104: Strange stone flower

"stone life flower?"

"Yes, that is the name I gave it."

Anatolis pointed at the stone life flower and spoke.

"The lower half of the stone life flower has already petrified, but the upper half is still a living plant."

The stone life flower beside Anatolis was about six meters tall, not particularly massive. Half was petrified and half was plant; the plant portion resembled a fruit tree bearing about a dozen fruits.

"This is a fruit tree, right? Senior Anatolis."

"I suppose so, though I am not entirely sure. When I first saw it, it was covered in blossoms, and a floral fragrance filled the entire bottom of the cavern. Furthermore, the flowers it blooms do not wither for three years, so I call it the stone life flower."

"This wonder takes three years to bloom, three years to bear fruit, and three years to ripen. Roughly every nine to ten years, the stone life flower yields a batch of mature stone flower fruits."

"The efficacy of stone flower fruit is stronger than ordinary Silver-tier magic potions. Eating it can strengthen the body and enhance the mana within; if you eat it, it can also strengthen your Battle Qi."

"Besides the stone flower fruit, the stone life flower produces another treasure."

Following the direction Anatolis pointed, Renn saw a naturally formed small puddle at the very base of the petrified section of the stone life flower, containing a bit of white liquid.

There was a small crevice in the petrified part of the stone life flower, where a white droplet slowly condensed before finally dripping into the puddle.

"This is stone flower juice. It has miraculous effects on increasing strength and can even slightly improve one's aptitude. However, the yield is very low; it basically only produces one portion per year."

"Whether it is the stone flower fruit or the stone flower juice, the effects are extremely significant for those below Gold Rank. Several of my offspring relied on them to break through to Gold Rank."

"However, at my level, the effects of the fruit and juice are essentially non-existent. It may also be because I have consumed too much of them."

As Anatolis introduced the effects of the stone life flower, Renn became increasingly shocked. A wonder that could allow someone to break through to Gold Rank—this thing was a top-tier treasure that could continuously produce Gold Rank powerhouses!

No wonder Anatolis was unwilling to leave; even Renn would be reluctant to leave such a wonder behind.

"It looks like it has petrified into a single entity with the ground. It's impossible to transplant."

While magic plants could be transplanted, a special wonder like the stone life flower would be difficult to move. If it were damaged, the loss would be immense.

"You have come at just the right time. The stone flower fruits on this stone life flower are about to ripen. Since you have come to my place, I won't let you leave empty-handed."

"Wait here for a few days. I will give you two portions of stone flower fruit and stone flower juice, allowing both you and that white wolf of yours to advance."

"If you didn't have a partner, I could have let you take the most outstanding of my offspring to become your companion and fight alongside you. But since you already have one, there is no need."

Anatolis looked at Reck, who was following closely behind Renn.

Hearing Anatolis's words, Renn understood that the other party would not be leaving with him, and he wouldn't be able to take those magic wolves either, which left him somewhat disappointed.

However, on second thought, being able to obtain two Gold Rank treasures just by staying for a few days made Renn feel much better.

Furthermore, during these few days, Renn would have the chance to try and persuade Anatolis again. Even if he didn't go himself, letting a few of his children go out and explore the world with Renn would still be a good thing.

As he was thinking, Renn suddenly remembered the reason he had come here.

"Senior Anatolis, I wonder if you have seen a human knight nearby?"

"One of my companions disappeared after entering the nearby mountain forest. I came here because I was tracking him."

Anatolis shook his head.

"I have not seen the knight you speak of. I only discovered you because I sensed Derrick's bloodline nearby, so I sent my offspring to bring you here."

"However, I can have the Wolf Pack search the vicinity. If your companion is found, I will let you know."

"Thank you, Senior Anatolis!"

Having the help of the Wolf Pack was much more efficient than Renn searching blindly on his own.

While Renn waited at Magic Wolf Peak, in the depths of the dense forest on the other side, Alistair was riding Dorok, advancing rapidly in a certain direction.

Waves of mana circulated around Dorok's body. With the enhancement of magic, its speed was extremely fast.

The source of the mana fluctuations on the magic wolf Dorok was Alistair, who was riding him.

Alistair held a staff that emitted a soft green light. The magical aura on him was extremely powerful, far exceeding his level of Battle Qi.

"Aunt Melissa, are you sure there is the scent of a fairy ahead?"

"I'm certain. How could I mistake one of my own kin?"

"Little guy, are you doubting your Aunt Melissa's perception?"

As Alistair spoke, a winged fairy appeared beside his ear.

Melissa was a mature-looking fairy, only about forty centimeters tall, with long green hair and a pair of wings on her back that emitted a green fluorescence.

"Your Aunt Melissa has lived for nearly five hundred years and is just one step away from entering the Legendary Realm. Could I be wrong?"

"Speed up, we're almost there!"

Alistair looked at Melissa flying in front of him with some surprise, while simultaneously turning his head to look around anxiously.

"Aunt Melissa, why have you revealed yourself? What if someone sees you?"

Melissa, however, was indifferent.

"My mana perception is dozens of times stronger than yours. Unless it's a Legend, who could discover me?"

"Don't worry, I've checked; there's no one else around here."

"Speed up. I want to see which disobedient little child sneakily ran out of the Sanctuary Forest to wander around outside. Aunt Melissa is going to give them a good spanking."

Alistair looked at Melissa with some helplessness.

"Aunt Melissa, didn't you sneak out back then too? And you're talking about others!"

"Nonsense!"

Melissa, having her sore spot poked, hastily denied it.

"I was tricked out by your mother, that wicked woman!"

"Hmph!"

"Forget it, I won't talk about it anymore."

At this, the topic came to an abrupt halt.

"Little Alistair, you have already reached the Silver Peak. It's not easy to break through to become a Gold Rank mage; you must work hard!"

"I know, Aunt Melissa. I will work hard."

Melissa looked at Alistair dotingly. This boy, like his mother, was a natural-born mage; at such a young age, he had already touched the threshold of a Gold mage.

"I estimate this boy won't take long to break through to Gold Rank. If only I could go back once and bring some White Dew or hundred flower nectar for him to drink; the breakthrough later would be even smoother."

Melissa thought of the local specialties of her hometown. Unfortunately, she couldn't return for the time being. If she went back, she would surely be detained by the Great Elder and never be able to come out again.

"It's so annoying. Why can't I break through to Legendary yet? If I could reach the Legendary Realm, the Great Elder wouldn't be so strict."

Melissa sat on Alistair's shoulder with some frustration.

Sensing that Melissa's mood was off, Alistair hurried even more. He thought Aunt Melissa was anxious to see her kin.

Waving his green staff, another haste spell fell upon Dorok.

Dorok sped through the dense forest like a white whirlwind.

A moment later, Melissa, who was sitting on Alistair's shoulder, suddenly stood up.

"We're here!"

"It's right nearby!"
