116: The mother-in-law who attaches great importance to building a house

After Li Qinghe finished explaining the arrangements, Nguyen Thi Linh and Nguyen Thi Trinh both nodded in understanding.

The two cousins worked together to wash the dishes clean.

Because they had to go to the ao dai shop to buy clothes first, the three of them went upstairs together to call Tran Thi Bao Anh out.

They ended up seeing Tran Thi Bao Anh, already dressed and ready, in the lounge area on the second floor.

Seeing Tran Thi Bao Anh today, Li Qinghe could only think of one sentence: "Money is the best medicine in the world, capable of solving all human sorrows."

This stubborn woman gritted her teeth and supported her family to raise her children.

When unmarried women of this age group in Vietnam were already being called old maid, her eldest daughter had already graduated from high school.

If Nguyen Thi Linh had not met Li Qinghe, Tran Thi Bao Anh's life would have completely withered like a rose without water.

Now, under the abundant and rich nourishment provided by Li Qinghe, Tran Thi Bao Anh, holding onto the tail of her youth, re-blossomed with astonishing charm.

With the fashionable clothes from the big city that Nguyen Thi Linh brought her, she also learned to dress up, as if she naturally had elements of fashion in her genes.

The Tran Thi Bao Anh in front of him had straight, soft hair flowing down, wearing a light-colored short-sleeved shirt, with a pair of wide-leg pants of the same color but a slightly darker shade, and white chunky-heeled sandals.

This 34-year-old woman no longer showed any of the common market-stall air from selling pork on the street; she presented a beauty that was in no way inferior to urban women of the same age.

Tran Thi Bao Anh

"Mom is getting prettier and prettier now."

Nguyen Thi Linh ran forward and hugged one of Tran Thi Bao Anh's arms.

"Aunt Bao Anh is so beautiful, just like a city person."

Nguyen Thi Trinh also praised her from the side.

Li Qinghe just watched with a smile, not saying anything, he was afraid Tran Thi Bao Anh would be shy if he said too much.

"A-He, I just wanted to look a bit more formal when we start work."

Tran Thi Bao Anh, instead, explained to him.

"Aunt Bao Anh, building a house is indeed an important matter that should be taken seriously, so dressing formally is appropriate."

Li Qinghe immediately affirmed this behavior; why would he oppose something that beautifies the environment?

Since Tran Thi Bao Anh was also ready, Li Qinghe took the lead and drove away.

Before returning to the countryside, Li Qinghe took Nguyen Thi Linh and Nguyen Thi Trinh to an ao dai shop to buy two sets of ao dai.

The price of ao dai in the county town was not much different from Hanoi; the ao dai bought this time were not as exquisite, mainly for use as filming props, at 3 million vietnamese dong per set, with blue sheer long pants inside, making the slender white thighs appear faintly.

Tran Thi Bao Anh did not buy an ao dai for her; she was still a bit shy about filming.

After buying the ao dai, Li Qinghe went to buy some cigarettes and fruits; alcohol would not be bought until the construction was completed.

These were all for the workers to cool off; Li Qinghe also negotiated with the fruit stall owner to deliver a batch of fruits to the construction site every two days.

Although these were extra expenses, Li Qinghe knew that "eating a person's food makes your mouth soft, taking a person's things makes your hands short."

The cost of these fruits was a small amount for Li Qinghe, but for the workers, who likely had never enjoyed such working conditions, they would probably work more diligently.

If any problems were found during construction, and Tran Thi Bao Anh complained a bit, the workers would not be able to get angry.

Of course, more importantly, it was to give Ho Anh Tuan face in front of the workers.

It was rare to get such a project, and such a boss who gave extra benefits was uncommon, yet Ho Anh Tuan managed to secure the project order, which would definitely give him great face in front of the workers.

Li Qinghe gave him face, so Ho Anh Tuan had to supervise more diligently.

The fiery Wrangler roared all the way back to Nguyen Gia Van in An Lac Commune.

