137: Chapter 137 The Cargo Ship's Long Voyage

"I look forward to our next meeting, Lord Lin Fang."

Halfway through the press conference, Andreas proposed leaving early. He had urgent business to attend to, and furthermore, he had accepted a parliamentary mission. If Lin Fang hadn't been there, he wouldn't have spent the time coming to this remote industrial park.

Seeing him about to leave, Lin Fang shook his hand with reluctance, saying, "Andreas, I feel the same."

But when Andreas looked up to meet his gaze, he realized the young man's eyes were like black holes, causing his entire consciousness to sink into darkness.

Watching Andreas suddenly collapse to the ground, Pellegrini was scared out of his wits. Just as he wanted to say something, he realized Lin Fang's gaze had turned toward him, devoid of any ripples, so calm it was suffocating.

"Minister Pellegrini, do you wish to stay?"

"No! No, no, no!" Pellegrini almost sprang up. "I'm leaving! I'm leaving right now!"

Pellegrini stammered his assurances while quickly leaving the room, not daring to look at Lin Fang or the unconscious Andreas on the ground even once.

The room returned to silence.

Lin Fang waited for a moment, and a Clones from the Comprehensive Department walked in carrying a black box.

Inside was the Hades Chip for brain control.

Since he was already here, he had to give something before going back, so Lin Fang implanted the Hades Chip into the back of Andreas's neck, near his spine.

"hades."

After waking up the Hades Chip, Andreas opened his eyes again.

"BOSS," Andreas said respectfully.

Lin Fang nodded and prepared to wake up Andreas's consciousness. Then, a bizarre scene occurred: the old man smiled and shook hands with Lin Fang again.

The next second, Andreas felt something was a bit off as he shook hands with Lin Fang, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

It must have been an illusion.

...

After he left, Lin Fang put away his smile. Just now, Xiao Hei had alerted him to a piece of news: a maritime force intended to hijack the Central Continent Civil Engineering Group's cargo ship bound for Molo tomorrow.

Normally, such a matter wouldn't concern Lin Fang; if they wanted to hijack it, let them, the group could handle it itself. But the problem was, Xiao Hei's current core, that 550W Quantum Computer, was currently on that large cargo ship.

Lin Fang had originally intended to disguise it slightly and, using the Central Continent Civil Engineering Group's transport channels, mix it in with several supercomputers with legitimate export qualifications to be shipped to Molo. As for the paperwork, with Xiao Hei's hacking capabilities, adding a few strokes to these relevant certificates was easy.

Seeing this, Lin Fang couldn't help but narrow his eyes: "Xiao Hei, does someone know something?"

The existence of the 550W Quantum Computer, or some other unfavorable factors—if that were really the case, Lin Fang felt he needed to eradicate it early, and this time, he wouldn't even spare the children.

Xiao Hei immediately replied solemnly: "Boss, in my surveillance, no one knows that the 550W Quantum Computer is on the ship. The India government behind that maritime force is targeting the other supercomputers on the ship."

"Who leaked it to them?"

"A first mate named Li Rui. Just now, his overseas account received 20 million U.S. dollars."

"Boss, do you need to take action?"

Lin Fang looked at the Malacca Strait port on the surveillance screen. That giant ship that had set off from Coastal Sea was quietly docked at the berth, like a dormant giant beast. The stacked containers on the deck were arranged neatly, waiting to set sail again tomorrow.

After thinking for a moment, Lin Fang chuckled: "Xiao Hei, connect me to the Captain's phone."

The next morning, Lin Fang took a flight to the Kualanamu International Airport, which was closest to the Malacca Strait.

When Lin Fang arrived at the largest port in the Malacca Strait, a group of people were already waiting for him at the port entrance. The middle-aged man leading them was none other than Zhang Yongkui, the Captain of the Fengze Ship.

When Zhang Yongkui saw Lin Fang, he was incredulous: "Mr. Lin, I didn't expect you to actually come. I thought you were joking. How are you here?"

"This place isn't very peaceful," Zhang Yongkui thought, clicking his tongue in wonder as he looked at the young and promising man who was just like the files described.

"It's just a coincidence. I happen to be returning to Molo, and hearing that Captain Zhang was here, I just came over."

Lin Fang lied without blushing or skipping a beat, his tone relaxed and natural, as if it were truly just an accidental visit on the way.

"What, Captain Zhang, do you not welcome me hitching a ride?"

How could Zhang Yongkui say he wasn't welcome to this big boss? He quickly waved his hands: "Mr. Lin, what are you saying! It is our honor to have you board the Fengze Ship!"

"By the way, let me introduce you to this person." Zhang Yongkui gestured to a lean middle-aged man beside him: "This is my first mate, Li Rui."

Lin Fang's gaze fell on Li Rui. Li Rui was around forty, his skin dark and rough from years at sea. His eyes seemed steady, but the moment he met Lin Fang's gaze, a trace of panic flashed deep within them. He subconsciously straightened his back, trying hard to make his expression look natural and respectful.

"Mr. Lin, hello! I've long admired your name!" Li Rui stepped forward and extended both hands.

"First Mate Li is the backbone of our ship," Zhang Yongkui added with a smile, not noticing anything amiss. "He has strong professional skills and a great sense of responsibility. He has been particularly focused on the safety checks before this voyage."

"Hmm." Lin Fang replied indifferently, having no intention of shaking Li Rui's hand.

The air seemed to freeze for a moment.

Li Rui's arm froze in mid-air, neither extending nor retracting. The respectful smile on his face became extremely forced, even somewhat awkward. The panic he had been trying hard to conceal was now almost breaking out of its cocoon.

Seeing this, Zhang Yongkui's heart skipped a beat. Although he didn't understand why, he immediately tried to smooth things over, smiling and gently patting Li Rui on the shoulder: "Old Li, Mr. Lin has traveled a long way and is tired; let's skip these formal pleasantries."

"Mr. Lin, everything is ready. We will depart on time in an hour. Let me take you to the bridge lounge to sit for a while." Zhang Yongkui attempted to ease the awkwardness.

"Sorry to trouble you, Captain Zhang," Lin Fang took the lead in the conversation.

At this point, the ship was only two days away from Molo, so Lin Fang naturally wouldn't let them turn back.

Zhang Yongkui and the group led Lin Fang toward the gangway, introducing the cargo ship along the way. These containers were filled with large construction machinery and modular components, all for the construction on the island.

Li Rui lagged a few steps behind the group, looking at Lin Fang's back with shock and suspicion. Just now, he felt like a Joker who had been seen through at a glance; all his thoughts had nowhere to hide in front of the other person.

It must be a coincidence. How could he possibly know?

Thinking of the 30 million U.S. dollars that had just arrived in his account last night, Li Rui felt a burning sensation in his heart. Looking at Lin Fang, his gaze also carried mockery. He suddenly became eager to see this valuable bigwig crying and begging for mercy when facing the muzzle of a gun.
