342: Chapter 342 Use it sparingly
Looking at the corpses on the ground, the high-ranking officials of Japan were filled with anger but dared not speak out. It wasn't until this group began their forceful takeover that a short man with a mustache finally couldn't hold back. When had he ever suffered such humiliation?
"Bastard..."
But before he could finish, the butt of a soldier's rifle traced a brief yet vicious arc through the air, striking the short official squarely on the jaw.
Everyone watched as the immense horizontal force lifted the man completely off his feet. Several blood-stained white objects, mixed with saliva and shattered tissue, sprayed in a fan-shaped arc from his mouth and splattered onto the ground.
The short man cried out in agony. His cheek was visibly caved in, deformed, and rapidly swelling.
Seeing him in this state, who among the others dared to resist? They obediently allowed the soldiers to escort them out of the council chamber. Only then did they see the aircraft parked outside.
This was not any conventional aircraft known to them.
Its entire body was a glossy, technologically advanced black. Its form was exceptionally sleek, an aggressive, sharply angled Delta-wing configuration.
Its wingspan was estimated to be over twenty meters. It now hovered silently at low altitude. On the underside of the craft, three engine units emitted an eerie blue glow. The heat Kurokawa Saki felt was radiating from them.
The entire aircraft emitted only a faint hum. Despite its massive size, it hovered with an eerie quietness, producing almost no noise.
Even knowing this company's technological prowess, Kurokawa Saki and the others were still horrified upon seeing this craft. Even if they were given fifty more years without facing attack, they couldn't produce something like it.
By now, numerous guards had swarmed the area. But faced with this situation, they dared not make a move. They could only watch helplessly as their Prime Minister and government officials were herded onto that hovering futuristic aircraft.
It then transformed into a black speck on the horizon, vanishing in the blink of an eye.
——
After an indeterminate amount of time, the hatch opened, and Kurokawa Saki and the others saw light once more.
These high-ranking Japanese government officials found themselves at a military base on an island. Upon clearly seeing the base's insignia, Prime Minister Kurokawa Saki's pupils contracted. It was a silver-white triangle.
Delta. Delta?
Information instantly flooded Kurokawa Saki's mind. On the surface, this company was the world's premier private military corporation. In the shadows, it was one of the forces of Third-Party Technology.
Before he could ponder further, Kurokawa Saki and the others were roughly herded onward. To his surprise, they walked for a long time inside the base without stopping, winding through corridors until they entered a structure resembling an elevator.
The interior was very spacious. Even after all thirty-six Japanese government officials entered, it didn't feel crowded.
After they entered, the elevator doors closed. Without anyone appearing to do anything, the elevator began moving automatically.
Moreover, it wasn't ascending. It was heading straight down.
Feeling the weightlessness, panic rose in Kurokawa Saki's heart. Where were these people taking them? In just these few seconds, the elevator had likely descended over a hundred meters, with no sign of stopping.
Finally, after several minutes, under the numb gazes of Kurokawa Saki and the others, the elevator finally came to a halt.
How deep underground had they come?
The elevator doors opened, revealing an exceptionally vast corridor before them. Soldiers escorted the group forward.
As they reached the end of the corridor, a brightly lit underground complex appeared before their eyes.
The sight caused Kurokawa Saki and the others' minds to go blank with shock. They never imagined this was a super-base hidden deep underground. The entire space was so immense it surpassed human imagination, It could easily be called an underground world. (it could truly be called an underground world).
And at the center of the complex, a black tower stood, seemingly reaching for the heavens and piercing the earth, awe-inspiring enough to stun anyone.
"How could this be..."
A government official murmured. So Third-Party Technology was hidden this deeply. What they usually displayed was merely the tip of the iceberg.
Then why had they been brought here? Having seen this place, would they be allowed to live?
As these thoughts surfaced, the official's face turned deathly pale.
He wasn't the only one to realize this.
Kurokawa Saki sighed inwardly. This base was like a demon's lair, likely to devour them completely in the next second.
The group was herded onto several vehicles heading directly for the central black tower. As the distance closed, the officials grew increasingly uneasy.
After several more transfers, they finally arrived at the entrance to a laboratory. They were then pushed into a huge clean room next to it. Most of the surrounding walls were made of transparent reinforced glass. The soldiers did not enter, merely watching them coldly from outside the glass.
"Take off all your clothes," a voice came from a loudspeaker.
Kurokawa Saki and the others exchanged glances.
Seeing no reaction, the voice from the loudspeaker sounded again. "Failure to comply within ten seconds will be considered resistance. Believe me, your fate will be miserable."
"Ten, nine, eight..."
Listening to the countdown, the short official with the swollen face was the first to succumb to fear. He began painfully removing his clothes, exposing the bruises and flab on his body to the air.
With the first one taking the lead, the others, as if all strength had been drained from them, began resignedly undressing. The high-end suits and custom shirts that once symbolized status and power were taken off one by one and thrown into collection bins.
Next, they were treated like stripped hogs. After being washed and disinfected, they were given white uniforms resembling prison garb. Someone noticed the letters "B0" embroidered in large font on the back of each garment.
What did this mean?
Looking at their surroundings and considering this company's most infamous reputation, their unease reached its peak. They quickly deduced their current status.
Test subjects!
This thought exploded in their minds. Many were so frightened they collapsed onto the floor.
But they had no choice. Kurokawa Saki and the others were driven by several soldiers in protective suits through several heavy airtight doors, fully entering the interior of the biological laboratory. Many people were already busy inside.
Seeing the newcomers, a man walked over and said, puzzled, "This experiment doesn't require that many B0-level personnel. I only need five. We've been using up test subjects rather quickly lately. We need to use them sparingly."
A soldier replied gruffly, "Professor Yodelion, the Boss said to let them watch."
"Well then, as long as the Boss likes it..."
Hearing this, Yodelion gave Kurokawa Saki and the others a strange look, then uttered words that sent chills down their spines.
"Now, let me pick five lucky ones."
