152: Chapter 151 Mr. Su, have you ever slept with a female celebrity?
Tian Xiwei stood there, her mouth agape, eyes wide open. She looked at Shen Tian, then at Su Bai, and then back at Shen Tian.
"I... did I cause you any trouble?" Her voice was very soft.
Shen Tian leaned back against her chair, looking at her with a serious expression.
"Tian Xiwei, listen to me."
Tian Xiwei straightened up.
Shen Tian said, enunciating every word:
"Entering this industry, you really should prepare yourself mentally. The water in this industry is very deep, and there are all kinds of people, but here with us, especially internally, such things are absolutely not allowed to happen!"
Su Bai nodded. "That's right, don't put too much pressure on yourself."
Tian Xiwei looked at Su Bai, then at Shen Tian. Her eyes were red, but she didn't shed any tears. She took a deep breath and nodded vigorously.
"Thank you, President Su. Thank you, President Shen."
Shen Tian waved her hand. "Go on, focus on filming."
Tian Xiwei bowed, turned around, and walked out. When she reached the door, she stopped, looked back at Su Bai, then pushed the door open and left.
The door closed.
Su Bai leaned back on the sofa, looking at Shen Tian. "You handled that pretty quickly."
Shen Tian looked at him. "You can't drag these things out. For every day it's delayed, the young girl suffers for another day."
She paused, her voice lowering slightly. "In this industry, these things happen too often. You can't manage them all, but when you do come across them, you have to deal with them."
Su Bai nodded and stood up. "Alright, I'm leaving."
Shen Tian also stood up. "I'll see you out."
Su Bai waved his hand and pushed the door open himself to leave.
The corridor was very quiet; there wasn't a sound when stepping on the carpet.
Su Bai took two steps and saw a figure standing at the corner of the corridor. Tian Xiwei was leaning against the wall, clutching her phone, head lowered, wondering what she was thinking about.
Hearing footsteps, she looked up, saw Su Bai, and her eyes lit up.
"Why haven't you left yet?" Su Bai asked.
"I... I was waiting for you."
Su Bai looked at her. "What is it? Is there something else?"
Tian Xiwei lowered her head, looking at the tips of her shoes. Her toes curled inside her shoes and then relaxed. She took a deep breath, looked up at Su Bai, her face flushed red, her eyes bright, and her lips pursed.
"President Su, you helped me so much today. I think... I should treat you to a meal."
Su Bai looked at her and smiled. "It seems I have more face than that Assistant Director."
Tian Xiwei's face turned even redder. She lowered her head, her voice as soft as a mosquito's hum.
"That... that's different."

When the two of them went out, Li Longyu was already at the front desk.
She was sitting behind the front desk, with a registration form and a computer in front of her, watching the Round-faced girl teach her how to operate something.
Hearing footsteps, she looked up and saw Su Bai walking out of the corridor, followed by a girl wearing a light blue ancient-style dress.
The girl was not tall, with a round face and two bun hairstyles, looking very cute.
Li Longyu's eyes flickered, but she quickly lowered them again, staring at the computer screen, though her fingers didn't move.
The Round-faced girl beside her also saw them. With a look of envy, she leaned into Li Longyu's ear, her voice very low.
"Little Tian is so lucky to be able to go out to eat alone with the big boss."
Li Longyu's fingers paused on the mouse.
"Is... the big boss very powerful?"
The Round-faced girl's eyes widened as if she had heard an incredible question.
"Of course! Our entertainment company is just a small subsidiary under him. He has deep pockets, didn't you know?"
Li Longyu didn't speak.
The Round-faced girl continued, her voice even lower, so low that only Li Longyu could hear.
"And he's so handsome, broad shoulders and a narrow waist. You can tell at a glance that he has great stamina."
After she finished speaking, she laughed to herself, then leaned in and told a couple of dirty jokes.
Li Longyu's face flushed red instantly.
