210: Dora's Promotion

Renn waved his hand to indicate he was fine, then sat down steadily with Cecilia's support.

He had merely been caught off guard by the sudden appearance of this natural energy. Now that he had reacted, Renn immediately understood the source of this power and began to harness it to enhance his own strength.

Kapdo roughly understood the reason after seeing the natural aura emanating from Renn.

"It's alright, little Cecilia, don't worry. It should be that Dora has digested that law crystal and made a major breakthrough in strength, which caused a reaction on Renn's side."

"Renn and Dora share a special contract; they complement each other. The unique power of the Spirit of Nature is also of great benefit to Renn."

"According to ancient records, those who can form a contract with a Spirit of Nature achieve no small feats."

"With such an auxiliary effect, how could their achievements be low?"

Kapdo marveled at the difference between people. Not to mention Renn's own terrifyingly strong talent, even without such talent, simply relying on the feedback from Dora, a Spirit of Nature, he would become a powerful Nature Mage in the future.

Cecilia, standing by his side, didn't think that far ahead. She only felt relieved after knowing Renn was fine, though her eyes never left Renn's body.

"Sigh!"

"You silly girl, you really have grown up!"

Cecilia was already over fifteen, almost sixteen. In the Kingdom of Asriel, sixteen was the normal marriageable age for women.

"If you want to pursue your own happiness, you must be firm in your heart's choice, little Cecilia."

"Grandpa, I..."

Cecilia, who was worrying about Renn, trembled upon hearing her grandfather's words, and the words at the tip of her tongue remained unspoken.

Kapdo felt somewhat helpless. After discovering that Renn had formed a contract with a Spirit of Nature and that his granddaughter's future could be saved, he had decided to stay in the Red River Territory. From that moment on, he had tacitly accepted Renn as his granddaughter's future husband.

Kapdo could see Cecilia's feelings for Renn; a young girl could never hide the emotions in her heart.

Renn likewise had a great deal of affection for Cecilia, though Kapdo could see that due to her age, Renn viewed Cecilia as a younger sister.

But such feelings could change. As Cecilia grew up, Kapdo was confident that Renn would be attracted to her.

Cecilia was top-tier in both appearance and personal talent. Combined with Kapdo's own contributions to the Red River Territory, Kapdo was certain Renn was Cecilia's future partner.

He hadn't expected an accident to occur—Alistair's sudden appearance had caught Kapdo off guard.

Previously, no woman in the Red River Territory could catch Renn's eye, so Kapdo felt Cecilia could afford to wait. Alistair's appearance immediately caused a massive flaw in Kapdo's expectations.

Until yesterday, when news of Renn and Alistair confirming their relationship quickly spread through the upper echelons of the Red River Territory, the thing Kapdo had been worried about became a reality.

"I understand, Grandpa!"

Amidst Kapdo's lamenting, the look in Cecilia's eyes as she watched Renn gradually became firm.

If there were a choice, Kapdo wouldn't have guided Cecilia this way, but now he had no other option. Renn was the most suitable man for Cecilia he knew. Even if he already had a partner, it didn't hinder Kapdo's approval of him.

It was normal for the strong to have several partners. Kapdo himself once had several wives, and rumors said that the former Golden King, Asriel, even had Elf and Dragon partners.

Kapdo now hoped Cecilia could occupy a place by Renn's side as soon as possible. In the future, Renn might have more than just Alistair and Cecilia by his side!

Seeing Cecilia's look of deep concern for Renn, Kapdo decided not to voice his inner thoughts.

Before long, Renn recovered, and his current state was exceptionally good.

He had taken a huge step forward on the path of Gold Peak, and he could vaguely sense the doors to Legendary status.

"I didn't expect Dora to have such a massive improvement all at once. It looks like she almost broke through to Legendary this time."

Renn was somewhat surprised. Not long ago, he remembered Dora had just broken through to High Gold Rank, yet in just a few days, she was able to charge towards Legendary. Even for a Spirit of Nature, growth shouldn't be this fast, right?

