135: Chapter 134 Shen Tian in Line

Su Bai was speechless.

"What are you talking about?"

Shen Tian looked at him, her eyes glistening with moisture, reflecting the lights, and holding something else entirely.

"What's wrong? Does President Su look down on me?"

She took a step forward, standing right in front of him, so close that he could smell her fragrance—not perfume, but the scent of body wash, clean and slightly sweet.

Su Bai raised an eyebrow; she had clearly come over after scrubbing herself clean.

"Let me tell you, don't think that just because I'm a few years older than them, I'm any worse off. I take great care of myself, I'm not lacking in any way. If you don't believe me, look—"

She reached out to pull at the strap of her nightgown.

Su Bai hurriedly stopped her.

"Alright, alright, alright, I know."

Shen Tian's hand froze.

She looked at him, the light in her eyes dimming for a moment.

"But I see you as a buddy," Su Bai said.

Shen Tian lowered her head, looking at her toes.

Her toenails were painted a dark red, gleaming under the hallway lights.

After a few seconds of silence, she looked up at him.

"But I've been craving you for a long time." Her voice was very soft, light as the wind, but every word was clear.

Su Bai looked at her.

The hallway was very quiet, save for the buzzing of the air conditioning unit.

He glanced toward the end of the hallway—

A few small heads peeked out from around the corner, giggling, then ducked back.

Dao Dadao's, Yin Suwan's, and a few others he didn't recognize.

They were peeking.

Su Bai sighed and stepped aside.

"Come in first, let's talk inside."

Shen Tian walked in, and the door closed.

At the end of the hallway, the women huddled around the corner, looking at each other and covering their mouths to stifle their laughter.

"What do you think? Will President Shen succeed tonight?"

"Hehe, I don't see why not. But didn't Xiaodao just come out? Can the boss still handle it?"

Dao Dadao looked smug.

"Don't worry, he's fine."

Shen Tian closed the door, turned around, and faced Su Bai.

She didn't speak or move; she just stood there, looking at him.

Su Bai looked at her.

Her black silk nightgown shimmered slightly under the lights, the neckline cut low, revealing a glimpse of her collarbone and a stretch of white skin.

Her hair was let down, obscuring half her face and revealing only one eye. That eye was bright, holding the light, the moisture, and him.

"Shen Tian," he called her name.

"Yeah."

"Are you sure about this?"

Shen Tian didn't answer.

She walked over, stood in front of him, and stood on her tiptoes.

Her lips were soft and hot, carrying the sweet and astringent taste of red wine.

Her hands climbed onto his shoulders, her fingers interlacing into his hair and tightening.

Su Bai didn't push her away.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, which was slender; through the thin nightgown, he could feel the warmth of her skin.

Shen Tian buried her face in his neck, her lips brushing against his skin, her breathing rapid and hot.

"I've been thinking about this for years," her muffled voice came from against his neck.

Su Bai picked her up.

Shen Tian lay on the white sheets, her black hair spread out like ink spilling on rice paper.

The black nightgown spread out across the white sheets like a blooming flower.

She looked at Su Bai, her eyes filled with nervousness, anticipation, and something indescribable and soft.

Su Bai didn't hold back; he lowered his head.

Shen Tian closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his back.

That night was long.

Su Bai felt like a piece of iron being repeatedly forged—heated until red, hammered, quenched, and then heated red again.

Shen Tian was like a ball of fire, burning him until he was scorching hot all over.

She wasn't wild like Dao Dadao, not charming like Yin Suwan, not submissive like Song Qian, and not inexperienced like Mu Qing.

She was something else—mature, passionate, and filled with the suppressed madness of years of longing.

After it was over, Shen Tian lay on his chest, her fingers drawing circles on his abs.

Her hair was disheveled, spread across his arm, slippery like flowing water.

Her face was flushed, her eyes half-closed, her lips slightly swollen; she looked like a well-fed cat.

"Su Bai."

Shen Tian called him, not "President Su," but "Su Bai."

Her voice was very soft and gentle, like something from a dream.

"Hmm."

"I don't want to call you President Su anymore."

Su Bai looked down at her.

She didn't look up, her face buried in his chest, revealing only half of her face, her ears flushed red.

"Then what should you call me?"

Shen Tian thought for a moment.

"Su Bai, or… something else. I'll tell you once I've thought of it."

Her hand paused for a moment.

"Anyway, I'm not calling you President Su anymore. It sounds distant, like there's a barrier."

Su Bai didn't speak.

Shen Tian waited for a while, and when she didn't get an answer, she looked up at him.

He was staring at the ceiling, wondering what he was thinking about.

She watched him for a few seconds, then buried her face back in.

"If you don't say anything, I'll take that as a yes," her voice came out muffled.

Su Bai laughed.

His laughter rumbled from his chest, making her body, which was lying on top of him, tremble slightly.

Shen Tian punched him in the chest, not hard, just like a tickle.

"Don't laugh!"

She buried her face deeper, her ears turning completely red.

Su Bai stopped laughing and patted her back gently.

Shen Tian's breathing slowly became light and even; her fingers stopped drawing circles and just rested on his chest, motionless.

The sky outside the window was about to brighten.

The city lights were still on, one by one, like sleepy eyes.

Su Bai leaned against the headboard, looking out the window, feeling no sleepiness.

Shen Tian was fast asleep, her face buried in his neck, her hand resting on his chest, and her legs wrapped around his like an octopus.

He didn't move, letting her cling to him.

Dawn broke.

Sunlight squeezed through the gap in the curtains, drawing a golden line across the sheets.

Shen Tian rolled over, mumbled something, and went back to sleep.

The sleeping Shen Tian was no longer that President Shen.

She was more like a girl next door, with her own little bit of playfulness.

Su Bai gently removed her arm from his body and got out of bed.

He put on his clothes, walked to the door, and looked back.

Shen Tian was lying on the bed, her hair spread out on the pillow, black, creating a sharp contrast with the white pillow.

He opened the door and walked out.

The hallway was quiet, the carpet thick, making no sound when stepped on.

He entered the elevator and pressed the button for the first floor.

The elevator doors opened, and the lobby was empty; the noise of last night had dissipated, leaving only a few cleaners tidying up the aftermath.

Su Bai walked through the lobby and out the front door.

The morning breeze blew over, cool and comfortable on his face.

He stood at the entrance, looking at the gray sky, took a deep breath, and then slowly exhaled.

In the parking lot, his car was still parked there; the black jade panamera glimmered coldly in the morning light.

He walked over, opened the car door, sat inside, started the engine, and drove the car out of the villa area, merging into the morning traffic.

The morning fog in Jingzhou was heavy, and the streetlights were still on, their orange light softening in the mist.

He didn't drive fast, one hand on the steering wheel, the other resting on the gear shift.

Suddenly, his phone vibrated, and he glanced at it—

A message from Shen Tian, only two words:

"Bad guy."

He smiled, didn't reply, put the phone down, and continued driving.
