, enveloping them in a cold, quiet glow.
Moonlight leaked through the gap in the curtains, drawing a silvery-white line on the bedsheets.
The night breeze squeezed in through the gap in the window, causing the curtains to flutter gently.
Su Bai's hand moved away from Chu Yi's back, and he gently pushed her away.
Chu Yi opened her eyes and looked at him.
Her eyes were glistening, her lips were slightly swollen, and her face was flushed.
Su Bai reached out and tucked a strand of loose hair behind her ear.
"It's time to go back."
Chu Yi looked at him for a few seconds, then nodded.
She pulled away from his embrace and got off the bed.
Her feet stepped onto the carpet, toes curled, painted with pale pink nail polish.
She closed the computer, held it in her arms, and walked to the door.
Opening the door, she looked back at him.
Moonlight shone in through the window and fell on her face; her eyes were bright, and her lips were slightly upturned.
"Su Bai," she called him.
"Hmm."
"Good night."
"Good night."
Chu Yi walked out.
The door closed.
Su Bai sat on the edge of the bed, listening to her footsteps fade away, followed by the sound of a door closing.
The room fell silent.
Su Bai lay down and looked at the ceiling.
The streak of moonlight was still on the ceiling, a thin white line extending from the gap in the curtains all the way to the wall.
He reached up and touched his lips.
They still held the warmth of Chu Yi's lips—cool, soft, and carrying the minty scent of toothpaste and the sweet fragrance of strawberry body wash.
He turned over and buried his face in the pillow.

The next day, when Su Bai arrived at the classroom for school, Mu Qing was already sitting in her seat.
Seeing him enter, she pouted, looking unhappy.
Su Bai walked over and sat down next to her. She didn't look at him, pretending to read a book, but she was holding it upside down.
Su Bai didn't say anything and opened his textbook.
Mu Qing waited for a while, but when he didn't speak, she couldn't help herself.
Mu Qing's lips were still pouted; her eyes held grievance, unhappiness, and a hint of coquettishness.
"Su Bai, you haven't come to see me for a long time."
Su Bai thought about it.
It had indeed been a few days since he had seen her.
After returning from Hainan, he had been busy with this and that, and hadn't gotten around to it after school started.
He looked at Mu Qing's unhappy face, leaned in a little closer, and lowered his voice.
"Do you want to play something thrilling?"
Mu Qing's eyes immediately lit up, and the grievance and unhappiness vanished instantly, like smoke blown away by the wind.
She leaned in, her eyes sparkling, and lowered her voice as well,
"What kind of thrilling thing?"
Su Bai smiled, looking mysterious,
"Wait for me after school."
Mu Qing nodded vigorously, her ponytail swinging behind her head.
She turned back to continue reading. This time the book wasn't upside down, but she couldn't take in a single word.
After school, Su Bai packed his bag, and Mu Qing followed suit.
The two of them walked out of the classroom one after the other. They walked down the stairs, but instead of heading towards the school gate, they headed upstairs.
As they went up floor by floor, there were fewer and fewer people.
By the time they reached the fifth floor, there was almost no one around.
The door to the rooftop was locked, but Su Bai had scouted the location beforehand and knew that they could climb through the window next to it.
He pushed open the window, climbed out, and reached out to Mu Qing.
Mu Qing gave him her hand, and he took it and pulled her over.
The rooftop was large and empty. The ground was concrete, with moss growing in some places.
There were no railings around the edges, and the wind was strong, blowing Mu Qing's hair everywhere.
In the distance was the outline of the city; the tall and short buildings turned into a golden silhouette in the sunset.
Further away were the mountains, hazy and blending into the sky.
Mu Qing stood there, looking at the sky. The wind blew her school uniform, her skirt fluttering in the breeze, outlining her full figure.
She turned her head to look at Su Bai. Her eyes held the light of the sunset, the wind, and him.
"Is this what you meant by something thrilling?"
Su Bai walked over and stood beside her,
"Not thrilling enough?"
Mu Qing smiled.
Her smile held nervousness, anticipation, and a little bit of fear.
She glanced toward the parapet—below was the sports field, where a few people were running.
She flinched and subconsciously took a step back.
Su Bai reached out and wrapped his arm around her waist.
Mu Qing's body tensed up for a moment, then slowly relaxed.
She leaned against him, burying her face in his neck. The wind blew her hair, brushing against his chin.
"Su Bai," her voice was muffled.
"Hmm."
"Will anyone see us?"
Su Bai looked down at the floor below.
The people on the sports field were still running; no one was looking up.
"No."
Mu Qing looked up into his eyes.
The sunset shattered into golden light in her eyes.
She stood on tiptoes.
Her lips were soft and warm, carrying a hint of sweetness.
The wind passed between them, carrying the warmth of the sunset and the scent of cooking smoke from afar.
Her skirt fluttered in the wind, and Su Bai held it down with his hand. Mu Qing buried her face in his neck, not daring to look down.
"Are you cold?" Su Bai asked.
Mu Qing shook her head.
Her face was scorching hot, pressed against his neck like a piece of red-hot iron. Her fingers gripped his school uniform, clutching it until her knuckles turned white.
"Are you scared?" Su Bai asked again.
Mu Qing thought for a moment.
"A little," she paused, "but it's very thrilling."
Su Bai smiled.
He knew it; Mu Qing would definitely like this kind of vibe.
The sunset slowly sank. The people running on the sports field had already left. The entire school quieted down, with only the sound of the wind and their soft breathing.
Su Bai leaned against the parapet, with Mu Qing in his arms.
Her skirt was blown up by the wind, but she didn't care. She just leaned against him, watching the stars in the sky light up one by one.
When the wind died down a little, it was completely dark outside.
The city lights in the distance flickered in the darkness, like a flowing river of stars.
Mu Qing yawned and rubbed her eyes.
"I'm tired."
Su Bai stroked her hair,
"Let's go."
He climbed back through the window first, then reached out to help her.
Mu Qing jumped down. Her legs went weak when she landed, and she had to hold onto his arm to steady herself.
She straightened her school uniform, buttoned it up, smoothed down her skirt, and used her fingers to comb through her wind-tousled hair.
"Can I be seen like this?"
Su Bai looked at her,
"Of course you can."
Mu Qing smiled and took his arm,
"Then let's go."
The two of them walked down the stairs.
The corridor was very dark; the voice-activated lights were broken, and only the moonlight shining through the window illuminated their path.
Mu Qing walked very slowly, her gait a bit strange.
Su Bai slowed his pace to accompany her. When they reached the third floor, Mu Qing stopped, leaned against the wall, and caught her breath.
"My legs are weak..."
Su Bai looked at her. "Do you want me to carry you on my back?"
Mu Qing shook her head and smiled.
"No need, I can walk myself." She took a deep breath, straightened up, and continued walking down.
When they walked out of the teaching building, the campus was already empty. The security guard was sitting in the guard room. Seeing them come out, he glanced at them, shook his head, didn't say anything, and lowered his head to continue looking at his phone.
