37: Chapter 37: The Chair Dance Reappears

Under the stage, Liu Hao was drooling from beginning to end.

His eyes followed Yin Suwan's figure, and from time to time he uttered exclamations like "Holy shit," "So beautiful," and "I'm dead."

He waved the glow stick in his hand from start to finish without stopping for a single second.

Su Bai leaned back against his chair, watching the stage.

Yin Suwan's performance was highly professional; every movement was meticulously designed, and every expression was just right.

The eyes of thousands of people below the stage were focused on her, and waves of cheers rose one after another.

She was truly popular now.

The Korean girl who danced in an underground practice room three years ago was now a major streamer with tens of millions of fans across the internet.

Su Bai remembered the year she first signed her contract, when she couldn't even speak Chinese properly and would bow to everyone she met, as cautious as a startled fawn.

Standing on the stage now, she was confident, dazzling, and radiant.

The opening dance ended.

"Ahhhhhh—"

The entire venue erupted!

Liu Hao also screamed along, his voice so loud it nearly pierced Su Bai's eardrums.

"Su Su! Su Su! Su Su!"

"I love you!!"

"Mommy, look at me!"

"..."

Su Bai sat in his seat, looking at the radiant figure on the stage with a calm expression.

Yin Suwan's gaze swept across the venue.

When her gaze swept across the first row, she paused for a brief moment.

"Hello, everyone."

She spoke, her voice soft and sweet, with a slight Korean accent.

"I am Yin Suwan. I'm very happy to come to Jingzhou."

Another wave of earth-shattering screams erupted.

Liu Hao trembled with excitement:

"Su Bai, did you hear that? It's really Su Su! She's right in front of my eyes!"

Su Bai: "Yeah."

"Aren't you excited?"

"It's alright."

"It's alright?!"

Liu Hao's eyes widened.

"That's Yin Suwan! A living, breathing Yin Suwan!"

Su Bai didn't say anything.

So what?

After some brief pleasantries and interaction, Yin Suwan began to dance again on stage.

The first dance was a medley of Korean songs with a fast tempo. Her movements were crisp and neat, and every pose was precise and powerful.

Her skirt fluttered with her movements, revealing her long, beautiful legs.

Liu Hao stared blankly, his eyes glued to her.

"Oh my god..." he muttered to himself. "She's just too beautiful..."

Su Bai leaned back against his chair, watching the stage.

He had to admit, Yin Suwan's stage presence was indeed very strong.

As the song ended, the entire venue cheered.

Slightly out of breath, Yin Suwan stood in the center of the stage and took the microphone handed to her by a staff member.

"Thank you, everyone," she said.

"Next, I'd like to perform a special dance."

A line of words appeared on the large screen:

[Chair Dance—Dedicated to a Special Person]

The entire venue screamed again.

Liu Hao grabbed Su Bai's arm in excitement:

"The Chair Dance! The Chair Dance! That's the one! My favorite one!"

Su Bai looked down at his grabbed arm, feeling a bit helpless.

Dude, is that really necessary?

If you knew that her so-called "special person" was right next to you, wouldn't you explode?

The music started.

Yin Suwan's assistant brought a chair and placed it in the center of the stage.

It was a red chair.

Yin Suwan walked over to the chair, rested her hand on the back of it, and swept her gaze across the venue.

Then, she smiled.

She turned around, facing away from the audience, and gently ran her hand over the back of the chair.

Written there were two barely visible characters—"Boss."

The music became slow and sensual.

Yin Suwan began to dance.

She spun around the chair, her body as fluid as water.

Her hands caressed the back of the chair, then the seat, every movement filled with suggestion.

Her eyes were sometimes hazy, sometimes passionate, as if someone were sitting on that chair.

Liu Hao watched dumbfoundedly, his mouth agape, drool almost dripping down.

"This dance..." he muttered, "is just too..."

"Sexy!!"

Su Bai leaned back against his chair, watching the stage.

Yin Suwan's gaze swept across the first row from time to time, looking in his direction.

Every time she did, the corners of her mouth would curl up slightly, and she would dance even more passionately.

After the Chair Dance ended, thunderous applause erupted throughout the venue.

Liu Hao clapped frantically, his hands turning red.

"Unbelievable!" he shouted. "Absolutely amazing! Su Su, I love you!"