"Perhaps Dora digested and absorbed the law crystal I gave her. It seems law crystals are also beneficial to Spirits of Nature."

"Master Kapdo, you gave Dora a law crystal?"

Renn looked at Kapdo curiously.

"Yes, leaving one for Cecilia was enough anyway. I couldn't use the remaining one myself, so giving it to Dora was just right."

"I originally thought law crystals might be useless to Spirits of Nature."

"It's good that it could be put to use!"

Renn said no more. Kapdo's help to him was beyond what a few simple words could describe. Although some of it was for his own sake, Renn could still distinguish Kapdo's sacrifices.

"Cecilia, use this potion; it will be good for you!"

Renn handed the water-attribute clansias blessing to Cecilia. Improving her water-attribute aptitude would also benefit Cecilia's future development in Potionology.

"Okay!"

This time, Cecilia unusually did not decline. Taking the potion from Renn's hand, she was determined to break through to Gold Rank as soon as possible.

Renn had already touched the door to Legendary, and Alistair's strength was also rapidly improving. Although she was only weak because she was too young, Cecilia still didn't want to be left too far behind by them.

She had already reached Silver Peak. Cecilia was confident she could break through to Gold Rank soon. Thinking of this, her hands tightened around the potion bottle.

"Cecilia, you've improved a lot again!"

Renn habitually rubbed Cecilia's head. Little Cecilia stood still, letting Renn's warm, large hand rest on her head.

"Let's go. We'll check on Dora first, then talk about building the Mage Tower!"

Since Dora had caused such a big commotion, Renn definitely had to go see her first. Building the Mage Tower would also require some effort from Dora later on.

"Are we preparing to build the Mage Tower? That's wonderful! If we build a professional potion workshop in the Mage Tower, the production of potions will increase, and training these Potion Masters will be much more convenient!"

Hearing that Renn was preparing to build a Mage Tower, both Kapdo and Cecilia were somewhat excited.

"Don't worry, we'll definitely have all of that!"

The three of them soon arrived at Dora's garden. By now, the garden was filled with a massive amount of natural mana. If it weren't for the Magic Array barrier concealing and constraining it, the surging natural mana would have already spread to half of Red River Fortress.

Various magic plants had grown significantly taller under the nourishment of natural energy. Dora's treehouse was even submerged in natural mana. Renn clearly perceived that this tree, which had been forced to grow, had already become a magic plant—a Bronze Rank magic plant.

Being nourished by Dora's leaking energy every day, this tree naturally benefited the most. This outburst was also the result of prior accumulation.

"Renn, you're here!"

Sensing Renn's aura, Dora gave a cheer and flew over.

"Look at me! I'm so powerful now!"

Circling Renn a few times, Dora showed off her new abilities to Renn, her little mouth babbling away rapidly.

"The treats Cecilia gave me tasted really good! What makes me happiest is that after eating them, I saw Mother. It's the first time I've seen Mother since I was born; before, Mother only whispered to me, I'd never seen her!"

"Mother is so gentle, so very gentle. Mother's embrace is so warm, so very warm. I love Mother so much!"

Dora recounted her experiences to Renn, leaving the three of them dumbfounded.

"Law Materialization? Spirits of Nature are truly difficult to fathom!"

Renn and the others could only attribute it to the miraculous nature of the Spirit of Nature itself.

After this advancement, Dora's original abilities had all received significant boosts. In addition, she had gained several new abilities.

For example, one of them was Spirit Awakening Technique. Renn also knew a weakened version of Spirit Awakening Technique. In Renn's eyes, Spirit Awakening Technique was the activation of Treants, but it wasn't just for Treants; it could also activate other plants, as long as they met the requirements for the spell.

After learning more from Dora, Renn had some new ideas.

But before that, the Mage Tower needed to be built first.

Renn explained his thoughts and brought Dora along, letting her demonstrate her newly enhanced strength.

Dora, whose strength had just surged, was in a playful mood and wanted to test her skills, so she immediately agreed to Renn's request.

Not long after, the construction project for the Red River Territory Mage Tower began.