She remembered what she had seen in the small woods that day, Su Bai and Mu Qing. The scene emerged again, like bubbles under water, unstoppable, popping up one by one.
Her fingers gripped the mouse until her knuckles turned white. She stared at the computer screen, but couldn't see anything.
The Round-faced girl was still laughing, not noticing her expression.

Tian Xiwei took Su Bai to a Yangzhou restaurant in a quiet alley. The storefront wasn't big, but the decor was exquisite.
Wooden doors, bamboo curtains, blue brick floors, and a few ink paintings hanging on the walls.
A waitress in a qipao led them into a small private room.
The room was not big, with a square table and two chairs. The window was open, and one could see the bamboo outside.
Tian Xiwei handed the menu to Su Bai. "President Su, you order."
Su Bai took it, flipped through two pages, and ordered a few dishes—steamed crab meat lion's head, boiled shredded dried tofu, squirrel-shaped mandarin fish, and Yangzhou fried rice.
Tian Xiwei listened from the side. After he finished speaking, she added two more dishes and a bowl of soup.
The waitress went out, and the door closed.
Tian Xiwei sat opposite Su Bai, her hands on the table, her fingers drawing circles on the tablecloth.
She hadn't changed out of her costume yet—a light blue ancient-style dress, her hair in a bun with a few hairpins, and her makeup still on.
Those eyes with long eyeliner looked at Su Bai, blinking twice, and she asked with a gossip-filled expression,
"President Su, as such a big boss, have you ever slept with a female celebrity?"
Her voice wasn't loud, but it carried a kind of gossipy excitement, like a cat that had smelled fish.
Su Bai looked at her and smiled. "Of course."
Tian Xiwei's eyes widened even further, her mouth agape. She covered her little mouth with her hand, leaning forward, her head almost reaching across the table.
The tassels on her hairpins hung down, sweeping across the tabletop.
"Who?" Her voice was very low, so low it was like she was telling some shameful secret.
Su Bai leaned back against the chair, looking at her.
Her face was very close to his, close enough for him to smell the fragrance on her—not perfume, but the scent of cosmetics, foundation, blush, and eyeshadow mixed together, sweet.
"How could I tell you something like that?" Su Bai said.
Tian Xiwei pouted and sat back, but her eyes were still darting around. She turned them, then leaned forward again.
"Then... how are the female celebrities you've slept with doing now?"
Su Bai thought for a moment. "Hmm... not bad, they just became A-list celebrities, that's all."
Tian Xiwei covered her mouth again.
This time her eyes widened even more than before. Her mouth was open, covered by her hand, and she could only make muffled "mm-mm" sounds.
She looked at Su Bai for several seconds, then lowered her hand, her voice still a bit shaky.
"Really? Are you that effective?"
Su Bai smiled. "Of course. Do you want to try?"
Tian Xiwei's face turned red.
She sat back, lowered her head, and her fingers drew circles on the tablecloth, drawing them faster and faster, the circles getting smaller and smaller.
Su Bai looked at her, and after a while, smiled. "You aren't actually considering it, are you?"
Tian Xiwei's little face flushed, and she looked up abruptly. "Who, who's considering it!" Her voice was loud, so loud she startled herself, and she quickly lowered her voice. "I was just thinking... thinking..."
Su Bai looked at her with a smile on his lips.
Tian Xiwei lowered her head, then secretly looked up, glanced at him, and lowered it again.
Her fingers drew a circle on the tablecloth, then another. "Can you really become an A-list star?" Her voice was as soft as a mosquito's hum.
Su Bai leaned back against the chair. "What? Do you have so little confidence in yourself?"
Tian Xiwei shook her head, the tassels on her two hairpins swaying along with her. "That's A-list, I don't dare to think about it."
Su Bai looked at her. "It's nothing more than resources. As long as the resources are good, I can push you to A-list in a year."
Tian Xiwei's eyes lit up.
