170: Demolition

As the Eagle Messengers quickly conveyed the Great Elder's orders to the major settlements, many low-level personnel in the villages and towns finally learned the news that the world was about to be destroyed.

Soon, more chaotic situations emerged; on one side were monster attacks, and on the other was internal turmoil within the settlements. Only a very small number of people followed the Great Elder's instructions to lead their tribesmen in a rapid migration to the west.

Renn didn't know what instructions the Great Elder had issued; he had just finished transplanting all the magic plants harvested from the Holy Mountain into the Red River Fortress herb garden.

Dora flew around happily. With so many delicious things added all at once, the herb garden finally looked like the paradise she had imagined.

"Renn, you're so good, bringing back so many delicious things, especially that colorful little tree. It looks really tasty!"

"Little Dora, don't sneak any bites, okay? When they mature, I'll have Master Kapdo refine them into even tastier things for you. We'll eat them together then."

"Don't worry, Dora won't hog the delicious food. Good things should be shared with friends, of course! Dora will eat tasty things together with the great guy, Renn."

Renn was quite touched by Dora's innocent and romantic nature.

"It'll be hard work for you here, Dora. Take good care of these magic plants."

"Don't worry, don't worry!"

While flying, Dora released her innate magic. The newly planted magic plants quickly became radiant, growing even better than before.

"The innate spells of a Spirit of Nature are truly powerful. With these magic plants left to Dora, they will soon be more flourishing than before, and their effects will increase significantly."

Kapdo wiped the fine sweat from his forehead and took a breath.

Transplanting high-level magic plants was delicate work, and having to rush made it quite taxing for Kapdo.

Fortunately, with Dora, a Spirit of Nature, present, she did most of the work. Otherwise, just transplanting the harvested magic plants would have taken Renn and the others several days.

"With Dora here, once we've thoroughly processed the harvest in a few days, this herb garden will undergo a major upgrade."

"It's finally starting to look like something, hahahaha!"

Renn looked at the wide variety of magic plants in the herb garden with satisfaction. These were the fruits of his labor; he had put a lot of effort into building the entire herb garden from scratch to what it was now.

"Let's go, there are still good things waiting for us!"

Having emptied his spatial ring, Renn headed for the Holy Mountain once again.

The group soon arrived at the Holy Mountain again, and this time Renn went directly to the summit.

Renn said with some uncertainty, "The materials used for this palace seem to be all Transcendent Materials?"

Kapdo stared at the Holy Lord's residence with bloodshot eyes, muttering:

"Obsidian, Crimson Gold Stone, Magic Rune Stones, Magic Iron, Blood Copper... these are all high-quality Transcendent Materials, and they're all here."

Landing in front of the palace gates, Kapdo personally stroked the special palace.

"These are all excellent materials for building a Mage Tower! A Mage Tower!"

At this time, the personnel staying behind on the Holy Mountain also discovered Renn and the others.

"It's you, Lord of the White Wolves. You've come again!"

"Has Montoya really surrendered to you?"

A Holy Mountain Guard who appeared to be the leader stepped forward and asked Renn a few questions.

Seeing that these guards didn't make a move, Renn didn't attack them either.

"Yes, the White Wolf Tribe has already surrendered to me, and the clansmen of the White Wolf are already migrating to my territory. I advise you to make plans early as well. This world will soon collapse; staying here is just waiting for death."

The Holy Mountain Guards looked at each other in silence. After thinking for a moment, the leading guard walked toward Renn and knelt on one knee.

"Lord of the White Wolves, I am Prague, Captain of the Third Regiment of the Holy Mountain Guards. I have received the Great Elder's order to surrender to you. I hope you can accept us."

As Prague expressed his intention to surrender, the remaining Holy Mountain Guards also knelt one after another.

"The Great Elder's order? To have you surrender to me?"

Renn shifted his gaze from the palace in front of him to Prague. He was somewhat curious that the rumored Great Elder would issue such an order.

"The Great Elder is fighting a hard battle against the monsters from the other world in the east. He sensed that the world is about to be destroyed and ordered us to surrender to you to preserve the seeds of the Holy Mountain."

It was naturally for the best that the Holy Mountain was willing to surrender, as it saved Renn a lot of trouble.

If the elders of the Holy Mountain were still around, Renn would have considered whether to accept their surrender. Now that there wasn't a single powerhouse left in the entire Holy Mountain, Renn had no such concerns.

"I accept your surrender, Prague. Go and gather those who wish to migrate to my territory, then set out. You don't have much time left, so be quick."

"Yes, I understand, my Lord."

Prague went to gather the population of the Holy Mountain. Before he left, Renn had him leave behind someone familiar with the Holy Mountain to serve as a guide.

"My Lord, this is the Holy Lord's residence and also where he cultivated. Legend has it that it took decades of time and the precious materials of the entire world to complete it."

Fiona introduced the Holy Lord's residence to Renn and the others. She was Prague's younger sister and had been called over by him to serve Renn.

While introducing, Fiona carefully observed Renn. The man before her would be the new master of the Holy Mountain and the figure who would dominate their fate.

Renn's handsome appearance left a good impression on Fiona, which also made her breathe a sigh of relief.

"You know this place well?"

Renn looked at the woman before him. Fiona was several years older than Alistair, nearly thirty years old, and considerably taller than Alistair and Cecilia. She exuded the charm of a mature woman.

"Yes, my Lord. I am a disciple of the Holy Lord and often cultivated here with his other disciples."

"Oh? What are your skills?"

When asked about her strengths, Fiona was very confident.

"My Lord, I am an Enchanter and a Formation Master, specializing in enchantments and Magic Array layouts. I participated in the Magic Array barriers of the Holy Mountain, and my work can be found in the enchanted weapons of the Holy Mountain Legion."

"Formation Master, Enchanter, not bad!"

Renn was very satisfied to hear Fiona's professions. These two professions would be of great help to the Red River Territory and were talents he urgently lacked.

"Do you know where the Holy Mountain's treasury is?"

Renn asked the question he was most concerned about.

"The treasury, I know where it is. I'll take you there!"

Under Fiona's guidance, Renn successfully entered the Holy Mountain's treasury.

Looking at the vast treasury, Renn was very disappointed. There were no rare materials in the entire treasury, mostly basic mineral materials and some gold and silver items.

The slightly more precious things were a few magic potions and mature magic plants, but the stock was very small.

"Are you sure this is your Holy Mountain's treasury and not a common warehouse?"

Renn was somewhat skeptical if the place Fiona led him to was correct.

Fiona said cautiously, "My Lord, this is indeed the Holy Mountain's treasury. There used to be many good things here, but over the years, the Holy Lord wanted to break through his realm and constantly consumed resources in many attempts, so it gradually became empty."

Kapdo spoke up at this time, "The resources in this Sub-plane weren't many to begin with, so it's normal not to have much left. Renn, let's not waste time here; let's go demolish that palace."

Kapdo had long been ready to start demolishing the house; he was incredibly greedy for those materials.

Renn put away the more valuable items in the treasury and turned to leave.

"Let's go, time to demolish the house!"
