47: Chapter 47 Dimensional Weight 50%

...

Orson Sinclair had been living quite comfortably these past few days. That evil spirit hadn't possessed his body for ten days now. Had the great Jehovah destroyed it?

Praise the Lord,

Orson Sinclair thought it highly likely. He decided to write this bizarre experience into his personal biography, titling the chapter 'Orson Sinclair's Strange Adventure of Vanquishing an Evil Spirit'.

To celebrate, Orson specifically asked the chef to prepare a lavish breakfast today, including imported Alba white truffles and a steak. This would have been unthinkable for the health-conscious Orson of before, but he had become much more open-minded now.

Tucking the napkin into his collar, Orson prepared to begin enjoying today's breakfast.

...

"The flavor is excellent, just a bit small in portion," Lin Fang commented after devouring the steak in two bites.

A few minutes later,

The butler approached and, looking at the old man who had finished his breakfast, said with a smile, "Master, it seems your appetite is quite good today."

Lin Fang wiped his hands with a dry towel. "Harold, tell me about my schedule for today."

"Master, you need to go to the city hall today. Mayor Rio has summoned several families, including ours, to discuss the expansion of the power plant."

"Tell Noah to go in my place."

Lin Fang deftly pushed aside the arrangement; he wasn't interested. He'd rather spend the time playing ball with his granddaughter.

Besides, he had other matters to attend to.

"Harold, bring me the kitten Nina is raising."

It was a very cute Ragdoll cat. His granddaughter, Nina, often held it up to show Lin Fang how it could walk on its two hind legs.

"Yes, Master,"

Butler Harold, though a bit puzzled, went to do so.

Soon,

A kitten was brought before the old man, held by the scruff of its neck.

The kitten was somewhat familiar with Lin Fang, so it didn't struggle when he took it. On the contrary, it even rubbed against his hand. This gentle touch made Lin Fang almost reluctant to proceed with his plan.

After obtaining the Black Watch, Lin Fang had tried many times. Living creatures could not be placed inside the Spacetime Package, from ants as small to hunting dogs as large.

Even plants had to be devoid of vitality before they could be stored.

But what if the Venom Dimension weight exceeded 50%? Lin Fang had pondered this question. The benefits brought by the increase in weight were evident, from being a prisoner to becoming a wealthy man.

It was like a sport, with initial, middle, and final climaxes. After passing the halfway point, there should be some changes.

And after over a month of Lin Fang's frequent patronage bringing guaranteed minimum gains, his current weight in the Venom Dimension was 51%!

Carrying the kitten back to his study, Lin Fang decided to use this kitten to test his theory. The kitten in his arms seemed to sense something and began to squirm uneasily, struggling even more fiercely when the old man started chuckling weirdly, trying to escape his clutches.

But it was already too late.

As Lin Fang willed it, a brief, strange fluctuation appeared around the kitten's body, and it vanished from the old man's embrace.

The hypothesis was confirmed!

"Meow—" "Meow—"

In less than a minute, the Ragdoll cat reappeared in Lin Fang's arms, jumped down, and ran screaming on its two hind legs towards the door, pawing at it incessantly.

Good, it seemed unchanged. Lin Fang got up and opened the study door for it. The kitten accelerated on the spot and darted away, disappearing from sight.

Returning to his desk, Lin Fang stared at the date, deep in thought. There were now nine days left until the Drake Life Foundation's "Life One" exploration rocket returned. Originally, to gain more benefits, Lin Fang hadn't planned to interfere with the early plot. He had only had people monitor Eddie Brock's movements.

But that was under the premise that the Spacetime Package couldn't store living beings.

Now, Lin Fang decided to overturn that plan. He would go directly to the starting point of the plot and take possession of all the symbiotes that came to Earth first!

...

...

Time: Nine days later

Location: Drake Life Foundation Rocket Launch Base

The crucial "Life One" rocket was returning today, undoubtedly putting the entire base's personnel on edge.

Dressed in a navy blue suit, Carlton Drake was personally on site. Looking at the return data, his eyes held unconcealed ambition. He aimed to use these alien biological samples to establish a higher form of human society.

To this end, he would spare no cost.

Moreover,

Carlton's eyes darkened. From the Cassius he had seen, to the infamous demon mage Murray Hawthorne circulating online, and the still-unfound thief from the Eiffel Power Plant...

There might be even more unseen. Carlton believed there were unknown forces stealing resources from his already impoverished world.

These despicable thieves!

"Calling Life One, signal unstable, please respond."

"Control center calling Life One, please respond! Calling Life One, please respond!"

...

A sudden alarm snapped Carlton out of his thoughts. He suddenly had a bad feeling.

"What happened?"

"Cracks have appeared in Life One's hull. An astronaut has sent a distress signal," a tracking and control operator answered rapidly.

Damn it. Carlton Drake strode to the center of the screens, looking at the red alerts. "How far is the spacecraft from the atmosphere?"

"500 kilometers from the Kármán line."

"Can we establish contact?"

"We are trying our best."

Bang—

Carlton slammed his fist heavily on the table, grabbing the person in charge by the collar. "Tell me, if the spacecraft crashes, will the biological samples be compromised?"

The person in charge trembled with fear. "Sir, I cannot guarantee it, but the spacecraft's intelligent system will activate the backup thrusters upon atmospheric entry."

"Predict the crash site. Have our people get there as soon as possible," Carlton released him.

A few minutes later, Carlton received the predicted crash site for the spacecraft: Malaysia.

——

East of Malaysia at this moment,

Orson Sinclair, dressed in full off-road gear, slapped himself hard.

Better not let this old man get sucked into hypoglycemia.

Looking at the Malaysian giant mosquito, a full two centimeters long, on his palm, Lin Fang regretted not bringing an electric mosquito swatter. There were just too many mosquitoes in this damned place. How satisfying that slap must have been.

It was already 2 a.m. From dusk until now, he had been perched on this fork of a merbau tree, nearly two meters in diameter, for half a day. As for why he was up a tree—in this desolate tropical rainforest, Lin Fang was genuinely afraid some wild beast might carry him off.

According to the location in the movie, the Drake Life Foundation spacecraft crashed in this Borneo forest reserve.

Just as Lin Fang was confirming the location again, a red dot of light suddenly appeared on the horizon.

It's here!

The old man on the tree fork perked up, raising the binoculars hanging around his neck to observe.

As the distance closed, the outline of the dot gradually became clear. It was a spacecraft glowing with a fierce red heat, enveloped in raging flames, trailing a long, dazzling tail of fire.

The flames burned and roiled violently in the atmosphere, shooting out countless golden sparks.

So beautiful, like a gift from the universe.
