361: Chapter 361 Adaptive Evolutionary Enzymes

The flagship of the Atlas Expeditionary Fleet, according to Ains, had a crew of twenty thousand. Upon entering the main control room, Lin Fang witnessed a scene of intense activity.

“Jump preparation initiated. Galaxy coordinates NGC-7293, third planetary orbit of the Helix Nebula. Target designation: Pandora-7.”

A cold electronic voice echoed through the control room; it was the local intelligent program.

“Jump countdown starting. Ten, nine, eight, seven...”

“Six,”

“Five,”

“Four,”

“Three,”

“Two,”

“One.”

Lin Fang felt as if the entire World had been sucked away for an instant.

It wasn't a vibration or dizziness, but a strange silence.

Sound vanished.

Light distorted.

Outside the viewport, Earth rapidly collapsed in his vision, shrinking from a Planet to a point of light, then from a point of light to a residual shadow. The starry sky looked like a crumpled piece of silk, everything stretching into lines, flowing toward an unknowable direction.

If Lin Fang hadn't miscalculated, this state lasted for twelve seconds.

Then, everything returned to normal.

The light became normal again—the blue light of holographic projections, the indicator lights of the console, and that unfamiliar starry sky outside the viewport.

“Jump complete.”

The electronic voice spoke again, “Jump duration: twelve seconds. Jump distance: 4.37 light-years. Hull integrity: 100%.”

They had arrived at Pandora.

Ains ordered the fleet to land, then took a pale yellow injection from a soldier and said to Lin Fang:

“This serum is an Adaptive Evolutionary Enzyme developed by Kaiju Company. It helps the human body regulate itself and accelerates adaptation to the climate of Pandora Planet, allowing one to breathe freely without a respirator.”

“If you intend to set foot on this Planet, injecting this serum will be much more convenient.”

Lin Fang nodded slightly, indicating his understanding.

After the injection, the ship landed in its corresponding dock. The Adaptive Evolutionary Enzyme was indeed miraculous; Lin Fang felt no discomfort on Pandora, nor any sensation of suffocation.

At this moment, Lin Fang gasped as he looked at the massive Base named Starfire. it had hollowed out nearly half of Pandora Planet, with a staggering diameter of 11,000 kilometers.

It housed over three million warships of various types, while industrial Bases of varying scales had also been established elsewhere on Pandora Planet.

To prepare for the war against the Philiphimus Civilization in three months, Kaiju Company had pushed its militarization to the absolute extreme.

Ains accompanied Lin Fang as they began to tour the area.

Many soldiers and Officers cast their gazes toward the youth beside Ains, but none dared to interrupt. A youth accompanied by the supreme ruler of this place inherently signified an extraordinary status.

“Impressive,”

After taking the elevator to the top of Starfire Base, Lin Fang spoke to Ains beside him without missing a beat, “To be honest, among the Worlds I have visited, the human civilization here ranks in the top three.”

Being first is also being in the top three, isn't it?

“What Worlds has your Excellency visited?” Ains asked, the curiosity in his eyes genuine.

Lin Fang spoke briefly and promised to give him two Level 5 Jaegers as a meeting gift.

As they conversed, Ains's gaze filled with even more astonishment.

Two hours later,

In the top-tier restaurant of Starfire Base, Ains invited Lin Fang to taste the local delicacies. After a pleasant meal, the eyes of the youth before Ains suddenly became glazed, as if something was leaving his body.

The real Sean had returned.

Sean looked at his surroundings and then at Ains before him, standing frozen as if struck by lightning.

The unrealistically luxurious restaurant, the endless fleet of warships visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the man before him—the founder of Kaiju Company, the uncrowned king of the World, Jonathan Ains.

Was this really him?

Sean's lips trembled, his mind a total blank.

What had happened? Hadn't his adjutant noticed something wrong and had him locked in the interrogation room?

Sean's thoughts were a chaotic mess—the interrogation room, the blinding lights, the stern faces of Hawke and McClen, and those voices of repeated questioning. These memory fragments tumbled in his mind, yet he couldn't piece together a complete picture.

Until the middle-aged man spoke, his majestic voice clearly telling him this was no illusion.

Ains frowned, “Sean Lancel?”

He already knew the other's profile inside and out.

“It's... it's me,”

Sean answered cautiously.

Ains shook his head and stood up to leave. It was the same body, but the person sitting here just now was someone he couldn't see through, as if the entire World was just a stepping stone beneath his feet.

Yet this person now was timid, with shifting eyes, not even daring to breathe loudly—they were like two different people.

【Successful evacuation from the Godzilla: King of the Monsters plane】

【Materials obtained: Adaptive Evolutionary Enzyme】

【Plane weight increased, current weight 95%】

A 5% weight increase in one go; it seemed this technology was a breakthrough. Back at the Black Watch Base, Lin Fang toyed with the pale yellow serum in his hand, lost in thought.

Before resolving the unknown disaster on Mars, Lin Fang didn't plan to continue increasing the weight. He intended to open a Wormhole leading to Pandora Planet.

He had this idea at 50%, but because he didn't know the details of that World, he had delayed it. Now, the time had come.

A moment later, a middle-aged man wearing thick glasses entered the room. Seeing Lin Fang, he said respectfully:

“BOSS, it's a pleasure to see you. Is there anything I can do to assist you?”

He was a B4.2 level authorized personnel from the Inner World, Rory Finn, specializing in biomedicine and pharmacology.

Lin Fang handed him the evolutionary enzyme. “Professor Rory, this is your new task. The relevant data has already been dispatched to you via the system...”

Using Sean's body, Lin Fang could inject this evolutionary enzyme without concern, but if he were to go in person, he naturally had to be more cautious.

“BOSS, leave it to me,”

Rory Finn said confidently as he carefully took the pale yellow serum. He adjusted the thick glasses on the bridge of his nose and leaned in for a closer look; after all, a task personally assigned by Lin Fang was of no small consequence in Rory's eyes.

A day passed.

Rory returned to Lin Fang's office with a report and samples. The report stated that the evolutionary enzyme was harmless to the human body.

“BOSS, I have completed the full sequence analysis, component replication, and toxicity testing of the Adaptive Evolutionary Enzyme. The results...”

Rory said with excitement,

“With this, humans can easily adapt to various harsh environments and greatly enhance their resistance to microorganisms.”
