192: Chapter 192 The Useless Brother
Until the weight reached 50% and the Kaminax Tribe could come to this world, Lin Fang still had to stay in this body for a while.
What souvenirs should I bring back today?
Lin Fang made a decision and said, "Number Two, search for Poké Balls." If they could be obtained just by spending money, he planned to buy a few to take back.
Number Two, who knew Lin Fang well, quickly displayed the information he needed on the screen.
"They're only circulated through official channels?"
Lin Fang looked at the information with a thoughtful expression. In this world, Poké Balls were actually controlled items; their production and sales were strictly regulated, and most people didn't even have a way to come into contact with them.
Moreover, Lin Fang saw an even more hidden truth: the production site of Poké Balls was not the major nations, but actually the Pokémon kingdom of Osialia.
Regarding records of Osialia, the information Number Two could find online was relatively sparse. Most were just guesses from the common folk; only the intelligence centers of major nations had records, and even those weren't many.
Lin Fang pondered: were these Pokémon going to catch themselves?
It seemed there were significant secrets involved.
In the movie "Detective Pikachu," a Poké Ball only appeared once on screen—when the protagonist, Tim Goodman, was catching a Cubone. As for how he got that Poké Ball, perhaps it was because his father was a first-class detective?
After finishing the materials above,
Lin Fang stood up, preparing to leave. Although the ways to obtain a Poké Ball were few, they weren't untraceable; there was at least one in this small city.
It was worth mentioning that the composition of this world leaned more toward the live-action movie rather than the anime or games. There was no distinction of levels for Poké Balls or even Pokémon; the official stance was just that their danger levels varied.
Those that were viviparous stayed viviparous, and those that were oviparous stayed oviparous. The main difference from other worlds was the strange species known as Pokémon.
Mating videos of various Pokémon were also favorites of people with certain fetishes.
"Sigh—"
Lin Fang sighed. He wasn't lamenting that he hadn't watched them, but rather that his dream of being a Trainer had shattered. What a shame...
Coming outside, Lin Fang found that Lili, who had been waiting there, was nowhere to be seen, nor was her shadow visible in the lobby.
Lin Fang picked up his phone to ask Number Two and discovered through surveillance that she had been shoved out of the internet cafe by a group of people, finally disappearing into an alleyway over 200 meters away.
Hmm... the classic alleyway.
Lin Fang chuckled and followed after them.
—
In the dim alleyway, Takahashi Lili huddled in a corner, trembling. She had originally just wanted to wait outside for Lin Fang, but she hadn't expected to run straight into the people she least wanted to see.
In front of her were several tall girls.
The girl leading them was named Sato Yumi, a well-known clique leader at school. Wearing a shortened school uniform skirt, she stood with her arms crossed, looking down at Lili with eyes full of undisguised malice and mockery.
The other four girls beside her spread out in a semi-circle, blocking all of Lili's possible escape routes.
"Oh, isn't this our pure honor student, Gao Lili?" Sato Yumi spoke, her voice sharp and mean, sounding exceptionally piercing in the silent alley.
"What brings you to the city center? Where's your knight in shining armor? Oh, I forgot, for someone like you who only knows how to act pitiful to win sympathy, how could anyone truly stay by your side?"
"Where has your useless brother run off to now?"
"Yumi-senpai is talking to you! Are you deaf?" A short-haired girl nearby suddenly kicked hard at Lili's thigh.
Caught off guard, the pain from her leg made Lili gasp. She curled up on the ground, clutching her leg.
"Look at you," Sato Yumi stepped forward, her well-maintained fingers with bright nail polish poking Lili's forehead repeatedly. "Acting all innocent and naive, who knows how you're seducing boys behind our backs? You really are a slut!"
"I didn't..." Lili's voice was as faint as a mosquito's, carrying a sob.
"You dare talk back?" Sato Yumi's gaze turned fierce, and she delivered a crisp slap to Lili's face.
*Slap!*
The loud sound echoed in the alley. A clear handprint immediately appeared on Lili's fair cheek, burning with pain.
Lili's head was knocked to the side, and tears finally fell uncontrollably.
"Crying? What else can you do besides cry?"
Seeing Lili cry, Sato Yumi didn't feel the slightest bit of pity; instead, she became even more excited. What she hated most was Lili's pitiful act. Sato Yumi grabbed Lili's hair, forcing her to look up. "Listen, Takahashi Lili, I won't bully you. Let's play a role-playing game. As long as you crawl through here..."
Sato Yumi pointed between her legs with a smile on her face. "And then bark like a dog a few times, I'll let it go for today."
The other girls burst into piercing laughter, and someone had already taken out a phone to record.
"Yumi-senpai is giving you a chance, don't be ungrateful!" the short-haired girl said, kicking Lili again.
Someone tugged at Lili's clothes. "Let's just strip this bitch's clothes off first."
"Crawl, hurry up!"
"Are you going to crawl or not?"
*Slap! Slap! Slap!*
"Let go! I only want you to take off your clothes, I didn't tell you to take off your underwear," the girl pulling at Lili's clothes shouted impatiently, pulling even harder.
The girl with the phone took a close-up of Lili's tear-stained face. "Come on, give us a smile. An honor student's crying face is a very popular subject, you know."
Lili desperately clutched her collar, tears of humiliation and fear mixing together, like a helpless leaf in a storm.
"Fine, you guys move aside,"
Seeing that she wouldn't cooperate, Sato Yumi said, feeling bored, and gestured for the others to step back.
But then, a cruel smile appeared on Sato Yumi's face. She lightly snapped her fingers. "It seems I have to get serious."
"Shinx, go play with her."
On Sato Yumi's shoulder, a well-proportioned feline Pokémon with black and blue fur, sharp eyes, and a signature yellow four-pointed star pattern jumped down excitedly.
"Meow!"
It arched its back, a threatening growl coming from its throat, and its claws flickered with electricity. It was clearly specially trained and knew how to intimidate its target.
"Don't... don't come over..." Lili watched the approaching Shinx and shrank back in fear, but behind her was a cold wall; there was nowhere to run.
What she feared most was this little cat; every time, it was the one that left numerous scars on her body.
She was so terrified that waves of dizziness washed over her brain.
Just as Lili's consciousness was about to be swallowed by the darkness, a voice so calm it lacked even a ripple rang out at the mouth of the alley, like a shaft of light piercing through heavy dark clouds:
"What are you doing?"