Su Bai glanced at him.

This kid was really a hardcore fanboy.

The fan meeting lasted for two hours.

Yin Suwan performed ten dances in total, sang five songs, and interacted with the fans for several rounds.

Yin Suwan bowed in gratitude on stage, and the entire audience stood up to applaud.

Liu Hao stood up and waved wildly, shouting "Su Su, I love you" until his voice went hoarse.

Throughout the entire fan meeting, Liu Hao, like most fans, remained in a highly excited state.

When it ended, the house lights turned on.

Liu Hao slumped in his seat, a look of complete satisfaction on his face:

"It was worth it, so worth it. I can die happy now!"

Then, he suddenly realized something.

"But it's really strange. No one ever came to sit in these seats we're in."

Su Bai couldn't be bothered to respond. He stood up and stretched. "Let's go."

"Wait, wait, wait."

Liu Hao pulled him back and said a bit sheepishly,

"Take a picture of me! A picture to remember this!"

He handed his phone to Su Bai and flashed a peace sign toward the stage.

Su Bai took a photo for him.

Liu Hao took the phone back, looked at the photo, and grinned like an idiot.

The two walked out with the crowd.

Su Bai's phone vibrated.

It was from Yin Suwan:

[Boss, I'm removing my makeup backstage. I'll be out in about twenty minutes. There's a coffee shop nearby. Would you like to sit there first?]

Su Bai replied:

[Can't be bothered. I'll wait for you at the entrance.]

[Okay! I'll be as fast as I can! *rose* *rose*]

"Su Bai!" Liu Hao suddenly called out from behind.

"Look at this!"

He shoved his phone screen in front of Su Bai.

It was the photo they had just taken, with the words "Yin Suwan Fan Meeting" still lit up on the stage background.

"I posted it to my Moments!" Liu Hao said excitedly.

"Look at the likes! There are already over twenty! They're all guys from our school."

Su Bai took a look and nodded.

Liu Hao put away his phone with satisfaction.

"Hehe, they're going to die of envy!"

The two walked out of the Convention and Exhibition Center.

The night wind blew, carrying the chill of February.

Liu Hao shivered and pulled the zipper of his school uniform all the way to the top.

"Today was so awesome."

he remarked.

"Su Bai, thanks for coming with me. If it weren't for you, sitting in the back by myself definitely wouldn't have been this fun."

"No problem."

"By the way, how did you know there would be empty seats in the first row?" Liu Hao suddenly asked.

"Just guessed."

"Guessed?" Liu Hao's eyes widened. "You're too bold! What if we got kicked out?"

Su Bai smiled and didn't say anything.

Liu Hao wanted to ask more, but his phone suddenly rang.

He picked up:

"Hello? Mom... Yeah, the exam is over... I'm outside... Okay, okay, I'll be back right away."

Hanging up, he looked at Su Bai. "I have to go back. My mom is rushing me. What about you?"

"You go ahead. I still have some things to take care of."

"What are you doing?"

"Just some other stuff."

"Alright then."

Liu Hao nodded.

"Then I'm off. Bye!"

He patted Su Bai on the shoulder and walked away, fully satisfied.

Su Bai waited at the entrance for about twenty minutes.

At nine-thirty, a person wearing a mask and a hat walked out from the side door.

Although she was completely covered up, Su Bai recognized her at a glance.

Yin Suwan quickly walked to his side and naturally took his arm.

"Boss," she whispered, her voice laced with a smile.

"Have you been waiting long?"

"Not really."

She pulled his hand toward the parking lot. "The car is over there."

Not far away, a black RV was parked quietly.

The two got in, and the car door closed.

The RV slowly drove away from the Convention and Exhibition Center.

What Su Bai didn't know was—

At a nearby bus stop, Liu Hao was standing there waiting for his bus.

He happened to look back and saw Yin Suwan holding a boy's arm as they walked into the RV.

That boy's back...

Why did it look so much like Su Bai?!

Liu Hao rubbed his eyes, trying to see more clearly, but the RV had already turned a corner and disappeared into the night.

He stood frozen in place, countless thoughts flashing through his mind.

No way, right?!

Liu Hao shook his head.

I must have seen it wrong.

It's too dark and too far away. How could I have seen clearly?

He comforted himself.

Yet, those two silhouettes were deeply engraved in his heart.