Ho Anh Tuan was a meticulous person; although the start time was 10:08 AM, it was not even 9 AM yet, and he was already waiting with a construction team.

An excavator, a small truck for building materials, a mixer, plus Ho Anh Tuan's Toyota minivan.

It was clear that this team of over ten workers was brought by Ho Anh Tuan in his minivan all at once.

"Boss Li, Boss Tran, I'm all ready here."

Seeing the red Wrangler appear, Ho Anh Tuan came forward with a smile.

He even prepared celebration items for the start of work: two salute cannons and two 36-shot fireworks.

"Boss Hu, you've worked hard. Your construction team is very unique, half male and half female, very balanced."

"Boss Li doesn't know, but my construction team is all couples. Husbands and wives come to work and earn money together..."

Under Ho Anh Tuan's explanation, Li Qinghe realized that this man was truly shrewd. By recruiting couples, where both husband and wife worked together, the atmosphere would be much better, and it would be easier to manage.

Moreover, Vietnamese women working on construction sites were in no way inferior to men, so Ho Anh Tuan's construction site's working speed was much faster than those purely male construction teams.

Meanwhile, the staff of An Lac Commune had already marked the boundaries of Tran Thi Bao Anh's land with lime, to prevent digging into other people's land during construction.

This was also because Tran Thi Bao Anh's payment had been received yesterday; after the procedures were completed, staff came to the countryside to measure and draw the boundary lines.

A circle was drawn with lime at the entrance of the tin house, and when the time came, the first shovel would dig down from there.

As the sun gradually rose, several villagers had already gathered around the construction site to watch the excitement. In the countryside, where entertainment was scarce, house building was a spectacle that could be watched for a long time.

As the auspicious hour arrived, the workers arranged by Ho Anh Tuan first set off the salute cannons and fireworks.

Then the excavator dug the first shovel of earth, and the tin house was quickly dismantled by the busy work of over a dozen workers.

Because Li Qinghe had given instructions early on, the workers transported the tin sheets to a corner of the land and reassembled them into a smaller tin house.

The furniture moved out of the original tin house was all transported into the newly built tin house.

Li Qinghe only watched for a while before taking two Vietnamese conical hats from the house. He was going to take Nguyen Thi Linh and Nguyen Thi Trinh to film a video.

In fact, he had already filmed the videos of house construction and demolition using two split-screen cameras.

This was also why Li Qinghe originally planned to find a supervisor; with this camera, he would know about anything happening on the construction site immediately.

He left Tran Thi Bao Anh at the construction site. Although she didn't need to do anything, she felt more at ease watching during the initial construction, so Li Qinghe let her be.

Tran Thi Bao Anh, who had regained her radiance, with her fashionable clothes and makeup, also attracted much discussion among the surrounding villagers.

Most of what Li Qinghe could hear was about how fortunate Tran Thi Bao Anh was, that her eldest daughter found a rich man who was directly building a new house for the family.

Everyone looked at Nguyen Thi Linh with envious eyes.

The Nguyen Thi Trinh beside her also made the villagers very surprised, as just yesterday, Nguyen Thi Trinh was still that simply dressed country girl.

Many people took a long time to recognize Nguyen Thi Trinh when she appeared today.

Nguyen Duc Chung's youngest daughter following Nguyen Thi Linh's man—how could this not make the villagers' imaginations run wild?

Li Qinghe didn't pay too much attention; life was his own to live, and the villagers of Nguyen Gia Van, with their excellent traditions, would eventually understand.

The three of them drove to a nearby field, and the two split-screen cameras, disguised as drones, released from Li Qinghe's hand, surprised Nguyen Thi Linh and Nguyen Thi Trinh.

These advanced filming tools made them feel the progress of technology.

But they would never know that these two drones, in modern society, could not be manufactured.

Nguyen Thi Trinh changed back into her old rustic clothes in the car, recalling the first time she met Li Qinghe, and cooperated in filming an episode about their first meeting.
