72: Chapter 72 A One-Man Army

The Umbrella Corporation's use of bio-chips was simple and crude.

Preventing deception, and controlling explosions.

After all, that artificial idiot, the Red Queen, could only do so much.

As the new boss, Lin Fang had reviewed the details of Isaac's Apocalypse plan. He had encapsulated 0.1 milligrams of the T-Virus into the bio-chips implanted in the U.S. high-ranking officials, intending to detonate them on the same day. However, plans changed, and he decisively moved the date forward.

Truly an excellent villain.

Thinking of this, Lin Fang didn't delay any further. With a thought, an icon in his inventory disappeared, and a black incubator suddenly appeared on the table.

After entering the password, the electronic lock on the incubator disengaged. A faint white mist spilled out from the gap, and the incubator slowly opened to reveal a dozen test tubes filled with pale green liquid and several boxes secured in slots.

Lin Fang picked up a box engraved with "hades." Inside was the Umbrella Corporation's top-tier technology, the "hades" brain-control bio-chip, named after the god of the underworld in Greek mythology—a technology capable of mastering souls and death.

It was expensive, costing about 1 million U.S. dollars per unit. Lin Fang felt embarrassed to take too many, so he only took 200.

Using tweezers, Lin Fang carefully picked up the oval-shaped, pale green chip. It was about 60 square millimeters in size, and to the naked eye, both sides seemed to be coated with a layer of white powder.

Lin Fang became interested. His electromagnetic Force Field quickly covered the chip in front of him. A dense, microscopic city composed of crystals and circuits appeared in his consciousness—a level of sophistication modern industry could not achieve.

Just as he wanted to delve deeper, a slight burning smell drifted from the chip. Lin Fang's expression stiffened; his control over his Force Field was still insufficient. 1 million U.S. dollars were about to be thrown into the trash.

After disposing of the corpse, Lin Fang picked up a signal converter that looked like a USB drive from the incubator, which had a seed-shaped groove on it.

After placing a new green seed inside and plugging in the USB cable connected to the computer, the most laborious and arduous task was complete. The rest would have to be left to Xiao Hei.

【Boss, Xiao Hei is parsing it.】

【Parsing complete.】

【This chip is essentially a bio-computer. It has its own memory, processor, and signal source, and supports the simulation of neural impulses and brain stimulation.】

"Well done, Xiao Hei. You truly are an important member of our company," Lin Fang praised without hesitation, watching the efficiency.

【Oh, it's all thanks to the Boss's teaching.】

Xiao Hei seemed embarrassed.

"Can it meet my requirements?"

【Yes, Boss. By implanting a modified intelligent program, it can fully achieve control, bewitchment, and various assassination behaviors.】

Lin Fang relaxed. "Good, I'll leave this to you. Its users will have to wait a few more days."

A week later, Lin Fang returned to the laboratory. This lab had been closed since last week, and no one except Lin Fang had permission to enter.

After the access control was locked, a hospital bed with five people lying on it appeared out of thin air in the open space. These were the Clones cultivated by the Hive for Lin Fang.

They were 1.85 meters tall, weighed 90kg, and their facial features were set according to modern ethnicities from various countries. All five looked different, and they were all male.

According to Lin Fang's requirements, their brain growth had been suppressed with hormones from the beginning of their cultivation, leaving only the cerebellum and brainstem. They were effectively just breathing husks.

But looking at these bodies, which were no different from adult humans, Lin Fang suddenly felt a bit hesitant. Did they not deserve to have their own lives and thoughts?

Tsk, he must have had too much time on his hands.

Lin Fang teased himself, then turned the first Clone over, preparing to implant the modified Hades Chip into him.

Opening the incubator on the table again, Lin Fang took out the pale green liquid and poured it into a transparent container nearby.

This was not the T-Virus, but the carrier for the Hades Chip. If it were, Lin Fang would already be screaming by now—or perhaps, after his genetic optimization, he might have developed a resistance.

Using tweezers, Lin Fang carefully picked a flat, green creature out of the liquid. It was shaped somewhat like a beetle, but underneath it grew eight white tentacles, and if one looked closely, one could see tiny serrations on them.

This single-celled organism, which was about three times the size of a Hades Chip, was a viral mutant. It was currently clutching the tweezers and wriggling uneasily; Lin Fang could even hear the sound of its tentacles rubbing against the tweezers.

Too beautiful.

Lin Fang took another instrument from the incubator to secure it. Its survival time in the air was only a short three minutes, so he had to handle it quickly.

Using a scalpel with an No. 11 blade, he made a small incision on the back of the mutant, and Lin Fang quickly inserted a Hades Chip into it.

The biological current it released would drive this chip.

After insertion, because the colors matched, the Hades Chip seemed to disappear inside it, and the wound on its back quickly healed.

Quickly making a two-centimeter incision in the skin at the back of the first Clone's neck, Lin Fang placed the flat green creature onto it.

Seemingly having scented blood, the creature immediately burrowed into the wound, disappearing from Lin Fang's sight in less than half a second.

No one would imagine that it would continue to burrow deeper, relying on the human body to parasitize the cervical spine deep in the back of the neck. Even if the host died, it could still survive briefly by relying on the living flesh.

Moreover, the chip inside it was made of bionic materials, making it difficult for conventional detection methods like MRI and CT scans to discover its existence. This flat creature could also be controlled by the chip to explode, effectively preventing the chip from falling into the hands of others.

Convenient, simple; it was truly a product of his own company.

A few minutes later, Lin Fang said to the Clone lying on the bed with some anticipation: "hades, wake up."

Under Lin Fang's gaze, this Clone, tentatively named Number One, rolled over in place, sat up from the bed, and looked at Lin Fang.

"BOSS."

Lin Fang stepped forward to examine the Clone. Its face was calm and natural, and its azure pupils reflected his own figure; no abnormalities could be seen.

Just like a real, living person.

"How do you feel?" Lin Fang tugged at its cheek.

"Everything is normal. Body reception is correct."

The voice was natural but devoid of emotion; this was the intelligent program inside the Hades Chip answering.

"Xiao Hei, what skills did you implant in them?"

【Boss, I've sewn them all in. As long as they are strengthened through training, they will be omnipotent within the limits of their physical bodies.】

How could that idiot Red Queen compare?

Lin Fang's eyes could not help but become eager. He would give these Clones identities, letting them become an army that could operate both in the light and hidden in the darkness.

An army that belonged only to himself.

After thinking for a moment, Lin Fang decided to give this army a name.
