26: Chapter 26 The Spiritual Young Woman

The yellow-haired boy scrambled up, his face twisted with ferocity, and roared arrogantly, "Are you blind?! Didn't you see I was fighting?!"

Su Bai looked at him without a word.

"I'm asking you something! Answer me!" The yellow-haired boy stepped forward and threw a punch.

Su Bai frowned.

He dodged to the side, simultaneously lifting his foot and kicking the yellow-haired boy in the abdomen.

Clean and efficient!

The yellow-haired boy flew backward, crashing into the two rows of desks behind him, the legs of which emitted a harsh creaking sound.

He curled up on the ground, clutching his stomach and dry heaving, his face turning beet red.

The classroom went silent.

Those fighting stopped, the onlookers were stunned, and even the girl sitting on the desk with her legs crossed sat up straight.

Everyone's gaze fell upon Su Bai.

The girl with her legs crossed suddenly had her eyes light up.

So handsome!

He was even more handsome than the popular celebrity she currently idolized!

"Holy shit..."

"Who is this guy?"

"Kicked the yellow-haired boy flying with one kick? What kind of monster is he?"

"A transfer student? Haven't seen him before."

"He's so handsome?"

"..."

Su Bai ignored these gazes and continued walking toward his seat.

"Stop right there!"

The red-haired boy blocked him, with several other boys who had just been fighting standing behind him.

"You hit our guy, and you think you can just leave?"

Su Bai looked at him.

"He was the one who started it," he said calmly.

"So what?"

The red-haired boy sneered.

"This is the Class 20 exam room, and we call the shots! You're a newcomer, yet you dare to fight back? Don't you know the rules?!"

The few boys behind him crowded around, forming a semi-circle.

Su Bai glanced at them.

Five of them.

Their stances were loose, completely without structure, and they had no weapons.

Weaker than that group with Zhou Qing last time.

He sighed.

"Move."

"You tell us to move and we move? Who do you think you are—"

Before the red-haired boy could finish his sentence, Su Bai had already moved.

One step forward, twist the wrist, lift the knee, push the elbow!

Three movements, completed within a second!

The red-haired boy hadn't even realized what happened before he was subdued by Su Bai, his arm twisted behind his back, his knee bent, and he was forced to half-kneel on the ground.

"Ah! Ah! Ah! It hurts! It hurts! It hurts!" He screamed incessantly.

The few people nearby tried to come up to help, but Su Bai didn't even look back, kicking the one who rushed to the front away, then released the red-haired boy and turned to face the remaining three.

Su Bai usually learned some combat techniques from Long Wu and Long Qi; those two practiced lethal techniques, every move aimed at vital joints!

Thirty seconds later.

All five boys were lying on the ground.

One clutching his stomach, one baring his teeth while holding his arm, one curled into a ball.

Not a single one could stand up.

Su Bai clapped his hands and continued walking toward his seat.

This time, no one blocked him again.

He walked to the seat by the window in the last row, put his stationery bag on the desk, and sat down.

Outside the window, it was gloomy, and fine water droplets had condensed on the glass.

"Clap, clap, clap!"

Applause rang out from behind him.

Su Bai turned around.

The girl wearing fishnet stockings jumped down from the table, stomping in her Dr. Martens, walking toward him step by step.

Her face held a playful smile, and her eyes were shining.

"Not bad skills~"

"Handsome, shall we get to know each other?" She walked to Su Bai's desk and extended her hand. "I'm called Xin Yaoqiao, the big sister of Jingzhou No. 1 High School."

Su Bai looked at the hand she extended but did not shake it.

"The ones you hit," Xin Yaoqiao pointed at the boys lying scattered on the ground, "are all my underlings."

She jumped off the table, her boots making crisp sounds on the floor.

She cat-walked over, stopped in front of Su Bai, and looked him up and down.

She was even prettier up close.

Her features were as delicate as a doll's, her skin so pale it was almost transparent.

She was a head shorter than Su Bai, and when she tilted her face up to look at him, those eyes were startlingly bright.

Su Bai looked down at her extended hand and did not shake it.

"Big sister... are you going to stand up for them?"

"Of course not."

Xin Yaoqiao wasn't annoyed; she retracted her hand, crossed her arms, and tilted her head to examine Su Bai.

"Are you a new transfer student?"

Su Bai didn't answer.

"Which class are you in?"

Still no answer.

"What's your name?"

Su Bai finally spoke: "Classmate, the exam is about to start."

Xin Yaoqiao was stunned for a moment, then laughed.

That smile held a bit of surprise, a bit of interest, and a bit of novelty after being offended.

"Interesting." She nodded. "Fine, we'll talk after the exam."

