88: Golem Crafting Guide

“Long time no see, Big Brother Rein!”

Cecilia greeted Rein happily upon seeing him.

“Hello, Cecilia.”

“Good day, Master Capdo!”

After handling his territorial affairs, Rein came to visit Kapdo and Cecilia, whom he hadn't seen for a while.

Kapdo had been awake for nearly three months, but his body was still very weak and he looked sickly.

Sometimes, Rein darkly thought that it would be great if Kapdo remained weak; as long as he couldn't recover, he and Cecilia could stay here permanently and work for the Red River Territory.

Over the past few months, Cecilia had provided tremendous help to Rein. The continuous increase in Rein's Magic Wolf Knights and his growing control over the Wasteland Wolf Pack were primarily due to Cecilia's ability to consistently refine Magic Potions.

Rein had already gained control over ten fixed, large Wolf Packs in the wilderness. The alpha wolves of these ten packs were Black Iron Rank Magic Wolves that he had cultivated.

In addition, dozens of peripheral Wolf Packs were distributed around these ten large packs throughout the wilderness of the Red River Valley.

If Rein exerted his full effort, he could summon thousands of wild wolves to serve him in a short period.

These Wolf Packs were Rein's eyes and ears; the information network they formed while roaming the wilderness brought great convenience to Rein.

The assistance of the Wolf Packs was crucial for the success of Rein's recent sorties.

Besides refining Magic Potions, Cecilia also greatly optimized and expanded the Red River Territory's Medicinal Herb Fields.

In the span of a few months, the Red River Territory's ordinary Medicinal Herb Fields expanded tenfold, and the Magic Medicinal Herb Fields expanded twentyfold compared to before.

More than a hundred acres of ordinary Medicinal Herb Fields and twenty acres of Magic Medicinal Herb Fields were located on the east side of Red River Fortress. Standing on the high ground of the castle every day, Rein could see the lush green herbs in the fields.

Cecilia possessed extremely rich knowledge regarding the cultivation of herbs and Magic Potions. Rein paid Kapdo twenty Magic Stones so that Cecilia could teach the children of the Red River Territory the knowledge of cultivating Magic Potions when she had time.

After Kapdo agreed, Rein selected more than ten clever and intelligent children, around eleven or twelve years old, to follow Cecilia and learn the knowledge of cultivating Magic Potions.

Therefore, Rein hoped that Cecilia and Kapdo could remain in the Red River Territory in every respect.

However, Rein had hinted at the matter several times in front of Kapdo, but Kapdo never made a statement, leaving Rein helpless.

“Good day, Baron Rein!”

Kapdo was lying lazily on a chair, basking in the sun.

“Big Brother Rein, are you done being busy? I saw that all of you have been extremely busy these past few days!”

Cecilia looked at Rein with a wide smile, continuously asking questions like a cheerful lark, her crisp and pleasant voice echoing in Rein's ears.

Cecilia was very curious about Rein's affairs!

“Mhm, I'm almost done being busy!”

“Our little Cecilia has improved again! She's already reached Mid-level Bronze Rank. That's truly impressive!”

Feeling Cecilia's enhanced magic power fluctuations, Rein sincerely congratulated her.

“Compared to you, Big Brother Rein, I'm far behind. You broke through to Bronze Rank in just a few months; you're almost catching up to me.”

Cecilia was not satisfied with her own improvement.

A few days ago, Rein relied on the Magic Potions inside his spatial ring to break through to Bronze Rank in his Mage level, making him a Bronze Rank Mage now.

“Don't compare yourself to him, little Cecilia.”

Kapdo looked up at Rein.

“He is a Knight. The Mage profession is merely his auxiliary profession. That fellow still focuses primarily on the Knight profession.”

“Rein hasn't studied spell knowledge, hasn't learned magic skills, and is completely ignorant of magic theory. He only learned a few basic spells.”

“Combined with his excellent Mage talent, if he only learns a few basic spells and has sufficient resources, he will advance very quickly before reaching Gold Rank.”

“However, if he continuously neglects learning these fundamental spell knowledges, he will stop here. Further advancement will be impossible, as breaking through to Gold Rank relies on more than just an increase in magic power.”

“Furthermore, if he only knows a few basic spells, a Mage like him, even upon reaching Silver Rank, wouldn't be able to defeat a Bronze Rank Mage. He would possess magic power but be unable to utilize it.”

“But since he is a Knight, these things aren't that important to him.”

Kapdo saw Rein quite clearly and was not surprised by the rapid increase in Rein's Mage level.

The reason he spoke up to explain was to prevent Cecilia from becoming anxious. The Mage profession is a process of continuous accumulation, where a deep foundation is paramount, and one cannot blindly pursue magic power increases while neglecting the accumulation of knowledge.

“As expected of Master Capdo, your insight is thorough. My learning on the path of a Mage is indeed still far lacking.”

“I came this time precisely because I wanted to consult you on a few matters!”

Saying this, Rein took out a Spell Book titled in six large characters: “Golem Manufacturing Illustrated Guide.”

He found this illustrated guide inside his spatial ring. Whenever he had time recently, he would flip through the Magic Books within the spatial ring, hoping to learn a few more useful spell skills.

After discovering the Golem Manufacturing Illustrated Guide, Rein became very interested in Golems, but unfortunately, he studied it for a long time without understanding it.

“Golem Manufacturing?”

“You possess such a Magic Book?”

Kapdo glanced at it and immediately recognized the book's value.

“Learning this kind of Golem Manufacturing technique would require quite a few Magic Stones even at the Holy White Academy.”

“Master, I looked through this illustrated guide, but there are many parts I don't understand, and I hoped you could enlighten me.”

Kapdo flipped through the Golem Manufacturing Illustrated Guide before returning it to Rein.

“It's normal that you don't understand it. Golem Manufacturing involves a series of prerequisite subjects, such as Spell Circuits, Magic Power Hubs, and Magic Power Frameworks.”

“Golem Manufacturing is a complex and extensive discipline. If you could master this technique, you would be an excellent Mage, and the spell knowledge you possess would already surpass that of many ordinary Mages.”

“This illustrated guide only contains the core techniques of Golem Manufacturing; the fundamental knowledge required to create Golems is not included. If you want to learn it, you must first master those foundational prerequisite knowledges.”

Kapdo glanced at the spatial ring on Rein's hand.

“Since you were able to obtain this illustrated guide, you should also have the books containing the basic theoretical knowledge. Once you've mastered them all, you will naturally be able to understand this guide.”

Hearing what Kapdo said, Rein thought of the books in the spatial ring. Aside from the books concerning Ice Spell knowledge, the rest were exactly the books Kapdo mentioned.

“It seems the Mage from the Cold Wind Family back then not only practiced Ice Spells but also specialized in Golem Manufacturing, making him a Golem Manufacturer.”

Rein thought of the Mage from the Cold Wind Family, and he also noticed the look Kapdo gave his spatial ring just now.

Perhaps Kapdo had discovered something from the Magic Books or the style of the spatial ring, but since Kapdo didn't say anything more, Rein naturally pretended not to know.

“In that case, it seems Golem Manufacturing is not meant for me!”

Rein felt a bit regretful. There was too much to learn for Golem Manufacturing, and he didn't have the time or energy to delve into it.

“Perhaps I can put it into the territory's Mage Academy later as teaching material for a separate discipline.”

Hearing what Rein said, Kapdo looked at Rein with some surprise.

“Territorial Mage Academy?”
