74: Tribal Union

"What are you all arguing about here?"

"A bunch of weaklings!"

A voice came from outside the main tent, interrupting the Gnoll Chieftain who was about to say something more.

The main tent was opened, and a strong, foul stench rushed in first, followed by two tall figures walking inside.

"The Ogre Brothers?"

"They've come too!"

The tribal chiefs sitting on the periphery were startled as they watched the figures enter the tent.

Ogres are notoriously powerful and cruel in the wilderness; they have an insatiable appetite, so they devour every prey they catch.

Their menu is quite diverse: beasts, magical beasts, Gnomes, Gnolls, and humans. As long as they can catch them, the Ogres will refuse nothing and stuff it all into their stomachs to satisfy their perpetually hungry, giant maws.

Every adult Ogre possesses Bronze Rank combat power, and relying on their formidable physical talent, they have few rivals among those of the same rank, enough to crush most of the alien races present.

The two Ogres who entered the tent were over three meters tall, appearing like two giants among these tribal chiefs, and their strength had both reached Silver Initial Rank.

"You trash are gathered here to discuss dealing with humans, so why didn't you call us brothers?"

"You look down on us!"

The Ogre Brothers took turns pointing at the Goblin Prophet and the other tribal chiefs, cursing them loudly.

As they spoke, they were also stuffing food into their mouths; the Goblin Prophet glanced over and discovered that what these two Ogres were eating were actually Goblin corpses.

The staff made of a magical beast's skull slowly gathered mana, signaling its owner's unstable emotions. The Goblin Prophet was extremely furious as he watched the Ogres devouring his subordinates, but he ultimately endured it.

Ogres have extremely high resistance to magic. Although he was one rank higher than the Ogre Brothers, at such close range, he might not necessarily win in a real fight against them.

"Didn't you say you weren't coming?"

The Ogre Tribe was originally led by three brothers and consisted of dozens of Ogres. However, their eldest brother had been killed, and now only two brothers remained, leading about ten Ogres.

Although the Goblin Prophet was very wary of the Ogres, he looked down on these brainless fellows with well-developed muscles.

Back then, the Ogre Chieftain had Silver Mid-rank strength and was the strongest among the nearby alien races; even the Goblin Prophet himself was no match for him.

As a result, when faced with a human raid, that idiot actually went to duel a Human Knight alone, only to have his head chopped off, and the tribe was routed by the humans.

If he possessed the strength of an Ogre, the Goblin Prophet would never have dueled a human one-on-one; instead, he would have led the tribe to crush those humans.

The Ogres' intelligence was worrying, and they didn't know how to restrain their behavior, often snatching and eating members of various tribes at will. From the beginning, the Goblin Prophet had excluded them and had no intention of allying with them.

"Who said we brothers weren't coming?"

"To deal with humans, we must come. We're going to kill all those human shrimps."

Facing the Ogre Brothers' shouting, the other tribal chiefs around remained silent. Even the Gnoll Chieftain, who had the worst temper, didn't dare face the Ogres' wrath directly.

"Four Hands, you were human before, and you have some humans under you now. Do you have any information about our opponent?"

The Goblin Prophet changed the subject, fearing the Ogre Brothers would go on endlessly.

"The humans on the other side should be from the Wild Wolf Family. In the Red River Valley, only their family has Magic Wolf Knights. However, I heard that the Fel Orcs dealt a heavy blow to the Red River Valley before, so their family's strength should have been severely damaged."

A figure sitting in the corner stood up. He had four arms, and his skin was ulcerated in many places with pustules, though human features could be seen from his build.

Four Hands was once an ordinary human. To pursue power, he drank an unknown magic potion and ended up in this ghostly state, but he gained strength because of it, reaching the Silver Rank.

After his body mutated, he left human society to survive in the wilderness. Relying on his own strength, he gathered a group of vicious outlaws and criminals in the wilderness to wander around.

"Fel Orcs!"

At the mention of this name, all the tribal chiefs around shuddered, even the Ogres. Compared to the powerful Fel Orcs, these wilderness tribes were insignificant.

Many of them had fled when the Fel Orcs invaded the Red River Valley, and the Fel Orcs had killed many of their kin back then.

"The Wild Wolf Family is only a Baron, while Blackstone Territory to the south belongs to a Viscount. A Baron's strength is certainly not as great as a Viscount's."

Four Hands sat down again after finishing. Although he was human before, he wasn't a noble and didn't know much.

The Goblin Prophet had captured some humans before and had some understanding of them.

"So we will continue north to test those humans."

"I will send out a bait to lure the humans into attacking. Then, we will combine the forces of our tribes from behind to crush them."

The Goblin Prophet spoke his plan, and the surrounding tribal chiefs were very satisfied with it, finally settling on it.

Afterward, the tribal chiefs left the main tent and returned to their respective tribes.

The tribes gathered together, and the camp's order was already chaotic. The arrival of the Ogres further intensified the chaos; many Goblins and Kobolds passing by the Ogre camp were snatched and thrown into large pots to be boiled.

After coming out of the main tent, Godo first returned to his own tribe and told his subordinates to stay together as much as possible and not go out alone; then, he left the tribe with his Magic Wolf mount.

By a pond in the wilderness, Renn leaned against Reck, sitting comfortably by the water and fishing.

Godo was kneeling behind them, looking at Renn and White Wolf Leike with awe.

"So you're saying they've formed an alliance and are preparing to join forces against me?"

"Yes, my master!"

"The combined strength of the tribes is very formidable. There are six Silver Rank leaders alone, dozens of other Bronze Rank minor chiefs, and the total number from all tribes adds up to seventy or eighty thousand."

"Their combined strength is very powerful!"

Godo was somewhat worried. He had seen too many powerful tribal chiefs in the Goblin Prophet's tent, and he couldn't imagine how much power these formidable leaders would have once united.

"Hahahaha!"

"No matter. A mere rabble. It's just as well they've united so I can wipe them out all at once and be done with it for good!"

Renn wasn't surprised at all by the news Godo brought; everything was as expected.

He didn't show the slightest worry about the tribal alliance, as if it were fragile and easily defeated.

Seeing Renn like this, Godo's worried heart felt much better.

"Master, your strength is unrivaled. Naturally, those tribal chiefs are no match for you."

"Go back and take good care of your tribe. A Magic Wolf will deliver the mission you need to perform later. Just wait patiently."

After Godo left, Renn tossed aside his fishing rod and looked down to see an empty fish basket.

"A small pond just doesn't have fish. I wasted my time sitting here for so long."

Renn turned around and slapped Reck, who was crouching beside him.

"Let's go, Reck!"

Reck didn't quite understand why his master was suddenly angry, but he obediently got up and left with Renn.

Although the alliance of the Alien Tribes was not unexpected, their combined strength slightly exceeded Renn's estimates. Although he had appeared calm and unruffled in front of Godo just now, he actually took it very seriously in his heart.

"With this kind of strength, they don't go head-to-head with Blackstone, but instead run here to fight me. They really think I'm an easy target!"

Renn had to go back and carefully plan the upcoming battle.