She turned and walked back to her seat, which happened to be right in front of Su Bai.

After sitting down, she once again crossed her two legs, clad in fishnet stockings, and propped them up on the desk.

Those few beaten-up delinquent boys had already scrambled up from the ground, rubbing their injuries, their faces full of unwillingness.

Someone wanted to rush up, but was stopped by Xin Yaoqiao raising her hand.

"That's enough."

She said, her voice not loud, yet it made everyone quiet down, "This handsome guy is my friend now, so no one move, damn it."

The underlings looked at each other, stopping with faces full of unwillingness.

Wait, so are we still getting those stockings or not?!

Su Bai looked up at her.

Xin Yaoqiao winked at him and turned around, leaving a beautiful back view for Su Bai.

At this moment, the proctor pushed the door open and entered.

It was a middle-aged man in his forties, with thinning hair and thick glasses.

He walked into the classroom carrying a stack of test papers, glanced at the mess on the ground, then looked at the disheveled delinquent boys, his expression unchanged.

"Time for the exam."

His voice was incredibly flat, with no intention of dealing with this mess at all.

"Everyone back to your seats."

No one moved.

He said it again: "Back to your seats."

Still, no one moved.

The proctor sighed, placed the test papers on the podium, sat down on his chair, took out his phone, and started watching.

Su Bai: "..."

He finally understood.

The rules of this exam room were—no rules!

The teacher didn't care about these people at all!

Simply put, even if they were allowed to cheat, they wouldn't be able to do it properly!

The teacher couldn't be bothered to care, and the school couldn't be bothered either.

Anyway, these people would always be at the bottom of the rankings; a point more or less made no difference.

The exam began.

The Chinese test papers were handed out, and Su Bai picked up his pen to start answering.

He answered questions quickly, and in less than an hour, all the questions were completed.

He had also written over eight hundred words for the essay, with clear arguments, sufficient evidence, and a powerful conclusion.

He put down his pen and looked up.

Then he was stunned.

Xin Yaoqiao had turned around and was lying on the back of her chair, staring at him.

She was very close, close enough for Su Bai to see the curve of her eyelashes.

Those eyes were sparkling, as if she had discovered a new continent.

Su Bai rubbed his eyes.

Wasn't there an exam going on?

She turned around like this, and the proctor didn't care?

He looked at the podium.

The proctor was leaning back in his chair, holding his phone in front of his face, playing some variety show on the screen, and even wearing headphones.

He looked around again.

The yellow-haired boy was sleeping on the desk, drool even flowing out.

And the red-haired boy and two others next to him were actually playing Gomoku!

Using a chessboard drawn on scratch paper, they were playing with gusto.

A girl in the front row was looking in a mirror, and another was eating potato chips.

Su Bai was silent.

This was the Class 20 exam room.

The "monsters and demons" Liu Hao mentioned were indeed not an exaggeration.

"Hey." Xin Yaoqiao called him in a low voice.

Su Bai ignored her.

"Hey, new guy."

Su Bai leaned back, creating a bit of distance.

"What are you doing?"

"Looking at you," Xin Yaoqiao said matter-of-factly, "you look so handsome when you answer questions."

Su Bai: "..."

Su Bai withdrew his gaze, preparing to lie down and rest for a while.

"Hey!"

Xin Yaoqiao poked his desk.

"Handsome, what's your name?"

Su Bai ignored her.

"Handsome?"

She poked again.

"Handsome?"

Su Bai still ignored her and turned his head to the other side.

Xin Yaoqiao wasn't angry; her eyes rolled, and she suddenly reached out—snatching Su Bai's test paper!

Su Bai: ???

He instinctively went to grab it, but Xin Yaoqiao had already turned around, lying on the table, and started copying from his test paper.

"You—" Su Bai stood up, reaching out to take it back.

Xin Yaoqiao didn't even look back, sticking her butt out and pushing backward.

The movement was too fast and too natural; before Su Bai could react, he had been pushed back into his seat.

He froze there, looking at the part wrapped in a miniskirt and fishnet stockings that was right in front of him, not knowing where to look.

Su Bai's hand paused in mid-air.

That section of buttocks wrapped in a leather miniskirt appeared before him without any warning, less than thirty centimeters from his face.

The edges of the fishnet stockings pressed into the skin, leaving faint marks, and the black mesh faintly revealed the fair skin beneath.

Su Bai froze.

He withdrew his hand, leaned back against the chair, and awkwardly averted his gaze.

Xin Yaoqiao looked back at him, the corners of her mouth curling into a triumphant arc.

Then she continued copying, her butt still maintaining that position, like an invisible barrier.

Su Bai took a deep breath.

Forget it.

Let it be destroyed!

Whatever!
