145: The credit delivered to the door
“Bjorn!”
Olivia's crimson pupils stared intently at the man standing on the Dragon Bone Warship high in the distance—the man she hated so much.
The Ancient Red Dragon's massive body, thousands of meters long, circled in the sky, its spread wings stirring up rolling heat waves that surged forward.
The massive Dragon Bone Warship pierced Olivia's heart; it was the corpse of a powerful subordinate she once had, now forged into a magitech battleship.
When Dragons sense death approaching, they rush to the Dragon Tomb, the Land of Slumber, to bury their bodies. They most despise and hate the desecration of their remains.
At this moment, Olivia looked at the Dragon Bone Warship and the human who had once severely wounded her, fiery flames shooting from her eyes, and a powerful Dragon Flame Breath erupted from her massive maw.
The Dragon Breath, containing terrifying energy, reached Bjorn in the blink of an eye.
The Golden King, however, showed no reaction to the Ancient Red Dragon's full-power attack, gazing at her with a calm and composed demeanor.
Olivia watched with her own eyes as her powerful Dragon Breath attack reached Bjorn, only to dwindle down to a small flicker of flame, ultimately unable to harm even a single hair on Bjorn.
“A Domain! That damned King Realm!”
Inside the palace atop Dragon Peak, Zelia lay silently on the main hall floor, recovering, but her attention was entirely focused outside.
On the other side, Matthew was being watched by a powerful Dragonborn Warrior and dared not move recklessly.
The continuous rumbling noise coming from outside disturbed the hearts of the experts inside the hall. Although they were usually Legendary Experts who commanded respect, they didn't even qualify to participate in the battle now.
After a long time, the commotion outside finally ceased.
The Red Dragon Queen returned to the main hall, looking somewhat disheveled.
“Your Majesty, are you alright?”
“I'm fine. That Golden King dares not enter Dragon Peak. As long as I don't leave Dragon Peak, I will be safe.”
“He has already left. Now, let's discuss our matters!”
“The chosen one!”
Olivia looked at Matthew, her eyes flickering... Across the Wilderness, Anatolis galloped, moving as fast as lightning.
A moment later, he returned to Red River Fortress.
Anatolis looked at the drastically changed appearance of Red River Fortress with some astonishment.
“It's only been a few days since I left, so why such a huge change? It's much prettier than before.”
However, Anatolis didn't have time to admire the changes to Red River Fortress now; he went straight to Reyne.
“Senior Anatolis, are you saying the Dragon Legion was routed by the army from Golden City and is currently fleeing?”
Reyne was surprised to receive the news from Anatolis. Just a few days ago, the Dragon Legion was making rapid advances and the situation looked excellent. How could things have fallen apart so quickly?
A few days ago, Reyne had asked Anatolis to go out and investigate the movements of the Dragon Legion invading Rage Bear Territory.
Reyne had previously thought this Dragon War would last for a while, and he had prepared for a protracted battle.
The result, however, was beyond his expectations.
“Yes, I saw a massive magitech battleship pursuing a Dragon Legion. The magitech battleship's power was terrifying; an ordinary Gold Rank could not withstand a single blow from it.”
“Moreover, there were many powerful warriors aboard the magitech battleship. A Dragon Legion didn't hold up for long before it was routed. Except for a few high-level Dragon-blooded Monsters that escaped, most of the Dragon Legion was annihilated.”
“My Wolf Scouts also saw Grand Duke of the Raging Bear Karl personally leading his army to fight the Dragon Legion on another battlefield, achieving a huge advantage.”
“After seeing the magitech battleship destroy one Dragon Legion, I rushed back immediately and didn't investigate the movements of the other Dragon Legions.”
“A magitech battleship, what is that?”
Kapdo, standing beside Reyne, explained, “A magitech battleship is a powerful type of magitech battleship controlled by the Golden Royal Family. It can fly in the air and possesses extremely strong offensive and defensive capabilities.”
“magitech battleships are at least Gold Rank. Only a few Silver Rank Mages are needed to control a Gold Rank magitech battleship and unleash attack power greater than that of an ordinary Gold-rank Professional.”
“Furthermore, magitech battleships fly very fast, and their size allows them to transport a large number of warriors to various battlefields.”
“Only the Golden Royal Family and the Immortal Grand Duke in the entire kingdom possess this technology. However, the Immortal Grand Duke's Territory doesn't control as many resources as the Royal Family, and the Immortal Grand Duke isn't very interested in magitech battleships.”
“Therefore, the Immortal Grand Duke's Territory has only built three magitech battleships, forming a Small Fleet, while the Golden Royal Family alone has more than fifteen known magitech battleships, making their power immense.”
“Since the magitech battleships have appeared, it means the Royal Family's main army has already entered the Northern Territory. That's truly strange!”
“Was this Dragon invasion so critical? The Royal Family mobilized so quickly?”
After Kapdo finished speaking, Reyne's mind immediately went into overdrive, considering all possibilities.
At this moment, Anatolis spoke again.
“On my way back, I saw the Dragon Legion that had previously headed south from the territory. That Eagle Beast Monster wasn't pursued by the magitech battleship, but it might have received the news and is now leading its subordinates in a frantic retreat north.”
“The army under its command is also carrying many plundered people and supplies.”
What Anatolis said piqued Reyne's interest.
“A Dragon Legion fleeing while carrying people and supplies?”
“What is their route of advance? What is their strength?”
Hearing Reyne's question, Anatolis knew he had guessed correctly—Reyne was interested in that Dragon Legion, and his reconnaissance along the way hadn't been in vain.
“Their retreat route is slightly east of Blackstone Territory. It seems they don't want to return to the Red River Valley and enter the Black Mountain Range, but instead are heading to a slightly more eastern location to return to the Black Mountain Range.”
“They might return to the Black Mountain Range in three days. They are moving very fast. Although they are carrying many people, I noticed they are all able-bodied young adults, not the elderly or weak.”
“Driven by the Monster Army, these captured people are moving very quickly.”
“Not going through the Red River Valley?”
This news caused a minor complication for Reyne's plan, but it didn't affect the overall strategy.
There was still one question Reyne cared about most.
“Anatolis, did you see any signs of a Legendary Expert taking action?”
Anatolis shook his head firmly.
“I didn't sense any fluctuations from a Legendary Expert's battle.”
“With the Royal Family's main army mobilized, I doubt those Foreign Races would dare to have any more Legendaries take action.”
Anatolis's assessment was affirmed by Kapdo.
“Since that is the case, we cannot let this Monster Army that invaded the kingdom escape.”
“Ross, notify the Guard Army to assemble. We are going to eliminate this Monster Army.”
Reyne would not miss the chance to beat a drowning dog, and the rewards if successful would be absolutely unimaginable.
The people and supplies plundered by the Dragon Legion were minor gains; the major reward was the merit gained from slaying these invading enemies.
Reyne had long regarded the Red River Valley as his Exclusive Domain. His strength was sufficient now; all he lacked was a bit of merit to raise his noble rank.
“March out!”
