222: Curse removal
The sounds of heavy breathing gradually subsided, and peace returned to the room. The clothes scattered across the floor and the messy state of the room showed how intense the battle had been not long ago.
"Am I impressive?"
"Impressive!"
"Are you scared now?"
"I'm scared, I'm scared, don't move anymore!"
Feeling the movements of the man beneath her, Alistair hurriedly pressed down on that mischievous large hand.
"I told you I'd let you know how impressive I am!"
Renn lay on the bed triumphantly holding Alistair. Alistair, who didn't have a shred of strength left, rolled her eyes at the gloating man before burying her face in his chest and remaining motionless.
"You start acting up the moment you get back!"
"Bullying people just because you broke through to Legendary!"
"I'll break through to Legendary sooner or later too, and then I'll let you know how impressive I am!"
"Hmph!"
Renn laughed and didn't respond to his bedmate's mumbling, only increasing the strength in his hand slightly, eliciting a soft moan from the beauty.
"Rest. We'll talk about other things tomorrow!"
Time flew by, and the next day arrived. Renn and Alistair, having tidied themselves up, went to the dining room to eat.
Renn's spirits were exceptionally high and he looked radiant, while Alistair seemed to be in poor condition.
"It's all your fault, not letting people sleep in the middle of the night!"
"I have so many things to handle today. How am I supposed to finish them like this?"
Looking at Renn, who was eating heartily and in great spirits, Alistair complained huffily.
"Take a day off! It's fine."
"No way. If I take a day off, there will be even more things tomorrow. There are more and more Mage Apprentices at the Mage Academy, so there's a lot to do. There's also a pile of things in the Mage Tower; none of them can wait!"
"What are you doing today?"
"I plan to work with Dora to completely upgrade the Magical Plant Garden, and then see how the Flower Fairy Clan is settling in. I need to get these future gardeners settled!"
"You go out for a trip and bring back a whole group of Flower Fairies. You really are capable. With them in the Magical Plant Garden, it looks like there's going to be a huge explosion in production. The Professionals will be lucky from now on."
The two chatted for a while before starting their respective busy schedules.
When Renn arrived at Dora's garden, he saw the Flower Fairies working hard to build their new home.
"Lord Renn, you've come!"
Lecis stepped forward to greet Renn. She was very satisfied with this new home. Because of the presence of Dora, a Spirit of Nature, the natural power in Dora's garden was extremely abundant, which was of great benefit to the Flower Fairies.
Lecis had also figured out who was in charge here. Although their Flower Fairy Clan followed Her Highness Dora, the Spirit of Nature,
Renn was Dora's contracted partner, and the two could be seen as one entity. Coupled with Renn's strength and status, Lecis's attitude toward Renn after learning more was extremely respectful.
Compared to the other innocent and romantic Flower Fairies, Lecis, as the clan leader, was quite sophisticated in her dealings and had extremely sharp vision.
"It seems you all like this new home very much."
Looking at the Flower Fairies working with great enthusiasm, Renn smiled and conversed with Lecis.
"Yes, Lord Renn, we like it here very much. Thank you for providing us with this new home."
A sizable garden had been carved out within the Magical Plant Garden, where flowers of various colors competed to bloom with extraordinary brilliance.
Renn saw that many of the flowers in the garden were magic plants and of high levels. These competing flowers were the residences of the Flower Fairies; these high-level magic plant flowers had been moved from the Flower Fairy Clan's habitat in the Cui Weng World.
"Where's Dora?"
"Why don't I see her?"
"Her Highness Dora went into the tree house yesterday with Lady Cecilia and the others to handle some business and hasn't come out yet."
"It's still not finished?"
Renn looked at Dora's tree house not far away. It seemed that clearing the power of the curse was more difficult than Renn had anticipated, as it still hadn't ended.
"Since Dora is busy, let me help you!"
Renn took out the staff given to him by the Ancient Tree. Renn called this staff the Ancient Tree Staff.
The staff, robe, and armor given by the Ancient Tree were all top-tier transcendent equipment, of a level higher than anything Renn had ever seen in his life.
Compared to the transcendent equipment Renn had used before, those previous pieces were all garbage. Combined, they weren't worth as much as any single item given by the Ancient Tree.
The Ancient Tree Robe and the Ancient Tree Staff provided over a fifty percent increase to Renn's casting speed, spell intensity, and mana recovery speed.
Such bonuses were based on Renn's current strength. Given his current power, the staffs he used before had become useless items with no effect at all.
But the Ancient Tree Staff and robe were completely different; not only were they useful, their effects were terrifyingly strong.
The Ancient Tree armor was even more exceptional. Wearing that armor could increase energy recovery speed and speed up wound healing, producing an effect like constantly drinking a recovery potion.
Furthermore, the armor's strength was extremely high. Renn had tested it, and even Gold Rank combat power couldn't break its defense.
Gold Rank combat power couldn't even break the defense; this defensive power left Renn extremely shocked.
The fact was that the three treasures given by the Ancient Tree were all Legendary-grade super equipment. These three Legendary items caused Renn's strength to grow by a large margin out of thin air.
Clad in the Ancient Tree Robe and holding the Ancient Tree Staff, Renn used nature-system spells to nourish and cultivate the Flower Fairies' magic garden.
The entire magic garden flourished under Renn's spells. Large patches of flowers burst from the ground, expanding the garden's area, while the core magic plant flowers bloomed even more vigorously.
"Thank you for your help, Lord Renn!"
The Flower Fairies were naturally born nature-system Spellcasters, so managing their garden wasn't difficult. However, Renn's offer to help also represented his caring attitude toward them, which stabilized Lecis's previously somewhat anxious mindset.
"Alright, you all continue your work. I'll go see how Dora is doing!"
Having achieved his purpose, Renn didn't continue to disturb the Flower Fairies as they decorated their new home.
Entering Dora's tree house, Renn saw Dora purifying the power of Kapdo's curse.
"Renn, you've come at just the right time. The curse power on Kapdo is too deep and is very troublesome to clear. Come help me!"
"Alright!"
Renn joined forces with Dora without hesitation to purify the curse power on Kapdo.
With Renn's current strength, the effect of assisting Dora was extremely obvious. With his joining, Dora felt a lot of pressure lift instantly, and she immediately launched the final cleansing of the curse power within Kapdo's body.
Under Cecilia's expectant gaze, the curse power in Kapdo's body was removed bit by bit until not even the last wisp remained.
"It's finally over!"
Dora let out a soft sigh. This purification spell was the most exhausting one she had performed in a long time; clearing curse power was truly not easy.
To the side, Cecilia had already thrown herself into Kapdo's arms, crying with excitement.
The curse power in Cecilia's body hadn't been much and was completely cleared by Dora at the very beginning. Now Kapdo had also finished his cleansing. The nightmare that had plagued them for many years finally ended today.
Kapdo had never felt his body be so light. Without the curse power, he felt his breathing was much smoother, and the mana in his body began to leap with joy.
Holding his granddaughter in his arms, Kapdo softly comforted Cecilia while looking toward Renn and Dora.
Kapdo secretly felt fortunate!
"Fortunately I met this kid back then. The decision to stay in the Red River Territory was the most correct decision of my life."
