84: Chapter 84 Princess's Cottage, Cosplayer's Paradise!

Su Bai followed Xin Yaoqiao into her villa.

The moment he pushed open the door, he thought he had walked into the wrong place.

Outside was a minimalist and grand New Chinese-style building, but inside was an entirely different world.

The living room walls were painted light pink, accented with white French-style molding, and a crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling.

The sofa was creamy white, piled high with various cartoon pillows—rabbits, bears, and kittens—stacked like a small hill.

The coffee table was a white round table with golden legs, covered with a pink tablecloth with tassels hanging from the edges.

On the TV cabinet sat several photo frames containing portraits of Xin Yaoqiao.

In one, she was wearing a Lolita dress; in another, she was wearing cat ears; or she was dressed in a JK uniform.

The entire living room, from the ceiling to the floor, from the furniture to the decorations, was in a girly princess style.

Su Bai stood at the entrance, silent for a second.

Xin Yaoqiao had already kicked off her slippers, stepping barefoot onto the carpet, and turned back to look at him.

"Come in, why are you just standing there?"

Su Bai changed his shoes and walked inside.

The sofa was very soft; once you sank into it, you wouldn't want to get up.

Xin Yaoqiao ran toward the kitchen with a "tap, tap, tap" sound, her slippers making crisp noises against the floor.

Soon, she came back carrying a glass of cola and placed it in front of him, water droplets still clinging to the glass walls.

"Drink up." She sat down next to him, crossed her legs, and hugged a rabbit pillow.

Su Bai took a sip.

It was iced and very sweet.

He put down the glass, looked around the living room, and then looked at her.

"Aren't you going to take me for a tour?"

Xin Yaoqiao tilted her head to look at him.

"In such a rush?"

Su Bai leaned back on the sofa with a calm expression.

"Didn't you say there was a very interesting room? Of course, I'm mainly here to get inspiration for your home's decor."

Xin Yaoqiao blinked, the corners of her mouth slowly curving into a sly arc.

"Do you really like my style?"

Su Bai coughed dryly.

"Well, one has to learn from the best of all worlds; you have to see all kinds of styles."

Xin Yaoqiao laughed and stood up.

"Fine, I'll take you on a tour."

She took him around, starting from the first floor.

The kitchen was large but clearly rarely used; the stove was so clean you could see your reflection in it, and the refrigerator was stuffed with drinks and snacks.

There wasn't much to see on the first floor.

The second floor contained the guest rooms and the study.

There were two guest rooms, both decorated very simply.

The study, however, was quite large; one wall was entirely made of bookshelves, filled with all kinds of books.

Mainly manga, novels, and magazines, with a tiny bit of serious literature.

There was a computer on the desk, and next to it stood a figurine of a character from some anime.

"Do you usually study here?" Su Bai asked.

Xin Yaoqiao nodded.

"Are you kidding? When have I ever studied!"

Su Bai glanced at the stack of brand-new textbooks on the bookshelf and nodded in deep agreement.

"Indeed."

The third floor was the master bedroom.

Pushing open the door revealed a large bedroom, still in a girly style, but a bit more elegant than the living room.

The bed was huge, covered with white sheets, and the headboard was upholstered in pink.

Su Bai looked around.

"There's nothing interesting here either."

Xin Yaoqiao stood at the doorway with her hands behind her back, tilting her head to look at him.

"That kind of room,"

She blinked.

"Of course can't just be left out in the open."

Su Bai raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?"

Xin Yaoqiao lowered her voice and said mysteriously,

"It's in the basement."

She pulled him over to the elevator entrance.

The villa was equipped with an elevator, which was very small and could hold at most six people.

Xin Yaoqiao pressed the button for the basement level; the elevator doors closed, and it slowly descended.

When the elevator doors opened again, Su Bai saw an entirely different world!

The basement wasn't decorated as a recreation room; there was no home theater, Gym, wine cellar, etc.

The entire floor was all hers!

The room was huge, at least 170 or 180 square meters.

The lighting was warm yellow, shining against the walls, creating a dreamy feeling.

The most shocking part was the walls.

All four walls were hung with different things!

The first wall was hung with various cosplay costumes and props.

He recognized a few sets: Asuna's white battle gown from Sword Art Online, the pink battle suit from Cardcaptor Sakura, and several others he didn't recognize, but all were exquisitely made with detailed craftsmanship.

Next to them hung the matching props—swords, blades, staves, and magic wands, all arranged neatly like in a museum display case.

The second wall was hung with various little dresses.

Lolita dresses, JK uniforms, Hanfu, and Western-style dresses, all colorful and layered.

The third wall was hung with various accessories.

Cat ears, rabbit ears, fox tails, headbands, hair clips, veils, masks, gloves, collars... row upon row, densely packed.

The cat ears were fluffy and cute, and the fox tails were soft and plush, ranging in color from white to red to gray, hanging in a row on a stainless steel rack.

There were also a few pairs of demon horns, black and curved, looking very cool.

The fourth wall—

Su Bai's gaze landed on the fourth wall, and he was completely stunned.

Pantyhose!

It was all pantyhose!

An entire wall, from top to bottom, from left to right, was covered in pantyhose.

Black stockings, white stockings, nude-colored stockings...

Suspender stockings, pantyhose, thigh-highs... every pair was folded neatly and hung on specialized hooks.

An entire wall.

Hundreds of them!

Su Bai stood there, staring at the wall, stunned.

It was his first time seeing something with such visual impact!

Xin Yaoqiao stood beside him, hands on her hips, looking smug.

"How about that? Impressive, right?!"

Su Bai turned his head and looked at her, saying,

"I didn't expect you to be a coser."

Xin Yaoqiao smiled.

"Of course, I'm a professional!"

Su Bai walked over and looked at those clothes.

The craftsmanship was indeed excellent; they weren't the cheap goods bought online, but rather each piece was carefully customized.

Xin Yaoqiao walked over to the accessory wall again, picked up a pair of cat ears, and put them on her head.

"Meow~"

She turned back to look at Su Bai and blinked.

"Cute, right?"

Su Bai looked at the cat ears and her exquisite little face, then nodded and said,

"Quite cute."

Xin Yaoqiao laughed, took off the cat ears, and hung them back up.

Then she walked to the pantyhose wall, her fingers gently brushing over the stockings as if caressing something precious.

"This pair is the thinnest, 5D; wearing them feels like wearing nothing at all." She pointed to a nearly transparent pair of black stockings.

"This pair has lace trim, which I especially like; I bought three pairs as backups."

She pointed to another one with a lace pattern on the edge.

"This pair is suspender stockings; they are troublesome to put on, but they look especially good."

She turned around to face him, hands behind her back, tilting her head.

"Do you want me to wear them for you to see?"

Su Bai looked at her.

Looking at the light in her fox-like eyes, the sly smile at the corners of her mouth, and the wall full of pantyhose behind her.

He swallowed saliva without leaving a trace.

"If you want me to help you match your outfits," he said solemnly, "I can help with that."

Xin Yaoqiao looked at him and laughed.

There was a sense of "I've already seen right through you" in that smile, but she didn't expose him.

"Fine," she said, "then you wait."

After saying that, she pulled the curtain shut.
