191: Closed space fissure

"Lord, all the demons have been slain; not a single one escaped."

Montoya walked over to report the situation. The grime and blood on his armor had been cleaned off, and his White Wolf Heavy Armor looked brand new after being wiped down.

Reyn set up a bonfire in the open space and was roasting a Tricolor Chicken; the tempting aroma of meat continuously wafted from the bird.

Turning the roasted chicken in his hand, Reyn asked, "What about those Blackstone Territory nobles?"

"That Viscount was killed by the demons, and most of the nobles were also killed by the demons. Only a few people are still alive."

"Kill them all!"

Reyn took a bite of the roasted chicken. The delicious taste made him extremely satisfied with his cooking skills.

"Kill them all?" Montoya glanced at Reyn, who was eating heartily.

"Yes, kill them all!"

"These people are all hidden dangers. If they live and later disclose what we've done, I won't be able to explain myself, whether to the Grand Duke or the Kingdom."

"If they don't die, then our people will die instead."

"Clean out all the nobles of the Blackstone Territory, as well as their stewards and house servants. Just leave the ordinary vassals."

Montoya nodded and said, "Understood. I'll go take care of it now!"

Montoya stood up decisively and immediately took his men to handle the trouble.

After finishing the roasted chicken in his hand, Reyn summoned Klimp.

"You will leave now and take this Victory Report and the demon heads I prepared to Rage Bear Fortress to His Highness the Grand Duke, and inform His Highness of the extraordinary victory achieved by the Red River Territory."

"Yes, Lord!"

The Victory Report personally written by Reyn stated that the Demon Legion had destroyed Blackstone Fortress before heading north to attack the Red River Territory. They were ultimately routed under Reyn's preemptive attack, the main force of the Demon Legion was completely annihilated, and the small spatial rift was also sealed.

This time, Reyn used the Chaos Demons to completely eliminate the Blackstone Family. The Blackstone Territory would be left ungoverned for a short period, allowing Reyn to freely extract resources during this time.

Furthermore, the Chaos Demons must be eliminated. The Ordinance Knights from the Royal Capital were keeping a close watch on these demons, and if these demons were left unchecked, the Ordinance Knights would be highly likely to move north.

Reyn's deployment this time was killing two birds with one stone.

The next day, after a restless night, Blackstone Fortress was completely brought under Reyn's control.

All the nobles of the Blackstone Territory were purged. The remaining vassals numbered around forty to fifty thousand, many of whom were Slaves recently purchased by the Blackstone Family in the past few months.

Clearly, the recent Dragon Calamity had caused heavy losses to the once prosperous Blackstone Territory.

Out of the forty to fifty thousand people, over thirty thousand able-bodied adults were kept by Reyn and put to work mining blackstone ore in the Black Stone Mining Area near Blackstone Fortress. The remaining elderly, young, women, and children were taken to the Red River Territory for resettlement.

All the wealth of the Blackstone Family inside Blackstone Fortress was packaged up and taken away by Reyn, leaving the entire Blackstone Fortress an empty shell.

Even so, Reyn was still somewhat dissatisfied.

"I didn't expect the Blackstone Family's collection to be so small. I got my hopes up for nothing."

Perhaps because the Dragon Calamity had indeed severely impacted the Blackstone Territory, Reyn did not find many valuable resources inside Blackstone Fortress.

However, Reyn now had two more spatial rings in his possession: one belonging to Viscount Black Stone Clarkson, and the other found in the Blackstone Family treasury.

Three spatial rings were enough to pack up the entire Blackstone Family treasury.

After settling matters at Blackstone Fortress, Reyn left the First Legion to guard the Black Stone Mining Area and its operations. He personally led the Three Titled Legions south, heading straight for the small spatial rift.

Along the way, Reyn encountered scattered Chaos Demons, which were easily eliminated.

Near the small spatial rift, they also encountered a Demon Legion of less than a thousand troops.

Without a Gold-rank Great Demon leading them, this Demon Legion couldn't even withstand a single charge from one of the Red River Territory's Three Titled Legions and was instantly routed.

Standing not far from the spatial rift, Reyn curiously observed it. This was the first time he had seen something similar to a Plane Passage yet distinct from it.

A dense aura of Chaos Laws emanated from near the spatial rift, making Reyn feel very uncomfortable. This law contamination brought from the Chaos Demon Abyss was a fatal poison to the creatures of the Noah Continent.

From time to time, demons ran out of the spatial rift, but as soon as they showed their heads, Montoya instantly cut them down.

"Compared to a Plane Passage, the spatial rift's teleportation effect is far too poor. It seems very difficult for those demons to cross over."

"It's fortunate there's such a restriction, otherwise, dealing with so many spatial rifts suddenly connecting to the Chaos Demon Abyss would be troublesome."

After observing for a moment, Reyn took out his staff, preparing to seal the spatial rift.

He could feel a force near the spatial rift repelling the Chaos Laws of the Chaos Demon Abyss and continuously repairing the spatial rift. Even if left alone, the spatial rift might disappear on its own in ten days to half a month.

Reyn couldn't wait ten days or half a month; he needed to seal this spatial rift now.

Reyn took out a Cerulean Staff, over two meters long, and held it in his hand. This staff was a gift from Kapdo, a staff Kapdo had previously used, and its effect was much more powerful than Reyn's original staff.

Holding the staff, Reyn used Purification Magic to begin dispersing the Chaos Laws and repairing the spatial rift.

As the Contractor of the Spirit of Nature Dora, Reyn also shared some benefits as Dora's strength rapidly increased.

Besides the initial Nature Affinity, Reyn successively mastered many Nature Magic spells and some of Dora's talents. Reyn also shared Dora's Purification Talent.

However, compared to Dora, the effectiveness of the spells and talents Reyn gained was halved, only about half of Dora's own effect.

Even so, the effects of these talents and spells were still astonishingly powerful. For instance, the purification Reyn was currently using was still more effective than the casting results of ordinary Purification Mages.

Nature Magic spells were the same; the Nature Magic cast by Reyn was slightly more effective than the spells cast by Cecilia and others.

Watching large swaths of Chaos Laws rapidly purified and vanish, Reyn sighed at Dora's power. If Dora herself were to personally cast the purification, the effect would be even more astonishing.

Following Reyn's repairs, the spatial rift was quickly and completely sealed.

After completing the final purification work, Reyn suddenly felt his strength increase slightly, and he felt a kinship with all things in the world, and his perception was also enhanced a little.

"Does purifying Chaos Laws and sealing a spatial rift have benefits like this?"

Although the physical changes were not significant, Reyn, with his strong perception, could clearly sense these changes.

He immediately linked these changes to the sealing of the spatial rift he had just performed.

"Interesting!"

After confirming it several times and being sure it was a good thing, Reyn accepted it with peace of mind. He couldn't go seal other spatial rifts in the short term, nor could he experiment with this change, so he had to leave it alone for now.

"It's a good thing, after all."

After sealing this spatial rift, Reyn led the legions back to take command at Blackstone Fortress.

The migration of Blackstone Fortress's population and resources would take a few more days, so Reyn needed to stay here for a few more days.
